The youtube user 4b42 released a nice german screencast in HD about the installation of NagiosQL for Icinga. As I said it's in german only, but nevertheless a good explanation for all german users having problems with the first steps in NagiosQL. If you know of more of those helpful resources, please let us know.

NagiosQL 3.1.1 - Bugfix Release

If you are tired to find and add the hotfixes from the forum to your NagiosQL 3.1.0 installation, we have good news ;-) Yesterday we have released NagiosQL 3.1.1 to solve all currently known issues and update the translations as well. If you are starting with this release, please check the short instructions in the install/doc folder. Updating is easy, log out if you are currently working with NagiosQL, copy the new files over the old ones and backup your database before proceeding. The Installation Wizard will guide you through the process. Download NagiosQL 3.1.1 via our website or directly by using the integrated online version check.

NagiosQL 3.1.0

It's ready when it's done and now the time has finally come - Martin and I proudly present you the immediate release of NagiosQL 3.1.0. This release took about a year of hard development, much sweat, many many cups of coffee and uncountable hours at our weekends. We would like to thank our supporters, translators and beta testers spending their time for the project as well. Also we like to say thank you to our families for waiving the time with us ;-)

NagiosQL 3.1.0 will offer you some long awaited features, to point some out: Apache based authentication, Command Line Interface, Icinga compatibility, SSH/SFTP support and user/group permissions on object base. Starting with NagiosQL 3.1.0 we require at least PHP 5.2.0 to be installed. Read more for requirements and change details or download right away...

NagiosQL 3.1.0rc1 demo available

Good news, if you want to preview the new NagiosQL 3.1.0 version. We have just updated our demo system at http://demo.nagiosql.org with the first release candidate (rc1) of NagiosQL 3.1.0. We have still some minor fixes to solve, but we haven't found any serious bugs since the first beta. We are very confident to provide you the official release already in February. Please be patient, have a look at the demo system and if you find any bugs, please let us know via the forum. You can also speed up things, if you are able to help us finishing the translation at http://translate.nagiosql.org. Please note, that we have denied access to the administration menu at the demo website for security reasons, but everything else is open for your eyes :)

NagiosQL 3.1.0 beta2 starting soon

The NagiosQL Team likes to wish you and your family Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. This year was a new experience for us, the first half of the year we need to relax and solve some private issues, while the second half was full of new ideas and hard work. We had hoped finishing NagiosQL 3.1.0 within 2010, but we still need to sort out some security issues and some small bugs occurred during the beta. We are currently planning to release Beta-2 during the next week and hopefully the stable in the beginning of January 2011. Thank you all for your patience and cooperation. 2011 will be a year of changes, for us and for the project itself. Hope you will enjoy it.

NagiosQL 3.1.0 closed beta started

NagiosQL 3.1.0 closed beta started. Today we have started to deliver NagiosQL 3.1.0b1 to all beta testers. I hope to get a quick response from all involved translators to achieve the 100% for all languages we already had in the past versions. If you want to help, have a look at http://translate.nagiosql.org and send me an email if you are able to add or complete a translation! We are currently still inviting all of the helpers in the past and of course our donators. We would be happy to release the final as soon as possible, but we need your help.

We would like to let you know that our Website donation module is accepting donation again. It seems we had some problems after an update and a required field could not be filled accordingly (thx to flappes, reporting this). If you are interested in supporting the project and getting the first beta of NagiosQL 3.1.0, please spend some money and you will be on our list. The money will be taken to buy some books, visiting workshops and conferences or just to buy some commercial Website improvements. cimt ag continues hosting effort for NagiosQL

The German IS consulting company cimt ag is continuing their effort in NagiosQL and renewed the hosting contract with us. For the next 3 years, we will have our "own" server running XEN OS and we will be able to add as many virtual machines as we like. For the moment we have only our Web-/Subversion server and our demo server running on this machine, but we are planning to build our own test machines, for an automatic test management (we are still looking for volunteers with Selenium experience or some other test management tool). In exchange we are just giving them access to our beta files.

NagiosQL 3.0.4 released

As previously announced, today we have released (hopefully) the last version before the upcoming major release 3.1.0. NagiosQL 3.0.4 is fixing a security hole (XSS vulnerability) and adding Portuguese as official supported language. There are also some bugs fixed, but don't expect to much, as we have closed most of the known bugs in NagiosQL 3.1.0, because those were dependent from some other features as well.
