The Janne Faulkner Prize for Design Excellence at RMIT

Nexus Designs is proud to announce our partnership with RMIT for an annual student prize in honour of our Founding Director Janne Faulkner, who championed young Australian talent throughout her career.

The prize recognises the most outstanding 2nd year RMIT student enrolled in either Diploma of Interior Design or Associate Degree of Interior Decoration and Design.

Her Majesty’s Shortlisted AIDA Awards 2019

We are pleased to announce that our Her Majesty’s project has been shortlisted for Residential Design in this year’s AIDA Awards.

Simplicity, effortless functionality and wellbeing were paramount for this flowing apartment fitout within an inner-city 1800’s building. A comprehensive project, from space planning and joinery through to furniture and accessories. Home for two professionals and sometimes-there adult children it was designed to respond perfectly to their daily patterns of living.

Shoreham House on The Design Files

We are delighted to see one of our favourite beach house projects, Shoreham House, featured in The Design Files today. Our furniture selection was inspired by the work of Tim Spicer and Fiona Brockoff, who created such exceptionally strong relationships between indoors and out.

Walter Knoll Germany features Zagame Showroom

Thanks to Walter Knoll Germany for profiling our recent fitout of the Zagame Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Melbourne showroom, which featured a number of their iconic pieces, such as the FK and Fabricius chairs, Jaan Living sofas and Saddle chairs. Their leather finishes evoke a sensory experience synonymous with luxury car interiors, and helped us achieve a space that celebrates minimalist luxury.

VAGO Shortlisted & Featured in Artichoke

We are delighted to announce that the Victorian Auditor General’s Office (VAGO) has been shortlisted in the 2018 Australian Interior Design Awards for Best Workplace Design.
This project presented an amazing opportunity to renew the culture and quality of the organisational workplace. As Interior Design consultants on this striking project, our rationale for creating a “homebase”, a space for unity and wellbeing, has been stunningly realised through the concise, dedicated and inspirational attention of our design team.

Thank you also to Artichoke magazine for featuring VAGO in their March 2018 issue.

The Auditor General’s clear vision of a workplace of transparency, respect and accountability inspired our design response for this collaboration with Baumgart Clark Architects.
