The handset is a very nice device with a massive 4.3-inch screen. To get the device for free you need a £35 monthly plan.

The geeks over at Akihabara News have gone hands on with the Fujitsu F-04B mobile phone that can be taken apart to give a screen and separate keyboard. The thing is cool and looks like is should be some sort of Transformer.

Images of what is claimed to be the first Samsung Bada handset have tipped up. The device is an all black monolith with baked in hard buttons at the bottom for back, call answer and disconnect. The handset isn’t expected until closer to 2010.

The boxy Motorola Milestone is certainly not as sexy as the new Droid, but may be more to some users liking. The Milestone is set to hit the Telus network in Europe in early 2010.

Rumors are swirling that Samsung may be looking to drop Windows Mobile in favor of Android. Analysts have Samsung reducing Windows to 50% of their devices in 2010 and by 2012 only 20% of its handsets will use WinMo.

The recall covers chargers with model numbers AC-3E, AC-3U, and AC-4U. The chargers pose a shock hazard according to Nokia and were built by a third party.

We have been very impressed with some of the slick Motorola handsets recently like the DROID. Motorola seems to be unable to weed out all the junk handsets though and its latest MOTO Klassic is boring.

The slick Motorola DROID is making big waves in the US with some saying the device is the best Android phone yet. The DROID is set to hit Europe with a new name called MILESTONE later this month. The device will sport multitouch and Android 2.0 though some reports have the MILESTONE lacking the cool Google Maps Navigation feature the DROID offers in the states.

Bell Mobility has announced that it will be the exclusive carrier of the Omnia II, which will be the official handset of the 2010 Winter Olympics kicking off in a few months. The handset has a 3.7-inch AMOLED screen, 5MP camera, WiFi, GPS, and more.

The best news is that Best Buy is giving the $100 mail-in rebate as an instant discount. That means you can walk in and get the DROID for $199.99.

The Verizon HTC Droid Eris has been spied again in the wild. Am I the only one who finds the Motorola DROID and the HTC Droid Eris to be too similar in name? The device is said to be very similar to the sprint Hero.

Chou pointed out that HTC could make an Android version of the HD2, but it has to “take care of Windows mobile.”

The first commercial for the Blackberry Storm 2 have popped up. We had started to wonder what Verizon was going to do with the device with most of the focus lately being on the DROID. Naturally, Verizon takes a shot at AT&T along the way.

An update has been confirmed for the HTC Hero that will give the handset the latest version of Android — Android 2.0. the update will make the device compatible with that sweet new Google Maps Navigation app too. No time frame for the update has been announced.

T-Mobile USA announced a new no contract rate plan today that gives unlimited voice, text, and data for $79.99. The catch is that users of the no contract plan will pay more for their phones. Exactly how much more is unknown, but you can bet T-Mobile will have some cheap offerings.

Google unveils a new version of the Google Voice service today that lets mobile users keep their existing numbers. The service sheds some of the features of the full offering, but keeps those important voice mail offers like text transcriptions and custom greetings.

Someone over at Motorola hit the go button too early and posted the official webpage for the Droid for all to see. The page has since been pulled, but not before we grabbed screen shots and the official specs for your perusal.

Despite the fact that Windows Mobile 6.5 only recently hit the prime time Microsoft already has an update in the wings. Apparently Windows Mobile 6.5.1 is ready for the bigs and set for RTM. No word on when the OS might actually be available.

The HTC Desire for Verizon was spotted in the wild recently and it looks pretty good. The device is a touchscreen Android handset and that is about all we know about the device at this point.

HTC has announced that it will be releasing the Hero kernel source code to developers. Said code is available to download now and will allow devs to make custom ROMs for the handset.
