I always wonder how people review products. I know for a fact that reviewing a product is not an easy task. One thing's for sure, you have to experience the product before you can review it. So if a site review hemorrhoid treatment products, it means that they tested it to people who have hemorrhoid. Do you have any idea on how they measure a product's effectiveness? If you have to ask me, I think cost, safety and long term effect are major factors to consider.

I think product reviews are somewhat the same with making a blog review. You have to look around, have a feel of the site and test it. After that you will draw your conclusion. What do you think guys? Have you tried reviewing a product?

They tease me and sometimes call me octomom, not because I can give birth to 8 kids but because I have 8 blogs. Even hubby teases me that I am like an octopus and if I would do carpentry jobs, I wouldn't need clamps. That is not true of course, I only have two hands. I just schedule everything that's why I don't have a hard time managing some of my blogs. But the last few couple of weeks are very hectic. We had our contest remember and I am glad (but a bit sad) that it's over.

Can I just brag?

We promised our sponsors we will give them 50 back links at minimum (and 200 on Level 1 sponsors). Can you guess how much back links they got? Uh well, we got 94 contestants and if you add up all their blog about the contest post (where in the sponsors list are included), it's 147 post! It means that from that alone, our sponsors got 147 back links! And our level one sponsors got 376 back links! Our contest was a success.

Steel Building Hotels

I get a kick out of buildings made out of container bans. Here in our place, there's a small residential area where in all the units are from big container vans. Only recent that I learned that those were called steel buildings. It's really nice to sleep on those. Last October, I experienced staying on a hotel where in their rooms are made from steel buildings. I have to thank my sister for that, it was her wedding.

Ever since, I dream of staying on that kind of building. I was delighted to learn that in Cam Sur Water Sports Complex, steel buildings hotel is one their cheapest place to stay. Maybe next year when we got a bigger car, we will drive down south.

Like for example, if you are an affiliate of a site that offers best acne treatment, if you bring in costumers that bought their product, you are rewarded through cash or other form of gifts. Some of affiliates gain a percentage of the total sales.

If you are an affiliate marketer of a certain, you may want to talk about the product more and then insert your affiliate link. Like me, I am an affiliate of some of the online companies where I usually buy clothes for my kids. Whenever I talk about the clothes I bought, I usually insert my affiliate code.

KP Contest

Finally our contest has ended! And I have so many things to talk about, just give me some time to organize thoughts and finish counting the comments and the scores. I am going to share with you all the things that we learned about our contest. Am going to suggest some contest mechanics and some ideas on how to encourage more participants. I will also post an entry on how to look for sponsors specially if it is cash.

I have mentioned before that memes are a great way to introduce your blog. Joining memes are really fun and though time consuming, it is very rewarding. Some of my friends host a meme of their own. Now, I am trying to host a weekly meme too. Not exactly a meme, but I encourage my friends to leave their mark every Monday on my post. I host it on my health blog. This week, I have to pass because I am still busy looking for adipex without prescription, I am thinking of posting about it on my health blog. It's already summer here and almost all she bloggers are doing everything to have that sexy body to flaunt on the beach.

Blogging And Burning

March is half through and April is fast approaching. As expected I will post again my earnings for March. When I started blogging, I never thought I could that much but I dream of it of course. The only problem with earning through blogs is that you sit almost all day. Sitting all day made my tummy big. Imagine, I eat and would sit immediately. Sometimes I would even eat in front of the PC. I have no more time to exercise! I wish there are products that focus on burning belly fat without me having to exercise. If there is one, for sure, my blogging career will be in full blast! I can sit all day, blog all day without having to worry my growing tummy. LOL

We love reading reviews, specially if it is a product that we want to use. We rely on the Internet to look for reviews. I am guilty of that, I cannot live without Internet. So now that my forehead is covered wit acne, I am looking for acne treatment reviews so I can choose what product to use. So maybe when I finally find a product that is good for me, I will share it to my review blog.

You know, having a review blog helps a lot, specially if you have some rant on a product or you just wanna share your gratitude to the company. In the future, you can also monetize a review blog. Review blog is a good site to put ads like adsense because of the richness of its content.

The Header That Speaks

I love headers. In fact, to me that is one the most important part of a blog or website (except of course the content). A blog owner should take time figuring out what header they would use. Take a look on the header of http://www.coloncleanser.net, it says clearly that the website is all about colon cleanser. The image of the tummy helps a lot on projecting what the website is all about.

The image above will give you some points on what is a good header to use. If you have to ask me, my favorite header comes from my parenting blog. A photo of a woman with 4 kids and everything else is a riot, for sure most of my readers think of me as such.

So finally, we managed to watch the ending of Santino and some news about high risk auto insurance. This is a type of insurance for high risk drivers. I have seen news about drivers who are at risk to road accidents. In the US, insurance for high risk drivers are more expensive. High risk driving are usually based on the track record of the driver (speeding tickets etc). Here in our country, I don't think we have that kind of insurance. Yes, we have insurance for high risk people (like pilot, OFW and professional drivers) but it is the same for all drivers.

Blogging Card In Focus

Blogging card is the calling card of bloggers. These are cards that bears blogging information of the person. So what to put in a blogging card? Of course first and foremost, you have to put the title of your site. It should be the most visible part of your blogging card. The appearance of your blog title should be the same as it is in your blog. You may also add an image that represents your blog. So for example your site is about Anilox cleaner, you might want to insert an image of a bottle (that might represent Anilox). Or like what I did on some of my blogging cards. The first one is for my personal blog and one of the most prominent image there is the screaming boy, which can be found on my blogging card.

Aside from title and image, another important part of your blogging card is the url of your blog. How will you put the url? It depends. You can do without the http:// if your blog's url starts with www. If it does not, including http:// is best. You can also add your email address and your contact information but it is not necessary. The best size of a blogging card is 2 inches by 3 inches (or less). Feel free to experiment just don't forget the title and the url of your blog.

It's About To End

Finally, our contest is about to end. The idea was to celebrate our blogging anniversary, which was last year. But since a lot of our friends held their contest last year, we decided to postponed it. After so much pleading (for sponsors to pledge) and countless mechanics revision, we were able to launched it as planned. And because of that, I spend more time on the computer and I stay away from our entertainment centers (what's with the s? we have one upstairs, PS3 and TV and one here). I am pretty sure Kaye too has to sacrifice her movie watching activity. And so we have to extend it since we want to keep our promised back links to our sponsors. Funny because some people who are not aware of our contest are doubting it's credibility and if it is real.

Just to clarify, we revised some of the mechanics so we can have more contestants. It's our contest so we can do anything about it. I am pretty sure our sponsors would be delighted to know how much back links they got for just $5. Sister Blogger

When my mom saw how much I earn fro blogging, she suddenly wants my sisters to learn what I am doing. She even planned on buying a laptop for my sister with Black Friday price. Black Friday is the Friday that comes after Thanksgiving. I heard a lot about sales during this day. My relative from the US brags about her good and cheap finds while shopping on Black Friday.

Anyway, I told my sister that while she doesn't have her own yet, she can use mine. I told her, I can teach her and guide her on building a blog of her own. I can lend her some money to buy her own domain and we use my hosting provider as her host too. I will even help her build links and gain PageRank and increase her Alexa ranking. Sissy on the other hand says no to my offer. She told me it would not be practical to start a blog if she cannot update it as much as I do. Maybe she is that confident to open up yet. But I do hope in time, she will love what I am doing.

Own Domain Dot Com

Why buy your own domain?

When I started blogging, I started a free blog using Blogger as my platform. Although I am aware of own domain and the likes, I opted not to have my own domain then. One of the reason was I am not sure if I can blog that long. It was a new found hobby and I am not sure if my enthusiasm will last. Buying my own domain then is just a waste of money. But now, I realized, blogging (or talking) is my passion (and I have more than three domains of my own now) and I should habe boguht domains before.

You might wanna ask what is the importance of having your own domain. There are pros and cons but if you are determined to monetize your blog, having your own domain is a must. Even if you have to use pre paid credit cards to buy it. I now that when you start blogging you don't even have a single cent in your paypal account, so pre paid credit cards is a good choice when you want to spend on domains.

The advantage of having your own domain when you want to monetize your blog is you have full control over it. In subdomain blogs, you are limited on the widgets and codes that you can add. While in own domain blogs, you can add banners and other advertising tools to monetize it. And if you are into paid posting, advertising companies frown on subdomain blogs. I still have to know why and I will keep you posted about it.

SEO Friendly Articles

We all want our articles to appear on search engine right? We may not dream of being on the top result of top search engine, but being on the first page is something that we can be proud of. SEO means search engine optimization. I am not your SEO guru but in my years of blogging, in a way, I already learned my lessons.

Whenever I search for SEO articles one of the number advice I get is that the article should be descriptive enough. Even my hubby says that an article that contains a certain keyword should have related words on it. For example, if you are writing about Mesothelioma, you just don't said the word. First you need to define it, and mention words like Asbestos (exposure to asbestos is one of the most common cause of mesothelioma). You should mention asbestos and the law that governs it. Aside from that, you can also include if it is related to smoking or not. You just can't write about and its symptoms, you have to think of words that are related to your keyword which is Mesothelioma.

Number of words is also another factor when writing an SEO friendly articles. It should not too short and should not be too long too. AN SEO friendly article should at least have 200 to 400 words. For sure, with this amount of words, you can already write a very descriptive article. Another one is to highlight your keyword (make it in bold or in different color). It makes your keyword more noticeable in the search engine.

Creating an SEO friendly is not really hard, it just takes a lot of patience and time.
