Gretchen Barreto Moves to Kapamilya

Actress Gretchen Barreto is now officially a part of ABS-CBN family after she signed a contract last March 3 for an upcoming television series with actress Bea Alonzo and hunk actor Derek Ramsay with the working title “Till My Heartaches End.”

“Officially, ABS-CBN na ako. Ako ay isang Kapamilya. Legal na ako dito. It’s an exclusive contract sa ABS-CBN para sa teleserye namin ni Bea at Derek,” Gretchen said.

Present within the contract signing were ABS-CBN channel head Cory Vidanes, entertainment head Linggit Tan, and Star Cinema managing director Malou Santos with Boy Abunda, Gretchen’s manager.

Gretchen also expressed her interest of making a movie together with John Lloyd Cruz.

This Sunday, there is another love story to watch in GMA 7’s Dear Friend entitled “My Stalking Heart” which stars Jennica Garcia and new Kapuso talent Carl Guevarra. This is a romantic comedy story that will launch the two teen stars as the newest love team to watch out for.

“Nakakatuwa kasi first time ko makatrabaho si Carl. Tahimk siya pero sa umpisa lang ‘yun. Nasa isang tabi lang siya, ako ‘yung ‘hoy, magsalita ka naman diyan!’ Kasi nga mahiyain siya. Pero mabait naman po siya,” Jennica told the press even before the press launch started.

“Ewan ko kung bakit hindi niya ako masyadong makausap ng harapan. Lagi lang siyang tumatawa. Tawa lang siya ng tawa. Kahit hindi ako nagpapatawa. Tawa lang ng tawa iyang si Carl. So siguro naman masaya naman siya kapag nag-uusap kami,” she added.

Dear Friend’s My Stalking Heart begins this Sunday, March 7 on GMA’s Lingo Bingo.

Starstruck princess Jackie Rice gets her career back as she receives more projects from GMA 7 after she posed sexy in a men’s magazine and she recently mentioned in a phone interview that she is willing to pose nude as long as it is done decently, even if it’s just a finger covering her body.

“Ang laki po ng naitulong ng FHM. Ang daming magandang feedback. As in kahit may topless, hindi nila nasabing bastos, at class daw talaga. Wow, hindi mo talaga iisiping ganun,” Jackie said in an interview.

“Kahit na anong ipagawa nila sa akin, gagawin ko. Gusto ba nilang umiyak ako ngayon? Hahahaha! Sa pagpu-pose naman ng sexy, as long as hindi naman malaswa, alam kong class, okey lang.” She added.

Habang May Buhay (As Long As There’s Life) is one of ABS-CBN’s upcoming teleserye for 2010 featuring Judy Ann Santos which portrays the role of Jane Alcantara, a strong-willed nurse who undergoes family, career, and love challenges in the United States and in the Philippines.

The project was first announced mid of 2007 with a working title “Himala” but later on changed to “Humingi Ako sa Langit” as the ABS-CBN management doesn’t want people to think that it is a remake of Nora Aunor’s movie.

Habang May Buhay has four directors – Wenn Deramas, Jerry Sineneng, Andoy Ranay, and Mark Meily.

It came to our attention earlier that there’s a rumor of Jinkee Pacquiao and Manny Pacquiao’s marriage is now annulled.

According to a blog article coming from showbizph.com, “the court has already released the judgment on the annulment case of Manny and Jinkee a few weeks back, but everything was just kept under wraps so that it won’t spread like wildfire in the news.”

The source also said that it was only the advertising contracts that is keeping the two together, which obliges them to be one family.

Many people will surely ask, was it because of Krista Ranillo? Both Manny and Krista already denied the rumored affair between them.

Is it the reason why Jinkee was seen crying in the church after Manny’s victory over Miguel Cotto? Who knows…
