Do you have a passion for writing? We need you!

Qualifications

Must be good in writing using the English language. Writing must be easy to read and in correct grammar.
No educational requirement. You can be in high school but you should have qualification #1.
Full time and part-time positions are available.
Must be internet-savvy.
Having your own computer/Internet at home can be a plus but not a requirement.

When is the deadline for registration in the 2010 Philippine Elections?

The 2010 Philippine Elections is now just around the corner and voters should be aware when will be the last day of registration. The Commission on Elections (Comelec) declared that the last day of registration will be on October 31, 2009. Unfortunately for overseas Filipinos, the last day of their voter registration had already passed last August 31.

The requirements to vote are as follows:

You should be at least 18 years old on or before the date of elections
You must be a certified resident of the Philippines for at least one year and in the place wherein he proposes to vote, for at least six months immediately preceding the election.
You must not have been "disqualified by law, such as any person who has been sentenced by final judgment to suffer imprisonment of not less than one year; any person adjudged by final judgment of having committed crimes such as rebellion, sedition, violation of the firearms laws and against national security; insane or incompetent person as declared by competent authority".

If you have not previously voted in the last two elections (2004 and 2007), then you have to register again at your local Comelec offices. You may register at your respective Comelec centers during office hours (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) from Monday to Saturday (even on holidays). So, what are you waiting for? You must register now so that you will not miss a chance to take part in choosing our leaders!
