			<description>&lt;p&gt;The Harbor Police made 25 arrests this past week.  There were six for being drunk in public, five for outstanding warrants and five for driving under the influence of alcohol.  Three people were taken into custody and transported to the County Psychiatric Hospital for being a danger to themselves or others.  Two were arrested for possession of a controlled substance and there was one each for resisting arrest, selling drugs, being under the influence of drugs and presenting false identification to an officer. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;There were three vehicles reported stolen on the tidelands.  One was taken from the General Dynamics/NASSCO parking lot, one was stolen near the Coast Guard station on Harbor Drive, and one was stolen from the Budget rental car lot on Pacific Highway.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In other vehicle incidents, there was a hit and run accident at the intersection of Grape Street and North Harbor Drive, a car hit a parking gate at Lindbergh Field,  there was a two-car collision on Harbor Island and another on Harbor Drive near the rental car return area.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The K-9 team responded to two incidents.  One involved the search of a vehicle for explosives or drugs near the Holiday Inn Bayside on Harbor Drive, the other was a search of a vessel on Shelter Island for possible explosives. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;There were seven sick/injury calls.  Three of these resulted in patients being transported to area hospitals. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Harbor Police responded to nine crime reports.  These included vandalism to two cars, stolen property from a storage shed near Shelter Island, stolen property from the San Diego Marriott Hotel &amp;amp; Marina and the Hilton San Diego Bayfront, criminal threats, a violation of a court order, a stolen IPod at Lindbergh Field, stolen luggage and a car was broken into at the San Diego Convention Center.  &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Additionally, there were 14 miscellaneous reports.  Several of these were lost airport employee badges and lost passports.  There were also several reports of lost property.  Also, an airport door was left open, a suspicious person was seen at the airport and two juveniles were taken into custody in Coronado.  There was also a report of a power outage at Lindbergh Field’s Terminal 2.  The Harbor Police were called to check on the welfare of someone and a person who was reported missing was later found. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;There were 46 misdemeanor citations issued.  Most of these were for speeding and other traffic violations.  There was one citation given to someone who urinated in public near the San Diego Maritime Museum.  Other citations were issued for possessing less than an ounce of marijuana, watching television while driving, parking bicycles on the sidewalk and having a knife at an airport security checkpoint.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div class="feedflare"&gt;

			<description>&lt;p&gt;The Harbor Police arrested 29 people this past week.  Eight were for driving under the influence of alcohol, seven were for being drunk in public, five had outstanding warrants, three were taken into custody for being a danger to themselves or others, two were arrested for possession of illegal substances and there was one each for violating a court order, resisting an officer, assaulting an officer and for carrying a weapon into a public building.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;There were six sick/injury calls.  Three of these resulted in hospitalization. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Assistance from the K-9 team was requested three times.  One of these calls involved checking a car on Shelter Island for drugs or narcotics.  Another call was to conduct a sweep of a dignitary’s private aircraft.  The team also checked an unattended package left at Lindbergh Field. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;There were two boat incidents.  One involved a collision near the San Diego-Coronado Bay Bridge.  The other was to assist a vessel that was adrift in the main shipping channel.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Harbor Police responded to 11 crime reports.  These included excessive noise reported at the Manchester Grand Hyatt, violation of a court order, stolen property, vandalism of a car, biting an officer and verbal threats. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In addition, the Harbor Police filed 13 miscellaneous reports.  These included ammunition found at the airport, lost airport employee identification badges, weapons at the airport, drugs found at the airport, illegally filming at the airport and various reports of lost property. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Harbor Police issued 75 misdemeanor citations.  Most of these were for speeding, talking on a cellular phone while driving, expired registration tags and other vehicle related offenses.&lt;/p&gt;

			<description>&lt;p&gt;The Harbor Police made 23 arrests this past week.  There were nine arrests for driving under the influence of alcohol.  One of these included riding a bicycle while drunk.  There were four arrests for outstanding warrants, four for being drunk in public and one each for trespassing, theft, being under the influence of a controlled substance, failing to register as a sex offender, setting off an emergency alarm and being a danger to oneself.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The K-9 team was called out to assist San Diego police with the search of a vehicle on Mission Bay Drive and another on India Street for the possibility of narcotics or explosives.  In addition, the K-9 team searched a briefcase and a suitcase that were left unattended at the airport.  The team also searched a car on Rosecrans Street for possible explosives. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;There were six sick/injury reports.  Three of these required transportation to local hospitals.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Harbor Police responded to 13 reports of crime.  These included several thefts of bicycles, stolen luggage at the airport, a tractor that was vandalized, loitering at the airport, refusing to pay for parking at a hotel on Shelter Island and leaving a restaurant without paying the check.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;There were 25 miscellaneous reports.  These included five separate incidents of ammunition being found at the airport and on an American Airlines flight.  There were also three reports of suspicious people walking around the airport.  One was seen taking photos of planes.  There were also two airport employee badges reported lost, and two passports reported lost.  Someone was reported smoking on a flight and there were two reports of marijuana found at the airport and on Shelter Island. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Harbor Police issued 98 misdemeanor citations.  Most of these were for traffic violations.  Others included fishing without a license, throwing a lit cigarette on the ground, drinking alcohol in a Port park and being in a park after hours.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div class="feedflare"&gt;

			<title>Harbor Police Blotter:  Oct. 7- Oct. 13, 2009</title>

			<description>&lt;p&gt;The Harbor Police made 24 arrests this past week.  There were eight for driving under the influence, five for outstanding warrants, four for being drunk in public and one each for trespassing, possession of a controlled substance, transportation of a controlled substance, being under the influence of a controlled substance, resisting an officer and violation of a restraining order.  In addition, a juvenile runaway was taken to the Polinsky Center for Children.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;There were four sick/injury calls resulting in two patients being transported to area hospitals. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The K-9 team checked two vehicles for the possibility of explosives or drugs.  They also searched an unattended suitcase at Lindbergh Field and were called to the Port’s Administration building to check an unattended item for explosives.  The dogs also searched some packages that were left unattended on Harbor Lane, north of Seaport Village.  None of the searches resulted in explosives or narcotics being found.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Harbor Police assisted when a US Customs &amp;amp; Border Protection vessel in Mission Bay was rammed by a Mexican panga boat.  The Harbor Police helped by pursuing the suspects.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;There were eight reports of theft.  Two reports were from the San Diego Convention Center where computer equipment had been stolen.  There were two reports of theft at hotels, three reports of property being taken from luggage at Lindbergh Field and someone stole copper drain pipe from a Shelter Island business.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Ten miscellaneous reports were filed.  These included three lost airport identification badges, a malfunctioning airport badge, a lost passport, a lost wallet and abandoned ammunition at the airport.  There was also a report of a bag of marijuana that was found at the airport and someone found a belt buckle that resembled a hand grenade.  In addition, someone called the Harbor Police after they were awakened by a person trying to get in through their hotel window on Shelter Island.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Harbor Police issued 63 misdemeanor citations.  These included routine traffic violations such as speeding, and also included camping on tidelands, drinking alcohol in Port parks and other general violations. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;div class="feedflare"&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The Harbor Police took 16 crime reports.  Many of these involved car break-ins.  Other reports related to property stolen from hotel rooms, luggage stolen from the airport, car vandalism and battery.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;There were 23 miscellaneous reports.  These ranged from six instances of abandoned ammunition at Lindbergh Field to lost personal property.  Someone was missing a Transportation Security Administration jacket and there was one report of an airline ticket agent printing a duplicate boarding pass.  In addition, three vehicles were reported stolen on Harbor Drive and Pacific Highway. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Harbor Police also were called out to assist with two fires.  One was a vehicle fire at Lindbergh Field, the other was a fire on one of the Port’s small piers.  The Harbor Police Dive Team also was called out for this incident.  Their help was needed to recover some of the San Diego Fire Department’s equipment that had fallen into San Diego Bay. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;There were 77 citations issued.  These ranged from having an open container of alcohol on the tidelands, being in a Port park past closing time and general traffic infractions.&lt;/p&gt;

			<title>Harbor Police Blotter:  Sept. 23-29, 2009</title>

			<description>&lt;p&gt;There were 19 arrests this past week.  Five were for being drunk in public, five for driving under the influence, three for outstanding warrants, three for parole violations and one each for being a danger to themselves, domestic violence and using unauthorized account information.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Harbor Police officers responded to seven sick/injury calls.  Most of these involved patients with minor injuries.  Four of them were taken to local hospitals for further treatment.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The K-9 team was called out to search an unattended computer scanner that was left at the airport.  There was also a request to assist San Diego police in a search for explosives in the parking garage of a downtown condominium.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Three marine assist calls were responded to.  Two involved vessels that were not properly anchored.  A third call involved suspected illegal immigrants on a vessel in San Diego Bay.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;There were 16 crime reports.  These included several car break-ins, stolen luggage at the airport, two reports of stolen property at the San Diego Marriott Hotel &amp;amp; Marina, and various vandalism reports.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Nineteen miscellaneous reports were filed.  Many of these were for lost personal items such as wallets and drivers licenses.  There were several reports of abandoned ammunition at the airport and a minor accident involving a US Airways loading vehicle and a Department of Homeland Security vehicle at the airport.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In addition, the Harbor Police issued 62 citations.  Most of these were for traffic violations.  Others included urinating in public, drinking in a Port park and littering.&lt;/p&gt;

			<title>Harbor Police Blotter:  Sept. 16-22, 2009</title>

			<description>&lt;p&gt;The Harbor Police made 23 arrests this past week.  Seven of these were for driving under the influence.  There were four each for public drunkenness, outstanding warrants and being under the influence of a controlled substance.  Three people were taken into custody for being a danger to themselves.  One  was transported to the San Diego County Psychiatric Hospital for evaluation.  There was also an arrest for violation of a court order.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Four sick/injury calls were responded to.  Three of the patients were transported to local hospitals. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The dive team was called to recover the body of a woman who had been reported missing.  &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Harbor Police K-9 team was called to search a vessel for narcotics and explosives.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;There were four vessel incidents in San Diego Bay.  One involved an adrift vessel, which the Harbor Police towed.  There was an accident involving a single vessel, a request for courtesy assistance and a report of a vessel taking on water.  The Harbor Police pumped the water out of the vessel and keep it afloat until the San Diego Mooring Company arrived to tow it away.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Two vehicle accidents occurred on the tidelands.  One involved a car hitting a light pole, the other was a car that caused damage to a gate on Harbor Drive. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;There were eight crime reports.  These included several car break-ins and vandalism to a park bench.  In addition, 20 miscellaneous reports were filed.  These included an attempted suicide, a hit and run, a search for a missing person and a false fire alarm. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Harbor Police issued 61 misdemeanor citations.   Most of the violations were for speeding, expired registration, disobeying traffic signs, talking on a cell phone while driving and drinking in the park.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div class="feedflare"&gt;

			<description>&lt;p&gt;There were 18 arrests this past week.  Five were for driving under the influence, there were four arrests for outstanding warrants, three for being drunk in public, one each for being under the influence of paint thinner, violation of parole and assault with a deadly weapon.  In addition, three people were taken into custody for being a danger to themselves.  There was also a citizen’s arrest for a suspect who urinated in public.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The Harbor Police responded to three sick/injury reports.  One of these resulted in a patient being transported to a local hospital.  &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The K-9 team was called out twice to search unattended items left at the airport. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;There were six calls requesting the help of the Harbor Police marine assistance team.  Two were for vessels needing to be towed due to engine trouble.  There was a report of a stolen vessel, a possible rape suspect hiding on a vessel and a request to assist the Coast Guard with towing a vessel that was used for transporting narcotics.  &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Harbor Police officers filed 20 crime reports.  Several of these were for assault, battery and stolen property.  One report involved a person who called the Bay Club Hotel and threatened to blow it up. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In addition, there were 31 miscellaneous reports.  Many of these were related to the airport and included reports of use of profanity on an airplane, refusing to place a dog in a carrier on an airplane, or refusing to put a seat in the upright position to prepare for landing.  There was a report of an Alzheimer’s patient walking away from a hotel, a door left unattended at the Commuter Terminal and a Port vehicle that was damaged. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;There was also a report of a vehicle on fire in the parking lot of the Port of San Diego Administration Building. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Harbor Police wrote 76 misdemeanor citations.  Most of these were for general traffic violations.&lt;/p&gt;

			<description>&lt;p&gt;The Harbor Police made 27 arrests during this period.  Eight were for public drunkenness, five were for outstanding warrants, five were for possession of drugs and four were for driving under the influence of alcohol.  In addition, there was one arrest each for false impersonation, violation of parole, violation of a restraining order and boating under the influence.  One person was taken into custody because he posed a danger to himself.  He was transported to County Mental Health.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Four juveniles were taken into custody.  One was detained and released to his mother.  One was charged with possession of alcohol, one for curfew violation and another was held in protective custody because it appeared he may have suffered emotional and physical abuse.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The K-9 team was called out for three searches.  One incident requested a search of an area around the airport for a possible security breach.  Another call involved searching luggage for drugs or explosives.  The team was also called to assist &lt;st1:city&gt;&lt;st1:place&gt;Coronado&lt;/st1:place&gt;&lt;/st1:city&gt; police for the possibility of drugs or explosives in a &lt;st1:city&gt;&lt;st1:place&gt;Coronado&lt;/st1:place&gt;&lt;/st1:city&gt; hotel.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Harbor Police responded to five incidents of sickness or injury.  One of these resulted in transporting a patient to a local hospital.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Seven crime reports were filed this week.  Someone stole property off a docked vessel, there was a report of graffiti on private property, a ring was stolen from a hotel room, a car was broken into, and there was a call of a stolen identification card.  In addition, two reports of stolen suitcases were made.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;There were 25 miscellaneous crime reports filed.  Eight of these were for ammunition that was found at or near the airport.  There was a report of someone smoking on a Continental flight, a possibly drunk woman wandering around and someone posing as a security officer.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Harbor Police towed a vessel to storage because it was anchored illegally and was a navigational hazard.  Another vessel was taken into storage because its owner was arrested.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;There were 78 citations issued.  These were for a variety of misdemeanor violations such as using a cell phone while driving, speeding, anchoring without a permit and possession of alcohol in a park.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div class="feedflare"&gt;

			<title>Harbor Police Blotter: August 26-September 1, 2009</title>

			<description>&lt;p&gt;Harbor Police Department officers arrested 33 people this week. Several were arrested for parole violations, public drunkenness and outstanding warrants. Five juveniles were taken into custody and two of them were turned over to their mothers. One person, considered a danger to himself, was taken into custody and taken to County Mental Health.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The department issued 79 citations. A number were for traffic violations, such as speeding and running a red light. A few people were cited for possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Two people were cited for throwing a lighted substance, including a cigarette, onto the roadway.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Officers also cited some people for being in the public parks after closing hours. Other citations were issued for driving without a license, driving with a defective tail light, not having a flotation device, camping on the tidelands, driving while talking on a cell phone and parking in an intersection.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The department’s K-9 team responded to four calls, including one in which a dog detected narcotics and in one instance a dog assisted the National City Police Department with a vehicle search.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;There were 13 vehicle reports, including vehicles being stored because their drivers were driving under the influence, one driver was cited for having a suspended driver’s license and one report involved a vehicle that was parked illegally creating a traffic hazard.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Fourteen crime reports were filed during the week. Someone attempted to open a safe and disable a phone line, another person stole luggage and another attempted to steal fishing poles. One report involved child endangerment there was a report of the theft of power tools and a report that someone busted a vehicle door lock.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;There were 23 miscellaneous reports, including someone having a five-inch pocket knife at one of the airport checkpoints, one person was handed a restraining order, .40-caliber bullets were found in an airport baggage screening area and ammunition rounds were declared at a United Express ticket counter. There was a report of smuggling activity, a Phoenix police officer left his gun in a hotel room and Harbor Police assisted the Coast Guard in the search and recovery for a man who died aboard a capsized vessel.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In addition, there were three traffic collision reports, three vessel reports, two accident reports, three sick and injured reports, including a person who had low blood sugar levels and one missing person was located. There were two marine assistance reports and a dive report, both which stemmed from the recovery of the body aboard the capsized vessel.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div class="feedflare"&gt;
