At the end of the trailer it says “2 player split-screen.” We have asked Ubisoft to clarify if this means the game will feature offline only co-op, or if you will be able to play online with friends. We’ll update this post once we hear back.

GameStop is offering an exclusive single player mission titled The Palace Pack. It includes an investigation bonus that will unlock exclusive investigation opportunities inside of the network, along with an ATM hack boost that will give players more money when they hack bank accounts.

Much like the GameStop offer, Amazon.com is giving players an exclusive single player mission. Once completed, it unlocks a biometric assault rifle and the Black Viceroy’s outfit. The biometric weapon only works with the first to imprint their palm on the handle of the weapon, and it was smuggled into Chicago for the head of the Black Viceroy gang.

These seem to be pretty good incentives for pre-ordering. Only question is which place you will pre-order at?

Shadow Warrior, developed by Flying Wild Hog, tells the story of Zilla Enterprise’s corporate shogun Lo Wang. His employer gives him the task of tracking down the legendary blade known as the Nobitsura Kage. After he finds the sword, he starts interacting with another realm and ancient gods that pushes our world to destruction. The game will feature both guns and swordplay, along with powerful magic spells to fight off enemies.

Check out the first teaser trailer, and the first screenshots below. Shadow Warrior will be released this fall for PC and consoles. Which consoles are not known at the time.

Also announced today was the voice actors behind Batman and the Joker for Arkham Origns. Batman will be voiced by Roger Craig Smith, and the Joker will be voiced by Troy Baker. Craig Smith is known for voicing Ezio Auditore from the Assassin’s Creed series, Chris Redfield from Resident Evil, and he is even the current voice of Sonic.

Baker will be recognized for voicing Booker DeWitt in BioShock Infinite, Sgt. Matt Baker in the Brothers in Arms series, Kai Leng from Mass Effect 3, and Snow in Final Fantasy 13. Even though it is not Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill returning to reprise their roles, at least we have some seasoned voice actors who have a huge portfolio.

Batman: Arkham Origins will be available on October 25 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U, PC, and 3DS. Check out the first trailer below.

The bigger news however is that the game will be playable after the PSN download is 50% finished. This is a brand new feature in line with Sony’s plans to being able to start playing games instantly after a title is purchased on the PlayStation 4.
