It’s basically a virtual flash drive. You get 2.0GB of storage and you can do with it whatever you want. Then, on any computer, you install the application that maps it to a local drive and BOOM, your files are local and backed up on the cloud. So, say you go to another computer where you can’t install an application. You can access your drive through the web interface.

It’s very cool. I use it to share mp3s with my peoples. I also keep stuff I need to access from different places there. I also back up my Microsoft Money file there, so if my computer dies, I’m covered like Bell TV covers Canada.

Universal health care is implemented in all industrialized countries, with the exception of the United States.

This is ridiculous. We claim to be the greatest nation on this planet, yet nearly 45,000 die EVERY YEAR because they don’t have health care. That is an embarrassment to me as an American and it should be to you.

Let’s be clear. I’m FOR socialized medicine. But not everyone is as radical as I am. I get that. But this bill is a good start. With my wife’s medical conditions, I’ve begun to seriously worry that my insurance company has a lifetime cap. If so, she could be getting close. Then what would I do?

And then there’s ‘pre-existing conditions’. Insurance companies can use just about anything as a pre-existing condition. It’s just a tool to dump those they don’t want to insure.

The system is broken. Even with insurance, I’m getting killed by a myriad of prescriptions and co-pays and my insurance company continues to raise my prescription costs, doubling them last year. Something has to be done.

I would like to extend a huge thank you to those Representatives who voted for this, including Russ Carnahan, who represents my district. I’d also like to thank Representative Anh ‘Joseph’ Cao, the lone Republican who voted for the bill. You probably committed political suicide, but you did what you thought was right. Thank you.

There is a huge fight ahead in the Senate, probably tougher than this fight. But we will push forward. Nearly 47 million citizens need us to.

The Wife was back home from the hopsital. She came home last night. Not sure how long she’ll be home, but here’s to hoping, you know. So, she’s home. The kids get up and have breakfast. A friend offered to take the kids to church. Jen decides to go too. I stay home and commune with the computer. (It’s spiritual, don’t judge.)

After they come home, I take the boys out to ride bikes up and down the street on a gloriously beautiful day. I need to do yard work, so we head out back. The boys actually helped. We mow, weed-eat, rake leaves and then mulch them. I was a serious fat burner out there. The kids worked hard, so we all pile into the car and go for Slurpees. We come back and the boys go hang across the street with their good friends for a few minutes.

Dinner and bedtime and kids are asleep by 8pm.
The Wife is napping on the couch and I’m writing this blog post.

Every once in awhile, you get a really good day. Today was one of those.

The concept is very old drawings taken from a child’s book and adding bizarre definitions and words that use the letter. For example, recently this was an entry.
