Startup Organizer is a Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP/2003/Vista program that was developed to provide quick access to all of the programs that are automatically started when you turn on or logon to your computer.

Using Startup Organizer, you can inspect, edit, print and/or temporarily disable such programs and make backup configurations.

You may significantly reduce the time required for your system startup by disabling programs that you don`t need all the time.

With RunOnceEx, Services and AutoRunDLL technology support, StartUp Organizer provides you with the most complete control on all methods to start programs automatically.

The Controlled Startup feature allows you to skip certain programs during startup if you hold the [Shift] key while Windows is logging on.

The new version allows you to choose the key for the Controlled Startup feature. It is also possible now to prompt for a confirmation of whether to start all or each program in the Controlled Startup.

StartUp Guard detects non-standard ways to run applications when Windows starts and issues recommendations when it encounters suspicious programs.

Users of Windows NT 4.0/2000/XP/2003/Vista/2008 can benefit from the new ability to work with other users startup configurations. StartUp Organizer supports Easy Wheel™ technology. You don`t need to click on some control to scroll it using mouse wheel. Simply point your mouse over the control you want to scroll up or down and use the wheel!

StartUp Organizer marks empty nodes with gray color. This helps you navigate categories faster.

StartUp Organizer shows other users configurations on Windows NT 4.0/2000/XP/2003 systems – All | Startup menu | Other users and All | Registry | Other users. You can work with them just like with any other category. However you will need to logon as system administrator, otherwise Windows will not allow you to access the other users list.

Another useful feature is ability to add some program to multiple users at once. Select File | Add program to multiple users. You will be prompted to browse for the program to add and click OK button. Then you will see a window with a list of all users. Select one or more users from the list using Ctrl-click or Shift-click and click OK button.

Now you can define the exact sequence in which to run your StartUp programs. You can also set a delay between program launches.

StartUp Organizer versions 2.0 and later allow you to print your system startup configuration.

You can choose brief mode, or detailed mode to show maximum details.

Scanning your registry
To scan your registry, first make the sections you want to scan by checking the boxes on the section list that correspond to the various sections of the Windows registry and Shortcuts. The default option is to scan all sections. To begin the scan, click on the "Scan" button. During the scanning process you can pause or cancel the scan at any time by clicking the appropriate button.

Repairing your registry
Once the scan is completed you will be shown a list of problems detected in your registry. You can either choose the entries to fix or choose the default to select them all. Then you click "Repair" to fix the problems.

A backup copy of the repair will be automatically saved so that it can be undone if necessary.

Restore
If you want to restore any errors that have been previously corrected you may do so by clicking "Restore" button . You will be shown a new screen with a list of all the backups available.

To restore a backup, check the box next to the item to restore and click the "Restore" button.

To delete any previous backups, check the boxes next to the items you would like to remove and click the "Delete" button.

Topaz ReMask only exists because of very recent developments in image extraction techniques.

Like many Topaz products, Topaz ReMask's capabilities are only made possible through the very latest developments in image enhancement technology. A masking tool like Topaz ReMask would be literally impossible back in 2007, for instance.

ReMask works by analyzing the information in the user-created tri-map and comparing it to the original image to accurately determine what to keep and what to remove in the image. The tri-map serves three purposes to Topaz ReMask:

1.White tells Topaz ReMask what to keep in the image for sure. ReMask then compares these areas with the original image and can accurately determine the nature of the "desired" areas based on many image characteristics.

2.Black tells Topaz ReMask what to remove in the image for sure. ReMask then determines the nature of the "undesired" areas using this information.

3.Gray tells Topaz ReMask which parts of the image to process. ReMask extrapolates the data from the white and black parts of the image to figure out the gray parts with a high degree of accuracy.

The resulting mask can then be easily adjusted or refined using native Photoshop tools or a second pass of Topaz ReMask.

Digital image processing with PhotoLine enables the user to modify pictures in a way that required very expensive applications only a few years ago.

Feature Overview

The image processing part of PhotoLine contains all standard features like painting, copying, filtering, color blends and fill functions. In order to eliminate interfering background in pictures PhotoLine offers various lasso functions, a flexible mask handling and a magic wand function.

Layers are an important feature for professional usage. The number of layers is only limited by the available memory.

The number of undo and redo steps can be set in a range from 0 to 500.

In PhotoLine you can create, load, edit and save CMYK pictures.

The filter section contains a large quantity of features: sharpen, unsharp masking, soften, outline, video for correcting interlaced pictures, relief, glow, shadow, ...

Morphing and distortion functionality is already integrated.

If that is not enough, PhotoLine is extendable through plug-in modules in the 8BF format.

PhotoLine supports numerous import file formats like PLD, PDF, TIF, BMP, GIF, JPEG, CMX, PCD, PCX, PNG, PSD, EPS, PICT, TGA, IMG, ICO, ANI, XBM, IFF, ESM, CGM, PIC, CVG, GEM, WMF. On Windows you can also import pictures via the Aldus import interface. There are many import filters for this interface like PS, PDF, CDR and WPG. In all formats layers and transparency are preserved if possible.

PhotoLine has special functions for saving web graphics. It can create, import, edit, show and save transparent and animated GIF files. To save valuable web space and bandwidth GIFs can be saved highly optimized and interlaced. Saving of progressive JPEGs is supported, too.

Due to the various import and export drivers and its integrated batch function PhotoLine is well suited as a file format converter. In combination with the action recorder the batch function is a very powerful tool. For example with one mouse click it is possible to read all pictures from a directory, reduce them to 256 colors for usage in the web and save the pictures to a different directory.
