<img src="http://static.piriform.com/news/rclogo.png" align="right" style="padding-right:10px;padding-bottom:10px" alt="Recuva" />
In this new release of Recuva we've optimized and improved a lot with new our new internal testing systems.
<br/><br/>
Including a new portable U3 installer and better exFAT support.
<br/><br/>
The mildy sad news is that we've had to drop support for Windows 98. The benefit of this is that we can remove the old compatibility code we had to write to support it. This code slowed down the program on newer OSs.
<br/><br/>
The end result is a more compact, faster, fully unicode (and 100% Windows 7 compatible) Recuva!
</p>

<p>The full change log is below:</p>

<ul>
<li>Improved analysis of exFAT drives.</li>
<li>Added U3 portable installer.</li>
<li>GUI fixes for non-standard DPI (large fonts).</li>
<li>Improved error messages for files that cannot be overwritten.</li>
<li>Dropped support for Windows 98 to improve performance.</li>
<li>Fixed bug in language selection.</li>
<li>Minor bug fixes.</li>

</p>

<p>
Defraggler 1.14 is a small release with two important changes. We've improved one of the ways Defraggler works, and we've added a new feature.
</p>

<p>
<b>Recycle Bin emptying</b> - It's always wise to empty your Recycle Bin before you defragment. Not only does this free up space on your hard drive, but it gives Defraggler more room to move and reorganize files for optimum speed and efficiency. Defraggler v1.14 now automatically prompts you to do so.
</p>

<p>
<b>Improved Master File Table handling </b> - The Master File Table (MFT) contains an index of where your files live on the hard drive. By nature it's fixed, and Defraggler can't move it. With this program update, Defraggler handles the files located just around the MFT much more efficiently, so you'll be able to access those files faster in the future.
</p>

</p>

<br/>
<b>Here's the full list of changes:</b>
<ul>
<li>Added 'Empty recycle bin option' before defrag.</li>
<li>Improved placement of files around MFT.</li>
<li>Fixed incorrect defrag button behavior (defrag checked and highlighted while using tabstop).</li>
<li>Fixed crash occurring after pressing defrag button.</li>
<li>Fixed tab order on cleanup drive dialog.</li>
<li>Added Run Defraggler option after installation.</li>
<li>Added Estonian support.</li>
</ul>

<img src="http://static.piriform.com/news/rclogo.png" align="right" style="padding-right:10px;padding-bottom:10px" alt="Recuva" />
Elton John may have sung the virtues of a Pinball Wizard, but we're going to start touting Recuva as an email wizard.
<br/><br/>
The word is spreading that the latest versions of Recuva can be used to recover deleted emails from Thunderbird, Outlook Express, and Windows Mail. That's right - even if you deleted an email from your email program's Trash folder, you should be able to recover it with Recuva.
<br/><br/>
The main change for this release is that we've added support for email recovery right in the Recuva wizard. On the File Type pane, you'll see that you can now select Emails as a type of file to recover.
<br/><br/>
As a quick recap: When Recuva finds deleted emails, it gathers them up into a compressed file (called 'Thunderbird Emails.zip' or similar, depending on your email program). You can unzip this file, which contains the emails as .EML files -- one for each email. Most email programs enable you to re-import these EML files.
<br/><br/>
Even if you don't use the Wizard, you can still search for deleted emails by selecting Emails in the Filename or path drop-down box. Give it a try!
</p>

<p>The full change log is below:</p>

<ul>
<li>Added email recovery to Wizard.</li>
<li>Improvements to Thunderbird email recovery.</li>
<li>Improved handling of very large exFAT drives.</li>
<li>Various stability fixes in 64-bit version.</li>
<li>Updated installer to allow Recuva to run at the end.</li>
<li>Added Estonian language support.</li>

<img src="http://static.piriform.com/news/rclogo.png" align="right" style="padding-right:10px;padding-bottom:10px" alt="Recuva" />
The previous version of Recuva brought recovery of deleted emails for users of Mozilla Thunderbird. With v1.30, we've extended that support to Outlook Express and Windows Live Mail.
<br/><br/>
Normally, when you delete an email, it is moved into the email program's Trash or Deleted Items. But what happens when you empty these and then need that email back?
<br/><br/>
No problem - Recuva's got you covered! If you're using the Recuva Wizard, select "Other" as the File Type. In the results window, switch to advanced view and select Emails from the filter drop-down. If Recuva has recovered deleted emails, they will be contained in ZIP files in the form: Thunderbird emails.ZIP. Restore this ZIP file, and you'll find your deleted emails, sorted by folders.
The emails are in the .EML format, which most email programs can read. Double-click an EML file to view the email in your default email program. Depending on the program, you may also be able to import the EML files back into the program's database.
</p>

<p>The full change log is below:</p>

<ul>
<li>Added recovery of emails from Outlook Express.</li>
<li>Added recover of emails from Windows Mail.</li>
<li>Added 'Email' filter.</li>

With Microsoft Windows 7.0 having been released to developers we've been working hard to fix any final compatibility issues. With this latest version of CCleaner, we've added support for cleaning the new Taskbar Jump Lists.
<br/><br/>
For this release, we also focused on tidying up the user interface and adding niceties that make it easier to use. The new results window has been fixed and improved - a lot of feedback and suggestions came from our users, and we really appreciate that!
