Hijirik is a freelance graphic/web designer from NYC  that decided to jump into the business of hand letterpress printing and linoleum printing.  Recently releasing the 7th Edition of their hugely popular Live What You Love Letterpress,  the shop is almost sold out of all of their releases!

Limited to only 48 prints, each one of these 8 x10 prints is letterpressed hand using vintage wood type blocks on 110lb, 100% cotton Lettra Pearl White paper with soy-based ink.  What does all of that mean, you ask?  It’s couture quality while remaining eco-friendly!

While the frame is not included, it is a US Standard, meaning you can find one anywhere, including Big Lots or Target.  But know…the frame hugely accents the print!  To add to the specialness of each print, Hijiri has stamped her Japanese symbol as a signature on the back, as well as each one being numbered on the back.

Every once in a while, a device will come along that will change the way we do things. A device that will organically create a movement with us that can not be help down by corporate overlords and greed. The Twitterpeek is not that device. And with that in mind, I refuse to write a lenghty post about what it can (Twitter) and can not (ANYTHING ELSE) do. Gizmodo and Engadget were nice enough to review it. May God bless them.

I am not sure what to say about this, but I will say that I am a bit shocked by it. Lynsee, a mommy blogger, has decided to live stream her child birth. Now, people have put births on the internet before. It is a natural process and I am not trying to make this into a big deal or anything, but this just seems a little different to me.

Boston.com originally carried the story and reported the Lynsee, the 23 year-old mom to be, was approached by Moms Like Me and asked to blog about her pregnancy. In addition, they asked her to live stream the pregnancy. After a quick chit-chat with the hubby, it appears that she got the go ahead. The camera crew has been instructed to keep it clean and tasteful. Not exactly sure how that is going to work.

If you are interested in watching the process, Lynsee is due on November 19.

As a kid, I was into comic books…but nothing like my brothers and some of my cousins.  In fact, I don’t know a man who didn’t dream of being a comic book hero as a kid [and sometimes still as an adult].  Well, Marvel has a surprise for your inner child, allowing you to create your own Comic Book and/or Strip!  Check it out here.

Way back in another lifetime, I was a PC user, and found myself with the blue screen on more than one occasion.  Pulling my hair out, I was often left with no choice but to pay those Beetle driving Geek Squad guys an arm and a leg to recover data on my machine [hey...those dorm room Halloween photos are priceless].
