To Attend ….The Discovery Class

May 6th – June 17th @ 9:45 a.m.
This class will consist of seven (7) subjects designed to help you grow in your Christian walk and learn more about our National and local Church work. It will be taught by Pastor David White during the Sunday School hour, beginning May 6th. For more information contact the church office or Pastor David.

#1. “Jesus, Who is He?” (Biblical truths on the person, nature and work of Jesus Christ.)

#2. “Going Up?” (Assurance of Salvation and the Role of the Holy Spirit.)

#3. “What is a Baptist?” (Understanding the role of Baptists in World Evangelization.)

#4. “What about this Church?” (The structure, organization and priorities of MVBC.)

#5. “What do you mean by stewardship?” (Understanding Biblical truths concerning your time, talent and treasure.)

Join Pastor Ron and the Youth on Wednesday nights at 7:00 p.m. beginning on February 29.

The Great Egg Hunt – Updated

The Great Egg Hunt will be on Saturday, March 31st. Activities will begin at 1:30pm. There will be lots of games, prizes, inflatables, food, and fun! This is a free community wide event. Please invite all of your family and neighbors to join us!

We are needing plastic eggs, candy, and small toys. Please put all donations in the blue tote labeled The Great Egg Hunt located in the Welcome Center. Chips, pop, and desserts. We are also needing volunteers to help with the egg hunt, prepare food, work game stations and sign in table, and clean up.

CPR Class

On Saturday, March 10th from 9am-12pm there will be a CPR Certification Class offered in the church gym for all Nursery, Sunday School, Children’s Church, Kids on Mission, Awana, and VBS workers. We would like to have as many people that are not already certified, in this class. Please email or see Lisa Cunningham (ldcunningham34@gmail.com or 304-421-7691) to sign up or for more information. If you are already certified, please get a copy of your certification to Ashley Slone to be put on file.

Anyone connected with MT.VERNON BAPTIST CHURCH… Friends, members, non-members – We have another great two-day opportunity to include you in our new Pictorial Directory for the church…this is very important and you are very important to us. You can easily schedule your photo session on February 14 Tuesday or the 15th Wednesday from 2-9 pm either day. Your session will only take about 10 minutes, you have the option to see your pictures immediately and purchase some if you wish but you will also receive a free 8 x 10 and you will be in the New Directory. Please all new friends and those considering Mt.Vernon, have your pictures taken I ask.
