This was a co-op project with Morten from, North Side Custom. I called Morten in to handle the initial black base coat of the pillars, as well as assist me on some of the airbrushing and to do the final clear coat.

The ONLY economical gain is the one that will go to children with UNDIAGNOSED BRAINDISEASES.
Children like my son Giovanni.

My sons disorder is stationary, but there are other children with progressive undiagnosed braindiseases
and they need all the help they can get, since their condition is fatal.
There’s not enough money put into research for these children since, even though they are a high number of children with
an undiagnosed braindisease, each and every child is a minority since one childs condition isn’t completely compatible
to the next and since there’s no other known cases to compare with…
Due to these facts it’s hard and expensive to search for answers (a diagnos) or a cure.”

After six months or more I finally got my magazine project, Kustomposten, finished and shipped to the printers today. I’m very exited about it. It’s has been my pet project for a long time. I saw some test prints today, but I can’t wait to hold the actual first issue of the magazine in my hands.

I’m a big fan of Dice, Rolls & Pleats, Primer etc. those are all foreign magazines in the same genre. I wanted to create one for Denmark in danish. Yes, for now it’s in danish, sorry for that to those of you who don’t read danish. It was one of the premises for the project to try and see how it would work in danish.

Creating a magazine is a LOT of work, and there’s virtually no economy in it. Especially not if you choose to narrow your potential readers down to the few people in the world that speaks the language of a country most people think is a freeway to Sweden. I knew from the beginning that I would have to look at it as an art project. I consider it to be more of a collectors item then a magazine you toss in the bin after you’ve read it. That’s how I consider the subculture magazines I buy. Therefor I strive for best quality print and a cool format with high quality photos. I may experiment more in the future with the printing, there’s so much I would like to try.

I guess this is what musicians feel like when they put out a new song. Will people like it?, or will they think it’s crap? You never know. I hope that the people in the danish hot rod, rockabilly culture will want to have their own magazine and understands that buying it means supporting the idea. Advertisers and sponsors will also be most welcome in future issues. Anything that can help keep the project flying. People who just want to help would also be great, writers, photographers, proofreaders, you name it. If you have a skill of some sort that you think can help out, please get in touch.
