In a rare conversation, a panel of artists and scientists will explore with the audience what it means to be creative in their respective fields. Maria Isabel Garcia, curator of The Mind Museum at Taguig, will mediate this risky rendezvous between artists and scientists. Gilda Cordero-Fernando will conduct a creative exercise-join panel discussion. This activity caps the art exhibit Philippines, Oh My! Philippines of GCF.

1:AM gallery based in San Francisco, CA presents “Tabi Tabi Po,“ a multidisciplinary group exhibition that explores the rich and colorful creatures of Filipino Folklore through Urban Contemporary art, featuring artists who are either Filipino or have Filipino ancestry. A percentage of proceeds will be donated to relief efforts in the Philippines who have been affected by Typhoons Ondoy (Ketsana) and Pepeng (Parma).

Nasser Lubay is a talented self taught contemporary artist based in Candelaria, Quezon, Philippines. He recently bagged second place honors in the painting category at the prestigious Celeste Prize 2009 in Berlin with his work called Rebirth. The Celeste Prize is an international art competition for contemporary artists which was held at the Alte AEG Fabrik in Berlin.
