Hi Friends! It’s Summer! Which means we all should be sippin on a big old bevy (aka beverage) everyday.

Last week I went to dinner with some friends, Jen and Jyl, and we were talking about how to make a dirty diet coke, and I was surprised they hadn’t heard of it! I love an easy appetizer. Something that doesn’t take much to put together, and yet the flavor combinations feel like you spent a lot of time making it.

Last week, I ate at the Dodo restaurant in Salt Lake with my sisters, and we ordered the Baked cream cheese appetizer, and I haven’t stopped thinking about it…so, I had to make it at home. The recipe is pretty straight forward, but the flavors together are pretty amazing.

Wahoo! It’s our first week of Summer! And so far we have had great weather. Last night we took in the most amazing sunset. There is just something so special about June. It has a scent. This time of year, I just can’t get enough of how it smells outside in the evenings. I wish I knew what flowering thing it was, because I would plant it all over my yard. I don’t think it’s lilacs, because most of ours have seem to already come and gone by now. Any idea what it could be? Anywho…

Hi friends! I hope you all had a nice Mother’s Day weekend. It’s always a little bitter sweet for me, but mostly sweet. Yesterday, I spent the entire day working in my yard, it was so needed! Yard therapy is the best kind of therapy, don’t you think?

This week’s recipe is definitely ‘all things delicious’. Last week, my friend Brooke of All Things Thrifty invited me to help her kick off the new channels of her site, and I shared this recipe. …and now I’m sharing it with you. It’s the best chicken tortilla soup that I’ve ever had, and it’s easy too, because you can use a rotisserie chicken. It’s the kind of soup you want to make a big batch of, because it makes the best kind of lunch the next day.
