You’ve likely noticed in the last two posts a couple of affiliate links. Obviously, not a new form of advertising and marketing, however this is a personal blog, first and foremost, and I want you to still like me when you read it.

That said, I thought I’d pose a quick poll to determine whether you like the affiliate links or not. I’m not looking to get rich off these things, but, as we all know, every little bit helps.

My friend Darren Hoyt and his business partner Ben Gillbanks have relaunched their Pro Theme Design site. Darren is best known for his Mimbo Pro magazine WordPress theme (affiliate link), however I am sure that this new venture will likely bring a lot more focus to Darren and Ben’s work in the WordPress community.

Grooveshark 2.0 Launched:

My friends at Grooveshark have just launched Grooveshark 2.0, with a beautiful new interface (RIP GS 1.0), and a drastically improved back end. Thanks to Ben, I’ve been enjoying the VIP version for a while, and can tell you it truly is a great improvement.

If you’re using Fluid.app to display Grooveshark (Using, of course, the icon I made for it), no changes are necessary to view the new interface. Just launch and enjoy!

BandThemer Launched

BandThemer Launched:

A while back a friend of a friend named Adam Pickering asked me to be a part of a new site he was working on. Knowing that I loved music and design, he wanted me to be a part of BandThemer, a site for WordPress themes built for bands.

Due to time constraints on my end, I am no longer part of the project. Thankfully, Adam has been able to get the site up and running, and has officially launched it tonight.

I did, however, have the privilege of designing one of the first themes, Rugged (affiliate link, in case you really like it!). I am so impressed with out it turned out, and hope others will be too!

Chris Coyier has posted some images of the new Grooveshark App. I have been using the beta version for a while, and it is an incredible app. I’ve had problems getting the latest version going since it was last sent to me, but when I do I’ll post some screenshots and give a bit of a review for you.
