Albuquerque air monitors detect smoke from Gila fire

send out a smoke plume that can be seen from a satellite 450 miles above the earth. this nasa image from the create lab at unm shows smoke drifting over the metro today. this is a smokey shot looking west over albuquerque from the base of the tram in the foothills. alton franco says he could definitely feel the smoke today on his bike ride. 'You can hear it in my voice. I've been clearing my throat all the way up here.' others, like tiffany acuna whoho has asthma, have felt the smoke TOO. 'Just been sneezing a lot. My eyes you can tell.
