Yesterday I posted on Facebook about how Walgreens was having a Friends and Family Event that day only. 20% off Walgreens brand items and 15% off regular brand items. It was a good chance to stock up on household items!

CVS put out a tweet for a party they were/are having and if you RSVP'ed you got a coupon for $2.00 off any food or candy. That went along great with a sale on Pepsi this week. I had a slew of Mars coupons to use also.

My daughter LOVES Strawberry Shortcake! I came across the Toys R Us ad in the paper yesterday and saw that they are on sale THIS WEEK ONLY for buy one get one FREE! My little girl has gone through so much that if a Strawberry Shortcake doll will bring a smile to her face I am going to do what I can to get that smile there. We are potty re-training due to some pretty serious medical issues so these will be great incentive for her. So I bought the only 4 different kinds they had and my total was at $20, now usually I stick to my guns and only get what I came for, BUT...I had a coupon for $5 off a $25 purchase so I got my total pass $25 by buying buy one get one free Xia Xia toys too.

My daughter knows all their names and what they do and I can't wait until she see these!

I got a chance to run into CVS today and I picked up a few things. I happen to have extra bucks that were going to expire so I used those to pay and then ended up getting more for next time. That's the way to shop! Here is what I got:

Carefree Pantiliners (Price with raincheck from last week) $1.00 = $9.00 I used a $1/1 coupons from the 3/18 SS and got 9 packages for FREE!!

Mars Easter Egg Chocolates 2 for $1.00 = $2.00 I used a $1/2 coupon from the 3/25 SS and (2) $0.25/1 coupons from the CVS scanner machine = FREE! And I got back $2 in ECBs!

M&M's are on sale Buy one get one free at $4.19 a bag. I used (2) $1/2 coupons that printed out the CVS card scanner machine and then a $1/2 coupon from the 3/25 SS = $1.19 or $0.60 per bag.

Maybelline Tattoo Eyeshadow was $6.99 each = $13.98 I used (2) $1.50/1 Swagbucks coupons = $10.98 and I got back $3 in ECBs for spending $10 on Maybelline = $7.98 or $3.99 each

In the end I used ECBs to pay and received a $2 and a $3 ECB for next time! I can't wait to try the eyeshadow! I may be getting too old to rock purple eyeshadow, but it must be something in my blood that makes me think it's still okay...lol!!

Total before coupons = $23.00

Total after coupons = $7.50 and I used ECBs to pay and got back $6 back in ECBs for next time!!

Kmart - Ziploc Deal

Kmart isn't my favorite place in the world. It got a lot better when they did the double coupon weeks where you could double unlimited coupons up to $2 then it went down the tubes when they said that if you want to double coupons you have to spend $25 FRIST and then you can only double 5 coupons per transaction...please. Why waste your time and the prices are OUTRAGEOUS! So this little gem was something I went for. The deal is that you buy $10 worth of Ziploc bags and you get a catalina for $5 and one for $2 off your next purchase and they rolled (but only one of them) and you can use coupons! So here's how it goes if your cashiers aren't idiots...

Transaction #1

Ziploc Bags $2.50 used a $0.50/1 coupon from the 3/18 SS = $2.00

Total before coupons = $10.00

Total after coupons = $8.00 and you get back $7.00 in Catalinas for next time = $0.25 per BOX!!! Stock up price!

Transaction #2

Ziploc Bags $2.50 used a $0.50/1 coupon from the 3/18 SS = $2.00

Total before coupons = $10.00

Total after coupons = $8.00 and use the $5 Catalina from before. Pay $3 Out of pock and you get back $7.00 in Catalinas for next time!

Then I had those $2 catalinas, but I held up the line long enough I also bought dog treats that were $3.99 each and I had a coupon from buy one get one free. I ended up paying $1.99 for both boxes after I used the $2 catalina to pay.

At first when I tried to use the $2 catalina on the dog treats the cashier said it could only be used to buy more Ziplocs? I had to say I got it from buying the Ziplocs it doesn't say I have to use it on more and it went on for a minute, but it worked fine once she scanned it...duh!

So now I have to go back sometime in the next week to spend $9 in catalinas....ugh, Kmart.

Walgreens 3/24 - Great Clearance Find!!

I had read that there was a great clearance on OLAY products that also coordinated with a sale valid for this week only. OLAY products are Buy one get one 50% off! So since clearance varies from store to store I decided to try my luck, which is a big stretch for me because if it wasn't for bad luck I wouldn't have any luck at all...LOL! Here is what I found:

**The OLAY did in fact ring up clearance and BOGO 50% off....BUT, the cashier and the manager would only let me use 1 coupon instead of using 2 coupons and adjusting the second coupon down as it says they are suppose to do in their coupon policy! So I will be calling the 1-800 number with my cashiers name handy so they can explain to her that I was right and she was WRONG. Anyway....

If you buy them one at a time it works fine too.

OLAY $2.29 used a $2/1 coupon from the March P&G = $0.29 each! GREAT PRICE!!

I also bought a Hair Color that was $2.24 and used a $2/1 coupon = $0.24

Today is the first time in over a month that I was able to step into a CVS with a semi-planned trip. I originally went in to get my $1.49 M&Ms use my $1/1 coupon I printed from Swagbucks, pay my $0.49 plus tax and go until....I spotted these clearance lollipops for just $0.13 each!! So much for the 3 quarters I had in my pocket that was going to be used for my quick trip...LOL!!

When I got my ads for the grocery stores I saw that Smtih's was having a P&G buy 4 get $4 off sale. In the ad I didn't see much and it wasn't until I read that there have been a lot of P&G items that were "unadvertised." I decided to grab my coupons and go take a look to see what I could grab. Here is what I saw:

Old Spice Body wash. Regular price $3.49 each, buy 4 get $1 off each one. Brings it down to $2.49 each. Used the coupon for $2/1 in the January P&G and get each body wash for $0.49!! That is a great price if you can't find a deal to get them for free!
I have a love affair with make up! I even passed it on to my 3 year old who will see make up and squeal, "MAKE UP!!!" in the store. Covergirl regular price $2.55 buy 4 and get $1 off each one bringing the price to $1.55 each. Then use a covergirl coupon for $2.50/2 and pay $0.60 for 2! LOVE IT!

They have Herbal Essence regular price $2.79 buy 4 get $1 off each one. Makes each bottle $1.79 and then there is a $1/1 coupon in the January P&G brings the price down to $0.79 each. Now I didn't buy any of those because HE usually goes on sale for free,but if you like it and you have the coupons it's not a terrible price!

I also saw Old Spice deodorant on sale for $1.99 buy 4 get $1 off each. Make them $0.99 each. There is also a coupon for $1/2 in the January P&G. Brings them down to $0.49 each! Great price if you can't get them for free!

So since you can only use 4 like coupons per transaction. I did 4 transactions. For each transaction I paid $4.75 but I got 4 Body washes, 4 deodorants and 4 eyeshadows. That's like $0.40 per item!

Albertsons 1/6 - Cereal Deal

I can't remember the last time I went shopping at Albertsons. I was on the lookout for a good cereal deal and the stars aligned with Alberstons...kind of.

We have 1 box of shredded wheat cereal after my husband had donated my stock pile of cereal to a family in need over Christmas break. After that we were the family in need...of cereal.

I was reading through my ads and could not find a stock up price for cereal. My stock up price on cereal is $1 or less. The closest I saw was $2.49, but when you buy a combo of 10 items cereal went down to $1.99 a box but that is still WAY to high a price to pay for cereal. Then all the sudden SWAGBUCKS saves the day with coupons!

They had $0.75/1 coupons that brought the cereal to $1.24 a box. Still not my perfect price, but they also gave me $2.50 in box tops for education I could give to my daughters school, so that made it a little easier to buy. Here is everything I bought:

Total AFTER coupons = $12.24 and then $2.50 instant Box tops and $2.50 in attached Box tops! That is a savings of 50% Which is a realistic coupon savings shopping trip.

So, like I said I haven't been to Alberston's in Forever and hadn't participated in their game of savings they are having. After my transaction I received some game pieces and then the person that had been in front of me had given me theirs and they had a lot! So I also grabbed a game board and tried my luck.

I didn't win anything spectacular. I won the CHANCE of winning a $1,000 shopping card IF I send in an index card with my name and stuff and spend the cost of a stamp on a CHANCE of winning. That was pretty disappointing but I will give it a whirl. Wish me luck!

I heard that there were great clearance finds at Walgreens this week, but I guess by the time I got there it was too late. I found NOTHING! I did get a chance to chat with one of my favorite cashiers so it wasn't a total waste. Here is what I picked up:

Box of 50 Candy Canes on clearance. Original price $4.00 then marked 75% off = $1.00

Bio "Something" Conditioner Original price $3.99 marked down to $0.50

Total OOP $1.50

* I didn't NEED the candy canes but I want to try to make some white chocolate peppermint popcorn :0)

Target Christmas Clearance was down to 70% off at Target. 70% is the new 75%, I think they have done away with 75% off...I also hit the dollar spot that was 70% off as well. I found lots of cute deals to snag.

Cars Stickers, Books, and Dry erase board $0.30 each!

Various Children Socks $0.30 each!I had to stock up on these. We never have enough socks?

Tissue Paper that doesn't seem Christmasy $0.60 each

Gift Tags $0.30 each

Hair Accessories $0.60 each.

Not too shabby, and it was fun doing some retail therapy!

p.s. Did you know that if you have a Starbucks in your Target you can use the Target gift cards to pay for Starbucks?? I JUST found that out!

I have been home sick not being able to do any shopping, but I knew there were some coupons ready to expire that I needed to redeem. Luckily my husband has been couponing with me enough times he knows how to get the deals I needed with ease. I had a John Frieda coupon that was going to expire today that I wanted to use since it was for a free hair dye! While my husband was at Walmart getting his battery changed out he did a little bit of shopping for me. Here is what I got...I mean he got:

I have a few posts that I have written about swagbucks that you can go through when you get a chance.

I just wrote about printing coupons from the Swagbucks home page and getting 10 Swagbucks for every one that I had used!

Walgreens 12/15 - Free Revlon

There was a mid-week sale that started on Wednesday at Walgreens. I knew that there were 2 free after RR this week and then the Revlon popped up Wednesday making everything free or

nearly free. I am a sucker for free nail polish!

Here is everything I got:

First I bought the SalonPas Patch for $1 (get back $1RR) and the Goody Hair Bands $2 (get back $2) I paid $3 plus tax out of pocket and got back $3 in RR = FREE

Then I bought 1 Revlon Nail polish $3.99 used $1/1 coupon from Beauty Booklet = $2.99 I also bought a Frosty Sack for $0.13 as a filler. I paid with my $2 and $1 RR from the first transaction and $0.12 plus tax out of pocket and got back a $3 RR!

Then I did it over and over! It's a great deal and the only coupon I needed was the Walgreens one that you can use over and over again!
