Fresco di lana by Laura Boffi is one latest innovation in the field of curtain designing. An air conditioning curtain is made up of the wool felt from native sheep in Sardinia, Italy. What’s different about this air conditioning carpet is as the name says providing fresh cool air within the room. To keep the curtain wet, the water is pumped from the tank placed below. The wool curtain in front of open windows / doors does the hot air filtering thereby through the evaporative cooling and freshening the air as it enters the house. Also, the wet felt provides you with the place to grow plants thereby making the indoor vertical garden.

1 Vote(s)

Velichko Velikov is the name that we have come across many times on hometone. After leaving us mesmerized with the “lovely chair" and the “Cubba-Bubba" chair table set, the designer is here with yet another magnum opus . The “Fur Sofa" is a comfy two-seater sofa covered with the Bulgarian cover frieze to let you sit comfortably while you chit chat with your family and friends. If you fret the dust, worry not, the furry cover is removable and easily washable. What else makes it a must buy? Well, its not just the sofa, remove the arm rest in the middle and use it as back-rest while you watch your favorite TV show.

1 Vote(s)

I have embroidered and cut out each individual sprout leaf and glued each curious little eye into place. Over 100 leaves and 17 sprouts have then been hand glued piece by piece to build up this modern take on the traditional Christmas wreath.

Elaine Lee is one talented designer. Under the name mein™, she has built a design studio that celebrates the beauty of all things hand-made. What started as a personal foray into old-school processes in 2007, has naturally progressed into a process-driven design studio.

So far, Elaine’s works have grown to include handcrafted processes such as linocut, hand-carving rubber-stamps, silkscreen printing, even crochet and stitching.

1 Vote(s)

Singapore Artist, Justin Lin's nature is to obsess over truth, to decompose, dissect, observe and reconstruct objects and ideas and impose alternative views on what we see. “In my work I seek to show what should be shown, things that are often veiled," Justin adds. “I like to examine the way we view truth and the thought processes that take place when we choose to accept what we see as truth.
