Syringa vulgaris (Lilac or Common Lilac). Common Lilac is a very common ornamental plant in gardens and parks, because of the attractive, sweet smell of its flowers.

Kniphofia uvaria is also known as Tritoma, Torch Lily or Red Hot Poker

Nigella damascena (Love-in-a-mist). It’s also sometimes called Devil-in-the-Bush.

Which of the above flowers do you really like most? Some of my friends were asking me how do I know the specific name of the flowers I captured. I told them that generally, in the garden or park, the flower or plant’s name has its own name tag, commonly in a form of Scientific Name. After that, I kept them in my mind and when I got home, I renamed the photo filename into its real name. And for other people to understand more what I’ve posted and shared, I looked the other name at wikipedia.

This is another beautiful kind of an ornamental tree. Magnolia has attractive foliage, gray bark, and fragrant, white flowers in early summer.

Grey heron is a large wonderful bird with slow and quiet flight. They usually eat fish and standing as still as a statue at water edge. If you’re interested with this kind of bird here is the Wikipedia link.

Clary Sage herb has an important benefit. It is used in aromatherapy or an excellent herb to promote natural healing. I have enclosed link from wikipedia as I thought that you might want to know all the details about clary sage.

For me, the daisy belongs to the simple flower, but beautiful and majestic. They are humble yet cheerfully attractive. Also widespread and common.

They have strong-smelling black roots, hairy stems, and basal leaves on long leafstalks. Its cone-shaped flowering heads are usually, but not always purple. This is called as Echinacea purpurea (Eastern purple coneflower or Purple coneflower).

Echinacea is commonly believed to stimulate the immune system!

Why not try to ride at one of London’s most recognizable attractions-British Airways London Eye, aka the Millennium Wheel? I ride here once at British Airway’s London Eye and all I can say is… really amazing!!!

Reaching a height of 135m (450 ft), the British Airways London Eye will become London’s fourth tallest structure. The wheel gives passengers a totally new perspective of some of the capital’s most famous landmarks and provides a bird’s-eye view usually afforded only by helicopter or aircraft. London architects David Marks and Julia Barfield conceived and designed the London Eye to celebrate the Millennium and beyond.

This foxglove flower looks very nice and lovely, but behind the elegant looking plant lays a real danger. Every part of the Foxglove plant is poisonous, so if you have inquisitive little kids or pets who are inclined to chew, this is not an appropriate plant for the garden. Even touching foxgloves can cause rashes and headaches.

The elegant umbrella-like flowers stand tall and look down at your other plants. Topped with a crown encircled with bright yellow bells veined in rich gold. Fascinating form and color.

This four-storey brick house is actually the smallest and most intimate of the royal palaces. It is made of red bricks and arranged with sides and ends alternating.

Along the coast is Sandy Mouth, an ideal family spot with lovely sands and plenty of rock pools.

Bude, Cornwall a seaside town situated on the Atlantic Heritage Coast. Bude is Cornwall’s most northern town and has been a popular seaside resort from Victorian times. In the 19th Century, the town was notorious for wreckers who plundered ship wrecked off the coast - over 80 vessels in the fifty year up to 1874. Dandelion have many important properties and uses. The reason why we shouldn’t neglect this beneficial weed. In fact, dandelion leaves contain abundant amounts of vitamins and minerals, especially Vitamins A, C and K, and are good sources of calcium, potassium and fair amounts of iron and manganese.

Dandelion flowers contain luteolin, an antioxidant, and have demonstrated antioxidant properties without cytotoxicity.

Dandelions, flowers, roots and leaves, have been used for centuries in traditional medicine & medicinal teas, most notably for liver detoxification, as a natural diuretic and for inflammation reduction.

A cherry blossom is the name for the flower of cherry trees known as Sakura in Japanese. In English, the word “sakura” is equivalent to the Japanese flowering cherry. It is Japan’s unofficial national flower and it has been celebrated for many centuries and holds a very prominent position in Japanese culture.

Its nice to see such brightly colored trees contrasts the green foliage which surrounds it. Gold, red, orange, and yellow leaves of oak, cherry, beech and maple trees are the nature’s symbol of fall!

Allium hollandicum ‘Purple Sensation’ flower is a nice addition to the landscape, not only for its color but also for its globular shape. It is a very impressive hybrid Flowering Onion. It produces a tuft of large, strap-shaped leaves, with a strong stem 3′ or so high holding a ball up to 6″ across of many small purple starry flowers over quite a long period. Allium Purple flowers, like other spring-flowering bulbs, purple alliums need to be planted in the fall.

Ensete ventricosum ‘Maurelii’ (Red banana, Abyssinian banana, Ethiopian banana)

This banana-like perennial has large paddle-shaped leaves, which range in color from deep brown to red-purple to pale green. The leaves are very fast growing, producing huge banana leaves which are a lovely green with red and a deep red midrib. Looks like it has been hand painted. Fruits are banana-like but dry and inedible. This plant needs lots of space and lots of attention. It also needs a protected site. It is a classic foliage plant that becomes a striking specimen in the landscape. A popular choice for tropical-inspired gardens.

Wow! This is another color of Dahlia flowers. I will try to look for the seeds of this kind so I can start planting it in our garden. Aren’t they lovely?

If you are planning on visiting the Isle of Wight, the Needles Park is a must for every family with kids. These photos were taken by my sister during her weekend holiday at Alum Bay, Isle of Wight. They ride the cable car or the spectacular chairlift down the cliffs going to the beach and spent a lot of sightseeing and it’s really a breathtaking experience!

For me, it was a bit scary and thought you could easily fallen out with the wind and I’m a bit envious because I haven’t experienced that kind of thrilling experience. That’s why, we decided to visit Tagaytay on Sunday to try riding at cable car and Zipline. I heard that they have cable cars at Picnic Grove or Tagaytay Zoo.

This nice presentation or statue of zebra in the park just expresses the visitors to protect them and the wildlife. A well balance life in earth will equally benefit us and our next generation.

Strawflower’s common names are Everlastings and Helichrysum. This straw-textured flower Australian plant naturalized in Spain having flowers of lemon yellow to deep gold; the frequent choice of those who love dried flowers. This flower doesn’t loss its form and color when dried. I’m planning to make a customize homemade potpourri, and I think this flower can be one of my ingredient. But not now, I’m still busy and we know that making a potpourri requires a little time but it lasts for few years.

Tropical and hardy water lilies offer many colors to beautify the pond or water garden. Varieties include white, pink, yellow, red, and even blue water lilies. As of now, I don’t have a photo of red and blue water lilies. But these white, pink and yellow water lilies I saw had drawn and catch my attention. I’m sure if you have friends with pond, they will tell you that the highlights of their pond are water lilies. They are adorable, right?

These vivid pinkish, fuchsia to reddish color Dahlias are another varieties of Dahlia. There are at least 36 species of dahlia. Dahlia hybrids are commonly grown as garden plants.

When yellow flowers are in bloom, this is the period of the greatest beauty of flower and whenever I see these yellow golden flowers, I feel the atmosphere of sunny days.

I love pink flowers! So, whenever I see this Dahlia flower, it really catches my attention and for me it steals the garden show. I’m a nature lover person and I must admit that flower really uplifts my spirit.
