Last November 15th we and our great friend Elias Dantas were at Jaraguá do Sul, a small city on the neighbor State of Santa Catarina, three hours far from Curitiba. This gig was really special ‘coz beside Master we had the opportunity to see an awesome live set of Absu! Tersis Zonato is really a big fan of Absu and he had really a great time making tons of movies and pics of the live set and of course signing all the songs on the stage front! They’ve played classics such as Highland Tyrant Attack and Morbid Scream. We can’t forget to mention Proscriptor McGovern’s live performance, simply AMAZING, this guy fuckin’ kills!

This was the second time Master have played in Brazil but on the first one unfortunately was not possible to meet them but we’re sure that the second time was really better! Master live set was really awesome too! They have played almost and hour and the set was full of classic ones as Master, Shoot to Kill, Judgement of the Will, Submerged in Sin, Pay to Die… And finishes with some songs of the most recent album The New Elite! No comments, just DEATH METAL on its purest and glorious way! Really great to meet Paul Speckmann personally, signing all stuff people have asked for, taking tons of pics and giving all the attention for their fans, cool guy!

We also can’t forget to mention the opening acts! Our great brothers of Antichrist Hooligans did another awesome set with their sick Metal Punk attack and Carrasco is gettin’ better and better every time we seen them! Great guyz, keep making the Old-school Death Metal a MUST! The low point was just the few people at the club but it’s not a new when it’s about underground gigs in Brazil, the shame continues! Congratulations for the whole organizers for the effort for making it possible!

He is a great musician, a multi-instrumentalist, a huge Doom and Death Metal maniac, have already great experiences on some other local bands and we’re sure that he’ll give all that Offal deserves and needs from him! Thanks a lot for join us, welcome to our macabre realm and STAY ROT, man!

They did just two live appearances in Brazil: Belo Horizonte/MG (09/06) and São Paulo/SP (09/07). Unfortunately we didn’t meet the whole band as we really would like to do (I’m sure they will back soon and so we’ll do) but was fuckin’ great to meet with Chris Reifert! Yeahhh, the legend himself! The man who have recorded some of the most special and influential Death Metal albuns ever… Scream Bloody Gore, Severed Survival, Mental Funeral… no words, no comments, just awesome!

Chris is really a great guy and we had a great time with him! He did tons of pictures, signed the whole stuff people have asked for to sign, we gave him both Offal’s full-length albums and we talked about how die-hard Autopsy worshippers we’re! Great guy, really friendly and prestative with the whole fans, congrats!

And what about the live set? Wohhhhh, amazing! Almost an hour of pure horrific Autopsy madness and the set run just with the cult classic ones as Charred Remains, Twisted Mass of Burnt Decay, In the Grip of Winter, Ridden with Diseae, Critical Madness, Slaughterday… Arghhhhh! No comments, nothing couldn’t be so fuckin’ special like this great time with Autopsy! ALL HAIL AUTOPSY – THEY REIGN SUPREME FOREVER!

And later but not too late we meet a lot of great old friends from everywhere on a local Grind and Noise Core Festival: Noise in your Head in Perus – São Paulo. What the hell? What a raw place for a gig! We have never seen nothing like that before! The meaning of 3rd world ’til the bones! Special congrats to Subcut for the fuckin’ intense and brutal gig – Cranium-crushing Old-school Grind Core As Fuck!

As we’ve updated on our lastest blog posts, we got back to the Lutemkrat’s and AvantGarde’s tombs to record some new tracks for a couple of split stuff we’ve planned for late 2012 and 2013! Well, it’s totally done and now we’ll just start to work on the whole efforts to put it out! These recording sessions were the last ones we did with our ex-drummer Eduardo Tobe (Thanks a lot Yakuza!). Here are some pics of the studio sessions we did and wait for more news about these upcoming releases on a near future!

According to the label, “Razorback Recordings is proud to announce that we have signed the mighty horror/gore Death Metal maniacs OFFAL, for their 3rd album to be released in 2013! Hailing from Brazil, OFFAL has been around since 2006 and have done 2 full-length albums and many split releases with other awesome bands such as Decrepitaph and Anatomia. Their last album, “Macabre Rampages and Splatter Savages”, was released in 2010 on Black Hole Productions and was a masterpiece of true horror-worshipping death metal that we were huge fans of. We’re very excited to be working with this great band and look forward to releasing their 3rd album next year on Razorback!”.

We hugely would like to thank Billy and Vanessa Nocera for believing in us and for giving us this awesome opportunity! The maggots are crawling and feasting upon the rotting flesh! Offal is ready for more Horror-drenched and Trash-cin addicted Old-school Death Metal Dementia! Arghhhhh!

Antes tarde do que nunca, “Macabre Rampages and Splatter Savages” revela-se com um item indispensável, Death Metal com ares da podreira tradicional do Autopsy e das linhas cadenciadas do Xysma. Foge à regra do Splatter mais purulento e desconcertante. Aqui a sonoridade segue o rito da decomposição, com o sabor da morte lenta, do pesar ante a barbárie humana e da progressão verminose que cada faixa transgride, vomitando partes lentas, climáticas, por vezes velozes como a velha escola sueca ensina bem, aquela típica bateria HC que só agrada os iniciados.

“Trial of the Undead”, “The Eye-gouging”, “The Cold Grips of Death”, “Mortuary Waste” e as instrumentais “Deep Red – The Blood Is Running Cold” (uma justa homenagem ao cineasta Dario Argento – com direito a linhas de Cello) e “Terrore in Giallo” são faixas que demonstra uma banda com maturidade de sobra, explorando a sublime sujeira em partes cadenciadas de forma a se valer do Offal uma banda bem acima da média e fora da zona comum. É claro que toda podridão se ouvem em “The Eye-gouging” e “Death’s Curse”, mas sempre priorizando uma essência de marcha desolada e de tempos turvos.

Parabéns ao Offal por esse puta disco, clássico e pecaminoso por excelência. Não custa dizer outra vez: item obrigatório.

Ah é, o disco… Cara, sabe o Autopsy? Pois é, lindo e belo, death metal oldschool, riffão cravado, homenagens à filmes de terror, levadas de 1×1 e o que mais faz um défibangue feliz. Não tem como errar, e o vocal do André é muito foda! Digo isso porque você deve estar acostumado à ele no Lymphatic com 3 toneladas de efeitos. “Trial of the Undead” representa o que é o disco, mas caras, o riffzinho doom do final é de arrepiar os cabelo da piriquita da sua vó, que espetáculo! Na real, lembra de longe o final da Mine is Yours do Anathema. Ainda rola um cello na instrumental “Deep Red”, que tem um riff maravilhoso. É um som que estaria em qualquer play de banda gringa fácil e nego aqui ia cagar na mão e engolir com farofa temperada e dizer: “Se o Offal tocar sabuci eu choro!”, fodástico! E mais uma vez, elogios pra ilustra da capa, como eu amo essas paradas =~~~~

Hello everybody! We finally got a lot of pics of the last gig we did on our label’s fest! Except for some technical problems for the very few rehearsals we did and for being the last Eduardo “Duda” Tobe‘s live appearance, at least was a great gig!

People got insane again and the support was one of the best to date, we can’t remember when we play live for a so big amount of friends from everywhere! People moshing and head-banging like hell, screaming some chorus together with us and making the live set a true non-stop killing was really amazing!

We just would like to thank Fernando “The Boss” Camacho, for the whole gig organization and special gifts, the other bands we’ve played with, Pablo Teixeira and Camila Raiser for the pics and of course, all the mad freaks that were supporting Offal on the stage!
