<h3>Step 9 &#8211; Chip it Using the Pen Tool</h3>
<p>For this part you will need to use the <strong>Pen Tool</strong> to roughly make different shapes to apply the chip-like effect.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-2016" title="ice-text-9-1" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/ice-text-9-1.jpg" alt="ice-text-9-1" width="596" height="447" /></p>
<p>Shapes do not need to be big in size or perfectly shaped, once you have your shape/shapes give it some <strong>Bevel and Emboss</strong>.</p>
<p>Structure<br />
<strong>Style:</strong> Inner Bevel<br />
<strong>Technique:</strong> Smooth<br />

<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-2018" title="ice-text-9-3" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/ice-text-9-3.jpg" alt="ice-text-9-3" width="640" height="475" /></p>
<p><strong>Important:</strong> Set Fill to 0%</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-2019" title="ice-text-9-4" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/ice-text-9-4.jpg" alt="ice-text-9-4" width="596" height="447" /></p>

<p>Here is a quick tutorial to show you how to use the Crack Brushes Set to create a stone like effect with cracks on a face using simple blending techniques.<br />
<span id="more-1882"></span></p>
<h3><strong>Original Photo</strong></h3>
<h3><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1885" title="Cracked Face 2" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/cracked-face-original.jpg" alt="Cracked Face 2" width="596" height="394" /></h3>
<p>Before we begin the tutorial download and install the <strong><a href="http://photoshopland.com/downloads/photoshop-brushes/cracks-brushes-set/">Cracked Brushes Set</a>.</strong></p>
<h3>Step 1</h3>
<p>If your image is coloured go to <strong>Image &gt; Adjustments &gt; Desaturate,</strong> then <strong>Images</strong> &gt; <strong>Adjustments</strong> &gt; <strong>Exposure</strong> and mirror the settings below:</p>
<p><strong>Exposure:</strong> +0.38<br />
<strong>Offset:</strong> -0.0724<br />
<strong>Gamma Correction:</strong> 0.72</p>
<p><strong>NOTE:</strong> Using the settings won&#8217;t always give you the exact same results, so you may have to make some slight adjustments to your image to make it look similar.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1887" title="Cracked Face 3" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/cracked-face-0-1.jpg" alt="Cracked Face 3" width="483" height="600" /></p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1888" title="Cracked Face 4" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/cracked-face-0-2.jpg" alt="Cracked Face 4" width="483" height="600" /></p>
<h3>Step 2</h3>
<p>Add some <strong>Inner Shadow</strong> to the face. Mirror the following settings:</p>
<p><strong>Inner Shadow</strong></p>
<p><strong>Blend Mode:</strong> Multiply<br />
<strong>Opacity:</strong> 56%<br />
<strong>Angle: </strong>-70°<br />
<strong>Distance:</strong> 35px<br />
<strong>Choke:</strong> 0%<br />
<strong>Size:</strong> 43px</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1889" title="Cracked Face 5" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/cracked-face-0-3.jpg" alt="Cracked Face 5" width="483" height="auto" /></p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1890" title="Cracked Face 6" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/cracked-face-0-4.jpg" alt="Cracked Face 6" width="483" height="600" /></p>
<h3>Step 3</h3>
<p>Create a <strong>New Layer</strong>, go to <strong>Brushes</strong> and start painting Cracks to the areas of the face.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1891" title="Cracked Face 7" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/cracked-face-1.jpg" alt="Cracked Face 7" width="483" height="598" /></p>
<p>On the same Layer mirror the following settings:</p>
<p><strong>Bevel and Emboss</strong></p>
<p><strong>Stucture</strong><br />
<strong>Style:</strong> Inner Bevel<br />
<strong>Technique:</strong> Smooth<br />
<strong>Depth: </strong>100%<br />
<strong>Direction:</strong> Up<br />
<strong>Size:</strong> 5px<br />
<strong>Soften:</strong> 0px</p>
<p><strong>Shading</strong><br />
<strong>Angle: </strong>-45°<br />
<strong>Altitude:</strong> 30°<br />
<strong> Shadow Mode Colour:</strong> #595758</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1892" title="Cracked Face 8" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/cracked-face-1-1.jpg" alt="Cracked Face 8" width="483" height="auto" /></p>
<p>In your Layers Pallet change the <strong>Blending Option</strong> of the layer to <strong>Overlay</strong>. These settings should now have dug and blended the cracks into the skin.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1894" title="Cracked Face 9" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/cracked-face-1-2.jpg" alt="Cracked Face 9" width="483" height="600" /></p>
<h3>Step 4</h3>
<p>If you have a face in the same Layer cut it out using the <strong>Magnetic Lasso Tool</strong>, <strong>Duplicate</strong> it and add a <strong>Pattern Overlay</strong> using the <strong>Carpet</strong> pattern which can be found under the <strong>Pattern 2</strong> category.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1896" title="Cracked Face 10" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/cracked-face-3-1.jpg" alt="Cracked Face 10" width="483" height="auto" /></p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1897" title="Cracked Face 11" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/cracked-face-3.jpg" alt="Cracked Face 11" width="483" height="600" /></p>
<h3>Step 5</h3>
<p>Now for the final step <strong>Merge</strong> the Pattern Layer with a <strong>New Layer</strong> and set the <strong>Blend Mode</strong> to <strong>Overlay</strong><strong>. </strong></p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1898" title="Cracked Face 12" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/cracked-face-3-2.jpg" alt="Cracked Face 12" width="483" height="600" /></p>
<h3>Final Result</h3>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1900" title="Cracked Face 14" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/cracked-face-3-3.jpg" alt="Cracked Face 14" width="483" height="600" /></p>

<p>This tutorial will show you how to remove pimples, acne, lumps etc. in Photoshop using the Spot Healing Brush Tool, Healing Brush Tool and Patch Tool.</p>
<h3><span id="more-1922"></span>Original Photo</h3>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1924" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/remove-original.jpg" alt="Remove Pimples 2" width="596" height="394" /></p>
<h3>Step 1</h3>
<p>Select the <strong>Spot Healing Brush</strong>.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1925" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/remove-pimples-1.jpg" alt="Remove Pimples 3" width="483" height="321" /></p>
<h3>Step 2</h3>
<p>Re-size the <strong>Brush</strong> size enough to cover the area of a pimple, center it and <strong>Click</strong> to remove. What the <strong>Spot Healing Brush</strong> does is automatically replace the damaged areas with another area around it. This could sometimes be a problem seeing as it automatically decides for you what to replace it with.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1926" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/remove-pimples-2.jpg" alt="Remove Pimples 4" width="483" height="321" /></p>
<p>The pimple should automatically replaced after a <strong>Click</strong> of the mouse button.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1927" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/remove-pimples-3.jpg" alt="Remove Pimples 5" width="483" height="321" /></p>
<p>Continue to use the <strong>Spot Healing Brush Tool</strong> to remove another.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1930" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/remove-pimples-4.jpg" alt="Remove Pimples 6" width="483" height="321" /></p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1932" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/remove-pimples-5.jpg" alt="Remove Pimples 6" width="483" height="321" /></p>
<h3>Step 3</h3>
<p>Let&#8217;s now try removing some pimples using the <strong>Healing Brush Tool.</strong> Switch to the <strong>Healing Brush Tool</strong>, which is located just under the <strong>Spot Healing Brush Tool</strong>.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1934" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/remove-pimples-6.jpg" alt="Remove Pimples 8" width="483" height="321" /></p>
<h3>Step 4</h3>
<p>After you have select the <strong>Healing Brush Tool</strong> hold down <strong>ALT </strong>(or<strong> Command</strong> if using a Mac) and <strong>Click</strong> to sample a cleaner area of skin that is closest to the pimple, lump etc.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1935" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/remove-pimples-7.jpg" alt="Remove Pimples 9" width="483" height="321" /></p>
<h3>Step 5</h3>
<p>Now as we did before with the Spot Healing Brush Tool, re-size the <strong>Brush</strong> size enough to cover the area of the pimple, center it and <strong>Click.</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/remove-pimples-8.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1937" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/remove-pimples-8.jpg" alt="Remove Pimples 10" width="483" height="321" /></a></p>
<p>The pimple should be removed or replaced with your sample area.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1938" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/remove-pimples-9.jpg" alt="Remove Pimples 11" width="483" height="321" /></p>
<p>Continue using the <strong>Healing Brush Tool</strong> on another spot so you can see how the tool works. We&#8217;re sampling and simply replacing it with the sample.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1939" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/remove-pimples-10.jpg" alt="Remove Pimples 12" width="483" height="321" /></p>
<p>Center the Brush and <strong>Click</strong>.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1940" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/remove-pimples-11.jpg" alt="Remove Pimples 13" width="483" height="321" /></p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1942" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/remove-pimples-12.jpg" alt="Remove Pimples 14" width="483" height="321" /></p>
<h3>Step 6</h3>
<p>To finish off the rest of the pimples let&#8217;s switch over to the <strong>Patch Tool </strong>and speed up the process. The <strong>Patch Tool</strong> is the third one down and can be found right under the <strong>Healing Brush Tool</strong>.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1941" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/remove-pimples-14.jpg" alt="Remove Pimples 15" width="483" height="321" /></p>
<h3>Step 7</h3>
<p>Using the <strong>Patch Tool</strong> circle around the damaged area or pimple.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1944" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/remove-pimples-15.jpg" alt="Remove Pimples 16" width="483" height="321" /></p>
<p>Once circled, the area will then be selected. Hover the <strong>Patch Tool</strong> on the selected line, <strong>Click</strong> and hold the mouse button down.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1945" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/remove-pimples-16.jpg" alt="Remove Pimples 17" width="483" height="321" /></p>
<p>Now simply drag it out and onto a cleaner area of your choice, this is another way of sampling an area.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1947" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/remove-pimples-17.jpg" alt="Remove Pimples 18" width="483" height="321" /></p>
<p>The pimple should be removed and replaced as soon as you let go of the mouse button.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1946" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/remove-pimples-18.jpg" alt="Remove Pimples 19" width="483" height="321" /></p>
<h3>Step 8</h3>
<p>Let&#8217;s have one last look this time with arrows in the example so you guys can get a better idea. First you use the <strong>Patch Tool</strong> to circle around a pimple area. Staying on the selected line after you let go of the mouse button you <strong>Click</strong> and hold down the mouse button again and drag it out.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1949" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/remove-pimples-20.jpg" alt="Remove Pimples 21" width="483" height="321" /></p>
<p>Keep dragging it out.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1950" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/remove-pimples-21.jpg" alt="Remove Pimples 22" width="483" height="321" /></p>
<p>Once you have found an area to replace it with simply let go.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1956" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/remove-pimples-22.jpg" alt="Remove Pimples 23" width="483" height="321" /></p>
<p>Do the same to the rest of the areas using the <strong>Patch Tool, </strong>should take less than seconds to have this done with these tools<strong>.</strong></p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1951" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/remove-pimples-23.jpg" alt="Remove Pimples 24" width="483" height="321" /></p>
<h3>Final Result</h3>
<p>So there you have it, another way to fix up skin problems quick fast.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1954" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/remove-pimples-251.jpg" alt="Remove Pimples 25" width="483" height="321" /></p>

<p>In this tutorial you will learn how to create an iPhone Poster/wallpaper using blending techniques and basic shapes in Photoshop.</p>
<h3><span id="more-1446"></span>Step 1</h3>
<p>Create a new document in Photoshop <strong>800 x 600 px</strong>, add a <strong>New Layer</strong> and fill the background entirely with #<strong>4b0084</strong>.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1791" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/vector-wallpaper-1.jpg" alt="iPhone Poster 1" width="483" height="324" /></p>
<h3>Step 2</h3>
<p>Go to <strong>Shapes &gt; </strong>select the <strong>Bulls Eye</strong> shape. Set the forecolour to <strong>#bdf8dc </strong>and place it somewhere in the center of the canvas (as shown in the example below).</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1792" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/vector-wallpaper-2.jpg" alt="iPhone Poster 2" width="483" height="324" /></p>
<h3>Step 3</h3>
<p>Go to <strong>Brushes</strong> &gt; <strong>Thick Heavey Brushes</strong> &gt; and select the <strong>Rough Flat Bristle</strong>. In a <strong>New Layer</strong> above the Bulls Eye Layer use this brush to print some bristle on top of it. Make sure your brush colour is purple, if not sample the background colour using the Eye Dropper or enter in <strong>#4b0084</strong>.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1794" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/vector-wallpaper-3.jpg" alt="iPhone Poster 3" width="483" height="324" /></p>
<h3>Step 4</h3>
<p>Add another <strong>Bulls Eye</strong> shape in the top left hand corner and change the colour to <strong>#f5d4e5</strong>. Make a New Layer under this one and use the <strong>Elliptical Marquee Tool</strong> and use the Paint Bucket to fill behind the Bull Eye with <strong>#ae7b9a</strong> just enough so the transparent areas in the Bulls Eye&#8217;s covered. And let&#8217;s rename the layer to <strong>Pink Bulls Eye</strong> so you can easily locate it later on.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1795" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/vector-wallpaper-4.jpg" alt="iPhone Poster 4" width="483" height="324" /></p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1796" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/vector-wallpaper-5.jpg" alt="iPhone Poster 5" width="483" height="324" /></p>
<h3>Step 5</h3>
<p><strong>Duplicate </strong>the Pink Bulls Eye three times, go to <strong>Edit</strong> &gt; <strong>Free Transform</strong> and while <strong>hold Shift</strong> on your keyboard (to adjust size equally) and make it smaller. Then scatter them across the canvas, the screenshots below will give you a better idea of how things should be looking.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1798" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/vector-wallpaper-6.jpg" alt="iPhone Poster 6" width="483" height="324" /></p>
<h3>Step 6</h3>
<p>Okay, let&#8217;s try and speed up the process a bit shall we? instead of repeating the steps we&#8217;re going to <strong>Duplicate</strong> the <strong>Pink Bulls Eye</strong> two more times. <strong>Merge</strong> these duplicated layers and call it <strong>Baby Blue Bulls Eyes</strong>, then go to <strong>Image</strong> &gt; <strong>Adjustments</strong> &gt; <strong>Hue/Saturation</strong> and mirror the following settings:</p>
<p><strong>Hue:</strong> +180<br />
<strong>Saturation:</strong> 0<br />
<strong>Lightness:</strong> 0</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1800" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/vector-wallpaper-8.jpg" alt="iPhone Poster 7" width="483" height="324" /></p>
<p>Go to <strong>Edit</strong> &gt; <strong>Free Transform</strong> and while <strong>hold Shift</strong> on your keyboard make it a tad bit smaller. Then drag it slightly on top of any of the small Pink Bulls Eyes. And while your at it you can also throw in a few more circular shapes. In the examples below I added a <strong>Circle Frame</strong> shape with the forcolour of <strong>#60f2b4</strong> and three more <strong>Circles</strong> coloured <strong>#9b88e1</strong> with a stroke of <strong>#630042</strong>. (Use the examples below to guide you in the right direction)</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1801" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/vector-wallpaper-9.jpg" alt="iPhone Poster 8" width="483" height="324" /></p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1802" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/vector-wallpaper-13.jpg" alt="iPhone Poster 9" width="483" height="324" /></p>
<h3>Step 7</h3>
<p>Select the <strong>Custom Shape Tool</strong> and pick <strong>Bird 2</strong> for the shape. What we&#8217;re going to do is create three birds, for the first bird set the forecolour to <strong>#fe00d2</strong>, for the second <strong>#d400ea</strong> and the third <strong>#9701a0</strong>. Use the Transform Tool to resize and distort the shape of the second bird. For the third bird go to <strong>Edit</strong> &gt; <strong>Transform</strong> &gt; <strong>Flip Horizontal</strong> and then distort and resize it to match the examples given below.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1803" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/vector-wallpaper-14.jpg" alt="iPhone Poster 10" width="483" height="324" /></p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1804" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/vector-wallpaper-16.jpg" alt="iPhone Poster 11" width="483" height="324" /></p>
<h3>Step 8</h3>
<p>Now <strong>Duplicate</strong> all the layers we have created thus far and <strong>Merge</strong> them together. Rename this layer to <strong>Embossed</strong> and then go to <strong>Filter</strong> &gt; <strong>Stylize</strong> &gt; <strong>Emboss</strong> and mirror the following settings:</p>
<p><strong>Angle:</strong> 135º<br />
<strong>Height:</strong> 1px<br />
<strong>Amount:</strong> 200%</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1805" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/vector-wallpaper-17.jpg" alt="iPhone Poster 12" width="483" height="324" /></p>
<p>Set the <strong>Blend Mode</strong> for the Embossed Layer to <strong>Exclusion</strong> with the <strong>Opacity</strong> at approximately <strong>70%</strong>.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1806" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/vector-wallpaper-18.jpg" alt="iPhone Poster 13" width="483" height="324" /></p>
<h3>Step 9</h3>
<p>In the Layers Panel go to <strong>Create new fill or adjustment layer</strong> &gt; <strong>Brightness/Contrast.</strong> Set the <strong>Brightness</strong> level to <strong>+30</strong> and <strong>Contrast</strong> to <strong>+100</strong>.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1807" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/vector-wallpaper-19.jpg" alt="iPhone Poster 14" width="483" height="324" /></p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1808" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/vector-wallpaper-20.jpg" alt="iPhone Poster 15" width="483" height="324" /></p>
<h3>Step 10</h3>
<p>Now what we need to do is <strong>Flatten</strong> all layers. Then create a <strong>New Layer</strong> and fill it entirely in <strong>Grey</strong> (or <strong>#e9e9e9</strong> which is what I used). Duplicate the background layer and move it up so it sits above the Grey Background. On the Duplicit Background layer use the <strong>Round Rectangular Tool</strong> with the <strong>Radius</strong> at around <strong>20px</strong> to create an iPhone-like shape, <strong>Right Click</strong> &gt; <strong>Make Selection</strong>, cut out the shape and delete whats left of the Duplicit layer.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1809" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/vector-wallpaper-21.jpg" alt="iPhone Poster 16" width="483" height="324" /></p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1810" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/vector-wallpaper-22.jpg" alt="iPhone Poster 17" width="483" height="324" /></p>
<p>You should be left with an iphone-like shape which will be our iPhone case and a grey background.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1811" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/vector-wallpaper-23.jpg" alt="iPhone Poster 18" width="483" height="324" /></p>
<h3>Step 11</h3>
<p>Go into the <strong>Blending Options</strong> for the <strong>iPhone </strong>shape and add <strong>Bevel and Emboss</strong> with the following settings:</p>
<p><strong>Structure<br />
Style:</strong> Inner Bevel<br />
<strong>Technique:</strong> Smooth<br />
<strong>Depth:</strong> 200%<br />
<strong>Direction:</strong> Up<br />
<strong>Size:</strong> 10px<br />
<strong>Soften:</strong> 15px</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1813" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/vector-wallpaper-23-2.jpg" alt="iPhone Poster 19" width="483" height="337" /></p>
<p>And on the <strong>Grey background layer</strong> change the Blend Mode to <strong>Screen</strong>.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1814" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/vector-wallpaper-26.jpg" alt="iPhone Poster 20" width="483" height="324" /></p>
<h3>Step 12</h3>
<p>Use the <strong>Circle </strong>shape to draw a black circle where the iPhone camera hole should be (think of this as an iPhone case). Then add another <strong>White</strong> circle shape within the black circle and one more <strong>Black</strong> circle on top of the <strong>White </strong>(see the screenshot below). Then use the <strong>Polygonal Lasso Tool </strong>to cut gaps on the top and side of the iPhone case and make a <strong>Black Rectangle Shape</strong> under the iPhone case layer to make it look like there really is an iPhone behind it. <strong>Transform</strong> it down just a tad bit to make it look like an iPhone is sitting inside the case.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1817" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/vector-wallpaper-37.jpg" alt="iPhone Poster 21" width="483" height="324" /></p>
<h3>Step 13</h3>
<p>Use the <strong>Soft Mechanical Brush</strong> to print a <strong>#fee300</strong> coloured spot on the top left half of the canvas and select <strong>Overlay</strong> as your Blend Mode. See example below.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1818" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/vector-wallpaper-38.jpg" alt="iPhone Poster 22" width="483" height="324" /></p>

<strong>Opacity:</strong> 47%<br />
<strong>Angle:</strong> 0° (Switch off Global Light)<br />
<strong>Distance:</strong> 5px<br />
<strong>Choke:</strong> 0%<br />
<strong>Size:</strong> 5px</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1832" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/vector-wallpaper-44.jpg" alt="iPhone Poster 31" width="483" height="auto" /></p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1833" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/vector-wallpaper-43-2.jpg" alt="iPhone Poster 32" width="483" height="324" /></p>
<h3>Step 18</h3>
<p>Use the <strong>Circle</strong> shape and make a circle with <strong>#eaeaea</strong> as the foreground colour. Add an Inside <strong>Stroke</strong> of <strong>3px</strong> with <strong>#d3d3d3</strong> for the colour. Then add the following <strong>Bevel and Emboss</strong> settings:</p>
<div><strong>Structure</strong></div>
<div><strong>Style:</strong> Inner Bevel</div>
<div><strong>Technique:</strong> Smooth</div>
<div><strong>Depth:</strong> 1%</div>
<div><strong>Direction:</strong> Up</div>
<div><strong>Size:</strong> 0px</div>

<strong> Shadow Mode: </strong>Multiple, Colour #464646, Opacity 75%</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1839" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/vector-wallpaper-44-31.jpg" alt="iPhone Poster 35" width="483" height="auto" /></p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1840" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/vector-wallpaper-44-4.jpg" alt="iPhone Poster 36" width="483" height="auto" /></p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1841" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/vector-wallpaper-44-5.jpg" alt="iPhone Poster 37" width="483" height="324" /></p>
<h3>Step 19</h3>
<p>This final step is optional and I would suggest going back to add light and shading (using a transparent gradient fading in from <strong>White</strong>) where you believe is necessary. Also another tip I would like to leave you guys with is to add <strong>Curves</strong> to quickly balance the tone and contrast.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1842" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/vector-wallpaper-45.jpg" alt="iPhone Poster 38" width="483" height="324" /></p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1843" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/vector-wallpaper-45-2.jpg" alt="iPhone Poster 39" width="483" height="324" /></p>
<h3>Final Result</h3>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1844" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/vector-wallpaper-46.jpg" alt="iPhone Poster 40" width="483" height="324" /></p>

<p>This tutorial will show you how to add water into a wine glass using filter tricks and transformation tools.</p>
<p><span id="more-1339"></span></p>
<h3>Step 1</h3>
<p>Have your glass image ready? Let&#8217;s start with some fake water tricks. Draw a square to cover the glass using either the <strong>Rectangular Marquee Tool</strong> Fill method or the <strong>Rectangular Shape Tool</strong>. Once you have created a square in a new layer, <strong>lock the transparent</strong> pixels of the layer.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1342" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/full-glass-1.jpg" alt="Full Glass of Ocean Wine Photoshop Tutorial 1" width="483" height="516" /></p>
<h3>Step 2</h3>
<p>Go to <strong>Filter</strong> &gt; <strong>Render</strong> &gt; <strong>Fibers</strong> and leave it as default or simply <strong>Randomize</strong> it. It doesn&#8217;t really matter how strong it is but if you want to follow what I have done in this example then just set the <strong>Variance</strong> to <strong>16.0</strong> and <strong>Strength</strong> to <strong>4.0</strong>.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1343" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/full-glass-2.jpg" alt="Full Glass of Ocean Wine Photoshop Tutorial 2" width="483" height="516" /></p>
<h3>Step 3</h3>
<div>Go to <strong>Filter</strong> &gt; <strong>Render </strong>&gt; <strong>Clouds</strong>. Now here is the reason why we had to <strong>lock the transparent pixels</strong> in Step 1 for this layer, it was to keep the transparent parts in this layer from rendering. In this case we have locked the transparency so only the object we created will be rendered, not the entire canvas.</div>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1344" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/full-glass-3.jpg" alt="Full Glass of Ocean Wine Photoshop Tutorial 3" width="483" height="516" /></p>
<h4>Step 4</h4>
<p>Go to <strong>Filter</strong> &gt; <strong>Blur</strong> &gt; <strong>Radial Blur</strong> and set the <strong>Amount</strong> to <strong>20</strong>.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1345" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/full-glass-4.jpg" alt="Full Glass of Ocean Wine Photoshop Tutorial 4" width="483" height="516" /></p>
<h3>Step 5</h3>
<p>Go to <strong>Filter</strong> &gt; <strong>Sketch</strong> &gt; <strong>Chrome</strong> and set the <strong>Detail</strong> to <strong>4</strong> and <strong>Smoothness</strong> to <strong>2</strong>.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1346" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/full-glass-5.jpg" alt="Full Glass of Ocean Wine Photoshop Tutorial 5" width="483" height="516" /></p>
<h3>Step 6</h3>
<p>Go to <strong>Image</strong> &gt; <strong>Adjustments</strong> &gt; <strong>Colour Balance</strong> and mirror the settings below:</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1347" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/full-glass-6.jpg" alt="Full Glass of Ocean Wine Photoshop Tutorial 6" width="483" height="516" /></p>
<h3>Step 7</h3>
<p>To create the top part of the water in the glass we need to transform the rectangular shape and at the same time keep it within the glass. To do this go to <strong>Edit</strong> &gt; <strong>Transform</strong> &gt; <strong>Distort</strong> and use this tool to tranform it to the middle of the glass like in the example below.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1348" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/full-glass-7.jpg" alt="Full Glass of Ocean Wine Photoshop Tutorial 7" width="483" height="516" /></p>
<h3>Step 8</h3>
<p>Go to <strong>Edit</strong> &gt; <strong>Transform</strong> &gt; <strong>Warp</strong> and drag the anchor points in the center so it bulges outwards and the two sides inwards.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1399" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/full-glass-8.jpg" alt="Full Glass of Ocean Wine Photoshop Tutorial 8" width="483" height="516" /></p>
<h3>Step 9</h3>
<p>Use the <strong>Eraser Tool</strong> with a <strong>Soft Mechanical Brush</strong> to remove all the jagged edges.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1400" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/full-glass-9.jpg" alt="Full Glass of Ocean Wine Photoshop Tutorial 9" width="483" height="516" /></p>
<h3>Step 10</h3>
<p>Now <strong>Duplicate</strong> the layer and go to <strong>Edit</strong> &gt; <strong>Transform</strong> &gt; <strong>Flip Vertical</strong> and drag in down an inch.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1401" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/full-glass-10.jpg" alt="Full Glass of Ocean Wine Photoshop Tutorial 10" width="483" height="516" /></p>
<h3>Step 11</h3>
<p>Use the <strong>Warp</strong> again and swerve the duplicated layer inwards and towards the side, creating a more wavy look.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1404" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/full-glass-111.jpg" alt="Full Glass of Ocean Wine Photoshop Tutorial 11" width="483" height="516" /></p>
<p><img src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/full-glass-12.jpg" alt="Full Glass of Ocean Wine Photoshop Tutorial 12" width="483" height="516" /></p>
<h3>Step 12</h3>
<p>Use the <strong>Magnetic Marquee Tool</strong> to select around the bottom half of the glass to the top of the water we created. Fill it using the <strong>Paint Bucket Tool</strong> with the colour #<strong>73a3b8</strong>.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1406" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/full-glass-13.jpg" alt="Full Glass of Ocean Wine Photoshop Tutorial 13" width="483" height="516" /></p>
<h3>Step 13</h3>
<p>Go to <strong>Filter</strong> &gt; <strong>Render</strong> &gt; <strong>Fibers</strong> and set the <strong>Variance</strong> to <strong>15.0</strong>, <strong>Strength</strong> to <strong>3.0</strong> or simply <strong>Randomize</strong>. Again, the settings aren&#8217;t a major issue and either way you will end up with a similar end result.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1407" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/full-glass-14.jpg" alt="Full Glass of Ocean Wine Photoshop Tutorial 14" width="483" height="516" /></p>
<h3>Step 14</h3>
<p>Go to <strong>Filter</strong> &gt; <strong>Blur</strong> &gt; <strong>Radial Blur</strong> and set the <strong>Amount</strong> to <strong>8</strong>.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1408" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/full-glass-15.jpg" alt="Full Glass of Ocean Wine Photoshop Tutorial 15" width="483" height="516" /></p>
<h3>Step 15</h3>
<p>Go to <strong>Filter</strong> &gt; <strong>Sketch</strong> &gt; <strong>Chrome</strong>, set the <strong>Detail </strong>to <strong>10</strong> and <strong>Smoothness</strong> to <strong>4</strong>. Then go to <strong>Images</strong> &gt; <strong>Adjustments</strong> &gt; <strong>Colour Balance</strong> and mirror the following settings:</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1409" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/full-glass-16.jpg" alt="Full Glass of Ocean Wine Photoshop Tutorial 16" width="483" height="516" /></p>
<h3>Step 16</h3>
<p>Now set the <strong>Blend Mode</strong> to <strong>Muliply</strong> and again, use the <strong>Eraser Tool</strong> mixed with a <strong>Soft Mechanical Brush</strong> to get rid of the jagged edges.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1410" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/full-glass-17.jpg" alt="Full Glass of Ocean Wine Photoshop Tutorial 17" width="483" height="516" /></p>
<h3>Step 17</h3>
<p>Go to <strong>Edit</strong> &gt; <strong>Transform</strong> &gt; <strong>Warp</strong> and curve one or two anchors down to make it look as though it is closer towards you, creating a distance between the top water and glass.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1411" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/full-glass-19.jpg" alt="Full Glass of Ocean Wine Photoshop Tutorial 18" width="483" height="516" /></p>
<p><img src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/full-glass-20.jpg" alt="Full Glass of Ocean Wine Photoshop Tutorial 19" width="483" height="516" /></p>
<h3>Step 18</h3>
<p>Use the <strong>Eraser Tool</strong> mixed with a <strong>Soft Mechanical Brush</strong> to erase and blend the top and bottom water together.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1413" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/full-glass-21.jpg" alt="Full Glass of Ocean Wine Photoshop Tutorial 20" width="483" height="516" /></p>
<h3>Step 19</h3>
<p>Now we&#8217;ll need to add a shadow inside the water. Go to <strong>Blending Options</strong> and add an <strong>Inner Shadow</strong> on the bottom water layer, mirror the following settings:</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1414" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/full-glass-22.jpg" alt="Full Glass of Ocean Wine Photoshop Tutorial 21" width="483" height="347" /></p>
<h3>Final Result</h3>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1415" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/full-glass-23.jpg" alt="Full Glass of Ocean Wine Photoshop Tutorial 22" width="483" height="516" /></p>

<p>This tutorial will help you learn how to speed up skin retouching and polish photos in Photoshop using basic techniques.</p>
<h3><span id="more-1718"></span>Original Photo</h3>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1720" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/retouch-original.jpg" alt="Original Photo" width="596" height="394" /></p>
<h3>Step 1</h3>
<p>Duplicate the background image and rename it to<strong> Layer 1</strong>.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1721" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/retouch-1.jpg" alt="Image 1" width="483" height="507" /></p>
<h3>Step 2</h3>
<p>Go to <strong>Filter</strong> &gt; <strong>Other</strong> &gt; <strong>High Pass</strong> and set the <strong>Radius</strong> to around <strong>4.5 pixels</strong>.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1722" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/retouch-2.jpg" alt="Image 2" width="483" height="637" /></p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1723" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/retouch-2-1.jpg" alt="Image 3" width="483" height="637" /></p>
<h3>Step 3</h3>
<p>Change the <strong>Blending Options</strong> for <strong>Layer 1</strong> from Normal to <strong>Soft Light</strong> and uncheck the eye to make Layer 1 invisible for the next step.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1724" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/retouch-3.jpg" alt="Image 4" width="483" height="629" /></p>
<h3>Step 4</h3>
<p>Duplicate the background image again and rename it to <strong>Layer 2</strong>. We&#8217;re creating an extra layer with an automatic smoothening underneath the skin, so pop it under <strong>Layer 1</strong> and go to <strong>Image</strong> &gt; <strong>Adjustments</strong> &gt; <strong>Invert</strong>. Next go to <strong>Filter</strong> &gt; <strong>Other</strong> &gt; <strong>High Pass, </strong>set it to <strong>4.5 pixels</strong> and for this layer change the blending options to <strong>Overlay</strong>. After doing this you can make <strong>Layer 1</strong> visible again.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1751" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/retouch-3-1.jpg" alt="Invert" width="483" height="457" /></p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1725" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/retouch-4.jpg" alt="Image 5" width="204" height="260" /></p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1726" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/retouch-4-1.jpg" alt="Image 6" width="483" height="629" /></p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1727" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/retouch-4-2.jpg" alt="Image 7" width="483" height="629" /></p>
<h3>Step 5</h3>
<p>As you&#8217;ll see the image will be just slightly blurred and smoothen out but not the edges. On <strong>Layer 1</strong> continue retouching using the <strong>Elliptical Marquee Tool.</strong> Circle the areas inside the face that need quick fixing, go to <strong>Filter</strong> &gt; <strong>Noise</strong> &gt; <strong>Median</strong> and max the pixels out to <strong>100 pixels</strong>. To make the process faster, repeat process in all areas using <strong>Ctrl-F</strong> (<strong>Command F</strong> on the Mac). This is a shortcut to apply the last filter which just makes life so much easier for you. I would suggest applying the <strong>Median</strong> effect as much as you can before you move on to the next step.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1729" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/retouch-5.jpg" alt="Image 8" width="483" height="629" /></p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1730" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/retouch-5-1.jpg" alt="Image 9" width="483" height="629" /></p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1731" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/retouch-5-2.jpg" alt="Image 10" width="482" height="428" /></p>
<h3>Step 6</h3>
<p><strong>Flatten Image</strong> and use the<strong> Clone Stamp Tool</strong> mixed with a <strong>Soft Brush</strong> with the <strong>Flow</strong> set to around <strong>30%</strong> to manually select areas next to one another, blend it in as much as you can using this tool to make further improvements to the skin. What we&#8217;re doing here is sampling areas of the face to even out the skin and with this technique you will also be getting rid of the shiny stuff.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1732" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/retouch-6.jpg" alt="Image 12" width="482" height="428" /></p>
<p>If you find that it is getting too smooth for your liking then its really up to you to take a step back, use less Clone Stamping, drop down it&#8217;s <strong>Opacity</strong> or re-size the brush correctly. This is just a quick demonstration to give you guys an idea of how to quickly retouch photos, with more time, effort and of course accuracy you will get a much better result.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1733" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/retouch-6-1.jpg" alt="Image 13" width="483" height="635" /></p>
<h3>Step 7</h3>
<p>This step here is to quickly balance out the whole lot, to do that we need that extra bit of shadow to be added to the overall image. Go to <strong>Image</strong> &gt; <strong>Adjustments</strong> &gt; <strong>Shadow/Highlight</strong>, then set the amount of <strong>Shadow</strong> to <strong>20%</strong> and the <strong>Highlight</strong> can be left on <strong>0</strong>.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1734" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/retouch-7.jpg" alt="Image 14" width="483" height="721" /></p>
<h3>Final Result</h3>
<p>This should have helped quickly smooth the skin, even out the tone of the entire face and balance lighting. To remove just pimples check out the <strong><a href="http://photoshopland.com/tutorials/photo-retouching/remove-pimples-using-the-healing-brushes-and-patch-tool/">Remove Pimples Using the Healing Brushes and Patch Tool</a></strong> tutorial.</p>

<p>This tutorial will show you how to create a 3D Firecracker in Photoshop. You&#8217;ll be making your own stock image using just basic brushes and blending techniques.</p>
<p><span id="more-1309"></span></p>
<h3>Step 1</h3>
<p>Create a new document width:<strong>800</strong> x height:<strong>800 </strong>pixels, <strong>72dpi</strong> and <strong>RGB </strong>color. First step is to simply draw the top part of the Firecracker, do this using the <strong>Elliptical Marquee Tool</strong> to create an oval shape with a <strong>Red</strong> fill (<strong>#FC0101</strong>).</p>
<div><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1312" title="Step 1" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/3d-firework-1.jpg" alt="Step 1" width="483" height="516" /></div>
<h3>Step 2</h3>
<p>Now what we&#8217;re going to do is make it pop and give it some shading. Go into the Blending Options add <strong>Bevel and Emboss</strong> and <strong>Satin</strong>, mirror the settings below in the screen shots:</p>
<div><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1313" title="Step 2" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/3d-firework-1-1.jpg" alt="Step 2" width="483" height="333" /></div>
<div><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1314" title="Step 3" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/3d-firework-1-2.jpg" alt="Step 3" width="483" height="336" /></div>
<p>Change the<strong> Satin</strong> Contour Preset to <strong>Cone</strong>.</p>
<div><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1315" title="Step 4" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/3d-firework-1-3.jpg" alt="Step 4" width="300" height="324" /></div>
<h3>Step 3</h3>
<p>Now its time to make the body of the Firecracker. Create a New Layer and use the <strong>Rectangular Marquee Tool</strong> to select and fill in the shape of the body with<strong> Red</strong> (<strong>#FC0101</strong>).</p>
<div><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1316" title="Step 5" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/3d-firework-2-1-2.jpg" alt="Step 5" width="483" height="516" /></div>
<h3>Step 4</h3>
<p>Go to Blending Options and apply the <strong>Inner Shadow</strong> and<strong> Gradient Overlay</strong> effects to the body. The gradient will need 3 colour stops and with the angle set to <strong>Zero</strong> degrees, this makes the gradient run horizontally across. Look at the screenshots below and mirror the settings:</p>
<div><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1317" title="Step 6" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/3d-firework-2-1-3.jpg" alt="Step 6" width="483" height="336" /></div>
<div><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1318" title="Step 7" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/3d-firework-2-4.jpg" alt="Step 7" width="483" height="336" /></div>
<div><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1319" title="Step 8" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/3d-firework-2-3.jpg" alt="Step 8" width="483" height="192" /></div>
<h3>Step 5</h3>
<p>Create a New Layer and use the <strong>Pen Tool</strong> to create the string attached to the top of the Firecracker. Basically all you need to do here is drop two anchor points, curve it, <strong>Right click</strong> and add a <strong>Brush</strong> stroke.</p>
<div><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1320" title="Step 9" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/3d-firework-3.jpg" alt="Step 9" width="483" height="516" /></div>
<div><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1321" title="Step 10" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/3d-firework-3-1.jpg" alt="Step 10" width="483" height="516" /></div>
<h3>Step 6</h3>
<p>Now go into the Blending Options and add <strong>Bevel and Emboss</strong> with <strong>Texture</strong>. For the <strong>Pattern</strong> select <strong>Artistic Surfaces</strong> &gt; <strong>Dark Coarse Weave</strong>. And then add a <strong>Gradient Overlay</strong>.</p>
<div><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1322" title="Step 11" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/3d-firework-3-2.jpg" alt="Step 11" width="483" height="336" /></div>
<div><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1323" title="Step 12" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/3d-firework-3-3.jpg" alt="Step 12" width="483" height="336" /></div>
<p>Gradient contains two colour stops, <strong>#7E0000</strong> fading out to <strong>White</strong>.</p>
<div><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1324" title="Step 13" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/3d-firework-3-4.jpg" alt="Step 13" width="483" height="193" /></div>
<p>Use the<strong> Eraser Tool</strong> mixed with a <strong>Soft Mechanical Brush</strong> to softly scrub the bottom of the string until its blended in equally with the Firecrackers.</p>
<div><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1325" title="Step 14" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/3d-firework-4.jpg" alt="Step 14" width="483" height="516" /></div>
<h3>Step 7</h3>
<p>To create a sparks effect where the fuse is going to be lit go to <strong>Brush</strong> &gt; <strong>Thick Heavy Brushes</strong> and select the <strong>Rough Round Bristle</strong>. Set the Foreground Colour to <strong>Yellow</strong>.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1326" title="Step 15" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/3d-firework-5.jpg" alt="Step 15" width="483" height="516" /></p>
<p>Make about 2-3 splashes of it and then go into your Blending Options check both the <strong>Outer</strong> and <strong>Inner Glow</strong> options with the colour Yellow to add more detail to the sparks.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1327" title="Step 16" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/3d-firework-6.jpg" alt="Step 16" width="483" height="516" /></p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1328" title="Step 17" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/3d-firework-6-3.jpg" alt="Step 17" width="483" height="336" /></p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1329" title="Step 18" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/3d-firework-6-4.jpg" alt="Step 18" width="483" height="516" /></p>
<h3>Step 8</h3>
<p>Go back to the <strong>Thick Heavy Brushes</strong> and select the <strong>Rough Flat Bristle</strong> to create smaller sparks. Once you have done that go to <strong>Edit</strong> &gt; <strong>Transform</strong> &gt; <strong>Warp</strong> and warp the Sparks outwards.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1330" title="Step 19" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/3d-firework-7.jpg" alt="Step 19" width="483" height="516" /></p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1332" title="Step 20" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/3d-firework-8.jpg" alt="Step 20" width="483" height="516" /></p>
<h3>Step 9</h3>
<p>Make a New Layer and use the <strong>Soft Mechanical Brush</strong> to add a <strong>Red</strong> spot that covers the first half of the top of the Firecracker. Then Set the Blend Mode to <strong>Overlay</strong> with the <strong>Opacity</strong> at approximately <strong>70%</strong>.</p>
<div><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1333" title="Step 21" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/3d-firework-8-4.jpg" alt="Step 21" width="483" height="516" /></div>
<div><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1334" title="Step 22" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/3d-firework-8-5.jpg" alt="Step 22" width="483" height="516" /></div>
<h3>Step 10</h3>
<p>The final step is to even out the overall tone and add contrast. Go to <strong>Create new fill or adjustment layers</strong> &gt; <strong>Curves</strong> and set the Preset to <strong>Strong Contrast</strong>.</p>
<div><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1337" title="Step 23" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/3d-firework-9.jpg" alt="Step 23" width="483" height="516" /></div>
<h3>Final Result</h3>
<div><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1336" title="Step 24" src="http://photoshopland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/3d-firework-9-1.jpg" alt="Step 24" width="483" height="516" /></div>
