The longtime country music crooner is opening up about an incredibly difficult chapter in his life — and near-death — and the details are genuinely shocking.

In a brand-new interview with People out this week, Cyrus revealed that he suffered a severe case of sepsis back in 2024 that landed him in the hospital and left him facing a frighteningly uncertain future.

Even more heartbreaking, the experience took place in the same hospital where his mother, Ruth Ann, had passed away two years before, in 2022. Reflecting on the emotional weight of that moment, Cyrus shared this with People:

“I don’t know exactly how it evolved. It was my worst nightmare. Two years before that, my mom had died in that hospital, in the very floor that I was on.”

So scary…

According to the singer, the illness became so serious so suddenly that his entire body was swollen. At one point, doctors even reportedly advised him to get his affairs in order. Which, uh, WHAT?! That is the kind of warning no one ever wants to hear.

Thankfully, the story did not end there. Despite the grim outlook, Cyrus says he lucky recovered fully, leaving even some of his doctors surprised by the outcome. And looking back on the ordeal now, he credits something greater than himself for helping him survive:

“I had a prayer answered [by God]. That’s a miracle.”

As if that challenge wasn’t enough, Cyrus later faced another major obstacle when he was then diagnosed with vocal paralysis, also in 2024. For a performer whose career has revolved around singing, the diagnosis raised painful questions about whether he would ever be able to return to music.

During that difficult period, he found comfort in a song performed by his daughter Noah and written by his son Braison. He explained:

“Noah’s got that one song, ‘Don’t Put It All on Me,’ that honestly saved my life.”

The lyrics particularly resonated with him:

“Some days, we might fall apart / But we’re never broken.”

Cyrus says the song became a source of strength while he struggled through one of the darkest periods of his life. He also found unexpected inspiration from his young grandson, Bear. He explained:

“In this very broken moment of my life, my little grandson Bear looked at me and said, ‘Try again.’ And up until that moment, he had never spoken to me at all. I wasn’t even sure if he knew my name. In that moment I thought, ‘He’s telling you something.’ Is it about love? Music? Somehow, I got to try again at both. So I’m learning to try again.”

The singer also had support from his girlfriend, actress Elizabeth Hurley, who encouraged him not to give up on his voice when he was doubting himself. He revealed:

“Elizabeth would say to me, ‘Do you understand your voice is coming back?’ She encouraged me to the point where she had me do The Masked Singer [season 14 aired in February]. And she said, ‘You need to do it to challenge yourself.’ And I thought, ‘God, why is she so smart?'”

Now, with his first new album in 14 years on the horizon, Cyrus sounds grateful for where he is today.

After surviving a terrifying health crisis and overcoming enormous personal and professional hurdles, he says he has finally reached a happier place:

“I’m singing — I’ve been singing every day. I feel so good about my voice. This might be one of the better moments.”

That’s quite a turnaround after everything he’s been through!

The Microsoft co-founder appeared before a congressional committee this week as lawmakers continued digging into the sprawling Jeffrey Epstein scandal. While the hearing took place behind closed doors, details from Gates’ testimony have now emerged, per BBC News and many other outlets on Wednesday, and they paint a fascinating picture of how the billionaire says his relationship with the disgraced financier actually unfolded.

According to Gates, he supposedly never had a personal friendship with Epstein despite years of public scrutiny and countless questions about their association. In fact, Gates insisted he kept his distance from many aspects of Epstein’s life and never participated in the kinds of activities that have made Epstein’s name synonymous with scandal.

As Gates told lawmakers in his opening statement ahead of his closed-door testimony on Wednesday:

“I never went to his island, his ranch, or his Florida home. I have never victimized anyone. While he may have sought to foster a personal relationship, I was never interested in that and never reciprocated.”

That’s a pretty forceful denial!

Of course, the connection between the two men has been the subject of intense speculation for years. Gates’ name appeared numerous times in documents released earlier this year, and photos showing the two men together have continued to fuel questions about why the tech billionaire maintained contact with Epstein after the financier’s criminal conviction became public knowledge.

Gates acknowledged that he exercised poor judgment in meeting with Epstein and reportedly repeated his long-standing position that he regrets ever knowing him. But perhaps the most startling revelation from the testimony involved claims that Epstein allegedly attempted to use information about Gates’ private life against him.

The billionaire admitted lawmakers questioned him extensively about draft emails attributed to Epstein that contained sensational allegations regarding Gates’ personal affairs. Gates strongly disputed many of those claims, but he alleged that Epstein attempted to exploit the situation for leverage.

In one of the hearing’s most jaw-dropping moments, Gates stated:

“Epstein was working to use information about my infidelities — in addition to many lies that he layered on top — to pressure me to re-engage with him.”

Yikes.

According to Gates, the relationship initially centered on discussions about Microsoft’s philanthropy and potential fundraising efforts. He testified that Epstein introduced him to a group of prospective donors, creating the impression that meaningful financial support might be generated for global health initiatives.

But Gates said those expectations never materialized. And eventually, he concluded that Epstein’s promises weren’t leading anywhere productive and decided to walk away entirely. As Gates explained in his statement:

“At that point, I concluded Epstein would never deliver on his promises. I told him we would go no further and stopped communicating or meeting with him.”

Not everyone on Capitol Hill appeared fully satisfied by the explanation, however. Lawmakers reportedly pressed Gates behind closed doors during his testimony on how much he knew about Epstein’s past and whether it was believable that someone with access to enormous amounts of information like Gates would not have looked more deeply into the convicted offender’s background.

Meanwhile, some committee members offered their own theories about Epstein’s behavior. One lawmaker described him as a “friend collector” who surrounded himself with powerful and influential figures to enhance his own status and image.

While Gates denied any knowledge of criminal activity and maintained that he never witnessed wrongdoing, the hearing yet again underscores how Epstein’s shadow continues to linger years after his death.

One of the most talked-about figures in the modern UFO disclosure movement is back in the spotlight with another headline-grabbing claim — and this one is sure to get believers and skeptics arguing all over social media.

David Grusch, the former US Air Force officer who made waves in 2023 with explosive allegations about secret government UFO programs, appeared at a gathering in Washington, DC on Tuesday alongside fellow whistleblowers and lawmakers pushing for greater transparency about unidentified aerial phenomena.

And according to media reports from the event, Grusch claimed that the United States government is aware of not just one form of extraterrestrial life, but “several” different types. WHAT?! That is quite the statement!!!

Grusch reportedly did not elaborate on exactly what those alleged life forms might be, how advanced they might be, how they differ from one another, or what evidence exists to support the claim. Still, his remarks immediately reignited interest in a topic that has fascinated the public for decades.

The timing is also impossible to ignore. The event happened just days before the global release of Stephen Spielberg‘s new movie Disclosure Day, a fictional story centered on humanity learning that extraterrestrials are real. Talk about a coincidence that is bound to get people talking!

The demonstration at the Capitol focused heavily on demands for the government to release information that participants believe has been hidden from public view for years. Among the records they want disclosed are files connected to the infamous 1996 Varginha Incident in Brazil, where residents claimed to have encountered mysterious non-human beings.

Several lawmakers from both sides of the political aisle joined the call for more openness. Democrat Congressman Jared Moskowitz declared:

“Disclosure today, disclosure tomorrow. The American people deserve to know.”

Meanwhile, Republican Congressman Eric Burlison argued:

“For decades, the American people have been treated like children, told there are government secrets they just don’t get to know.”

The bipartisan nature of the effort is one of the more surprising aspects of the disclosure movement. While Washington is rarely known for agreement these days, a small group of Republicans and Democrats appear united in their desire to learn more about what information may be locked away within classified government programs.

Of course, supporters of disclosure insist this is about much more than little green men. Questions surrounding highly classified Special Access Programs and government spending have also become major points of concern. Some lawmakers argue that Congress itself may not have complete visibility into certain projects and expenditures.

Grusch echoed those frustrations during Tuesday’s event, saying:

“The topics that we’re discussing here today go beyond life in the universe. Political appointees have not complied with the disclosure law.”

Still, it is worth noting that not everyone is convinced. After Grusch’s dramatic congressional testimony in 2023, federal investigators reviewed many of the allegations. In 2024, the Pentagon’s Anomaly Resolution Office reported that it found no evidence that the US government possessed recovered extraterrestrial technology or non-human biological material.

That finding has done little to slow down disclosure advocates, however. If anything, the debate seems more intense than ever.

Sooo where does that leave us? With plenty of questions, very few answers, and a public that remains endlessly fascinated by the possibility that we may not be alone in the universe.

The political commentator is firing back after the Jimmy Kimmel Live! host took aim at Spencer Pratt following the reality star’s unsuccessful bid to become the next mayor of Los Angeles.

And what started as a round of election-related jokes quickly turned into a much bigger conversation after McCain blasted the comedian in a social media post that left little room for interpretation.

So, this all came about after McCain re-shared a clip from Kimmel’s latest monologue, and the political daughter unloaded on the late-night host with a scathing message:

“Jimmy Kimmel is a mean, heartless b*****d and no amount of on air crying will convince me or anyone else otherwise. The day he is off air will be a better day for the country.”

Yikes!!!

The controversy stems from Kimmel’s Tuesday night monologue, during which he poked fun at Pratt’s campaign and his previous comments about potentially leaving Los Angeles if he failed to win. Pratt had previously publicly suggested he would move away from the city if his political effort fell short, FYI (though he later clarified to several media outlets that he was simply trying to make a broader point about what he sees as the city’s future challenges).

Kimmel, however, saw an opportunity for comedy, as you may recall from our prior reporting, when he said this in the monologue:

“He clearly promised that if Karen Bass or Nithya Raman were elected mayor, he’s going to move out of L.A. He said he was done with L.A., and Spencer, if you’re watching, we are so, so sorry to see you go.”

The joke didn’t stop there. Kimmel continued the bit by revealing a customized U-Haul truck supposedly prepared for Pratt’s departure from the city, adding:

“We do know we’re going to miss the hell out of you. You’re a man of your word and you’ve got to go. You said you were going to go and I know things might be tight right now, especially out-of-state donation money is running out. Moving is expensive. So to help you out we rented you a U-Haul.”

As the audience watched, images of the decorated moving truck appeared on screen. The vehicle featured balloons, streamers, and even a giant image of Pratt’s face alongside a sign reading “Just Defeated.”

Then, Kimmel kept the joke rolling with one final farewell:

“Our staff spent the whole day decorating for you. And everybody will notice you and wave goodbye as you leave. I hope that you and [wife] Heidi [Montag] are happy wherever it is you go.”

Meanwhile, the actual mayoral race continues to move forward! Incumbent Bass secured a spot in the general election, while councilwoman Raman ultimately claimed the second position after additional ballots were counted. Pratt’s campaign, despite attracting plenty of headlines and attention, fell short of advancing.

As for Pratt, Kimmel, and McCain — whether this turns into a larger celebrity feud remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: Meghan was NOT amused.

Model Jennifer An is speaking out about Kanye West allegedly sexually assaulting her on the set of a music video over a decade ago.

Back in 2024, the America’s Next Top Model alum accused the rapper in a lawsuit of gender-motivated violence, sexual assault, and strangulation while filming a video for La Roux‘s In For The Kill at the Chelsea Hotel in New York in 2010. The singer, whose real name is Elly Jackson, witnessed the “upsetting, unsettling” behavior during the shoot. And La Roux backed those allegations, claiming she witnessed and “could never forget” the “horrific” act of aggression toward Jennifer.

Two years later, the model sat down for an on-camera interview with BBC‘s Fame Under Fire podcast on Tuesday, where she got emotional talking about that horrifying day on set. Jennifer said she was hired to appear in the music video for the hit song when she was only 24 years old, and had no idea Ye would be on set the day they shot it. But midway through filming her scene, the crew members suddenly stopped and started “running around the Chelsea Hotel, they’re like, ‘Kanye’s coming, Kanye’s coming.'”

Shortly afterward, all the models “were lined up in the hallway” for Kanye’s arrival, and he “chose three girls to be in the scene with him,” including Jennifer, who was dressed in lingerie. She claims they began filming his section of the music video, but the performer “couldn’t remember his lines,” shouted cut, and ordered the other two models to leave the room to shoot a different scene with her.

According to Jennifer, Kanye had her sit down in a chair in front of him while he positioned himself in a chair behind the camera so he was out of the shot but facing her. The reality star insisted she had no idea what was going to happen next and was given no prior directive about the scene, other than to sit in the chair right then and there. After the music and cameras started, Jennifer alleged:

“All of a sudden he just reaches a hand out and starts choking me, and I’m just not sure what’s happening. And then, he pulled his other hand out and starts choking me with both hands, and then starts smearing my makeup all over my face and sticking his hands inside of my mouth, which I mean it simulated like oral sex.”

Awful…

Jenn then broke down crying while recalling the alleged assault:

“He was smearing the makeup on my face in a way that just felt wrong. He started sticking his fingers into my mouth, and I feel like he was like trying to touch as much as he could.”

When the reporter asked if she could breathe properly while Kanye allegedly had his hands around her throat, the television personality shared that she felt “so suffocated” and “scared” at that moment. In her suit, Jenn claimed she “struggled to breathe and felt as if she had temporarily blacked out.” Despite that, no one allegedly did anything to stop what happened. Jennifer remembers there were a lot of people on the shoot that day, but they “were so still and just there, staring at me” the whole time:

“I just stared at him, ‘Like, what what are you doing? What why are you doing this?’ And then when I got no reaction from him, I just started looking around the room like someone. It was a room full of people. And I was looking around like hoping that someone would see me and be like, ‘Hey, like maybe we should stop.'”

And Jennifer didn’t feel like she could stop the alleged attack herself:

“No, I didn’t because I didn’t know what I was doing… I was more frozen, it’s like ‘I could lose my job.'”

The alleged incident only ended when Kanye was “very happy with himself” and “yelled something like, ‘this is art, I’m Picasso.'” Jennifer continued:

“And shortly after that, he was just like, ‘OK, I got what I want’. But he just abruptly got up and left.”

Jenn claimed Kanye did not speak to her at any point before, during, or after filming. In fact, no one from the set, other than La Roux, spoke to her about the alleged assault that day. The pop star even apologized for what allegedly happened afterward, to which Jennifer said she replied:

“And then I was like, ‘you’re not gonna air that, right? Like, you’re not gonna share that with anyone, because I can’t have my mom see that.’ And she was like, ‘No, of course not, I would never.'”

Kanye ultimately did not end up in the released version of the In For The Kill music video, but he is a featured rapper on the remix of the song. See (below):

Kanye’s rep responded to Jennifer’s interview when TMZ and BBC reached out, but only pointed to a section of the Grammy winner’s legal filings to dismiss the case, in which he does not deny what happened. That said, Ye argued that he should be protected by the First Amendment, which safeguards free speech, because the incident occurred while producing art. Kanye claimed it was part of an “intense and provocative theatrical performance” that paid homage to a scene from American Psycho, and she was “a consenting participant in the stage performance,” never once objecting. WTF. Is it really consent if she never agreed to that “scene” without prior direction or knowledge of what was about to occur??

Jennifer’s attorney, Jesse Winstein, told Fame Under Fire in response that it would be a “really dangerous precedent to set” for any artist to think they are allowed to “basically do whatever they want to, whomever they want in creative spaces, and get away with it as long as they call it art.” Watch the entire emotional interview from Jennifer (below):

If Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce really are planning to celebrate their big day inside Madison Square Garden, they’re apparently doing it the expensive way — and the price tag is absolutely jaw-dropping.

According to a new report from TMZ on Wednesday, the superstar couple isn’t getting any celebrity discounts for their highly anticipated wedding festivities, and the bill for any possible MSG rental is already soaring into the multi-million-dollar range before guests even arrive!

Sources claim the pair have secured the iconic New York City arena for at least three full days here in the coming weeks. And no, that doesn’t mean three days of partying. One day is reportedly being used to build and prepare whatever massive setup they have in mind, another is for the (supposed) wedding itself, and the final day is reserved for taking everything back down once the celebration is over.

The shocking part, this, is that industry insiders told the news outlet that renting out Madison Square Garden in the heart of Manhattan can cost around $1 million per NIGHT.

Do the math, Perezcious readers! That means Taylor and Travis could easily be looking at a venue bill of $3 million or more just for access to the building.

Whoa!!!

Of course, Taylor has a long history with the famous arena. Over the years, she has packed the venue with sold-out concerts and created countless memorable moments there. But apparently past success doesn’t automatically translate into special treatment. That’s because TMZ claims the venue is charging standard rates for her and Travis despite her status as one of the biggest entertainers on the planet.

And then there’s this: if they’re reserving multiple days for setup and teardown, whatever they have planned must be enormous. We’re not talking about a simple ceremony followed by dinner. This sounds like a full-scale production worthy of two of the most famous people in the world!

The guest list is reportedly expected to top 1,000 attendees, per the news outlet — a grouping which would make the event one of the most star-studded celebrity weddings in recent memory. Even more interesting, invitations allegedly haven’t been sent through the mail. Instead, guests are reportedly being contacted directly through phone calls and texts, which is, obvi, a move that could help keep details from leaking publicly.

The venue itself also offers a level of privacy that most celebrity couples can only dream about. MSG has no exterior windows for photographers to peek through, and guests can reportedly enter and leave through underground parking areas away from public view. Nice!

Look, at the end of the day, if this wedding happens as reported, it could end up being one of the most extravagant and talked-about events of the YEAR!!!
