Muse to Return to Poland

Muse will return to Poland this summer to headline the Coke Live Festival on Saturday 21st August. The festival takes place at the Polish Aviation Museum and tickets are on sale now!

Muse to Headline Vieilles Charrues

We're pleased to announce that Muse will be headlining the Vieilles Charrues festival in Carhaix, France on Thursday 15th July 2010!

XFM Salutes Muse

XFM will be dedicating the coming weekend to yours truly.

All weekend on Xfm we�ll be playing Muse�s best tracks, treasured album cuts and gems from their many b-sides. When it�s all said and done, is there a better band in the UK � or the world � at the moment? Nay, nay and thrice nay.

So, as well as packing our schedules with huge, supermassive, OTT space-rock gems, we�ll also be playing one of the band�s triumphant Wembley Stadium shows in The Live Hour at 8pm on Sunday.

Muse No Longer On Eclipse?

In an interview with Doesca.ca, Dom says that the song promised for the new Twilight sequal, Eclipse, will no longer be used.

Muse to Write London Olympics Theme?

During Monday's Radio 5 breakfast show, it was revealed that Muse may write the theme music for the 2012 London Olympics.

Muse and Bono at Glasto?

Muse's Matt Bellamy has said he wants the band to be joined onstage by Bono at their Glastonbury headline set on June 26.

Speaking to NME Radio at last night's Shockwaves NME Awards, Bellamy said he is thinking about asking the U2 frontman � who headlines Glastonbury the night before Muse on June 25 � if he'll be sticking around for the whole weekend.

"It should be great," Bellamy explained. "We're hoping to do something a bit unusual there. A little collaboration with someone, maybe get Bono to come and sing a song. I'm not sure if he'll be hanging around for that but I'll ask him anyway."

Meanwhile, in a video interview you can watch on the right of your screen, Bellamy and bandmate Dom Howard gave their reaction to being named hottest male and second hottest male at last night's Shockwaves NME Awards.

The duo revealed that Muse's fans had been taking a particular interest in voting for that award, and Bellamy - who won � was ecstatic to have picked up the title over his bandmate.

"That's fucking brilliant," he declared, before hailing the band's "crazy fans" for voting.

"He [Howard] was ahead for ages and I thought he was gonna win, but then I won it. Fucking hell, there you go!"

Ren�e Fleming to cover 'Endlessly'

Ren�e Fleming, one of the world's most famous opera soprano's, will make a new album, consisting of covers of pop and rock bands. One of these bands will be Muse. Fleming is planning to cover 'Endlessly'. Other songs on the album are covers of 'Intervention', by Arcade Fire, 'Hallelujah', by Leonard Cohen and 'With Twilight as My Guide', by The Mars Volta

Muse have won Best British Band and Best Website at this year's NME awards

Matt Bellamy spoke to NME, "We always come - it's the best awards show because you always have bands playing. That makes the difference. Looking forward to seeing Kasabian. The live award? It's time for us to fade away and let some of the young guns go through. I don't think we'll win it - it'll be Kasabian or Arctic Monkeys."

Muse Respond to WMG Plans

Muse bassist Chris Wolstenholme has revealed his band's disappointment in their record label's decision to stop licensing acts on the company's roster for free streaming services such as Spotify and We 7.

Earlier this month Warner Music CEO Edgar Bromfman announced that none of the label�s artists' future releases would be licensed to the services, as "free streaming services are clearly not positive for the industry" - although already-available back catalogues would remain.

The Devon band, who are one of the biggest acts on Warner Music � also home to REM and Red Hot Chili Peppers - argued that the decision will take their music, and the music of their labelmates, away from the ears of potential fans.

Wolstenholme told BBC Newsbeat, "It�s like taking your song off the radio, isn�t it? The corporations are setting the rules on these things because they�re clutching at straws. They�ve lost so much money on record sales because of the internet."

He added, "As far as bands are concerned, you just want people to hear your music whichever way they can."

Muse to play Oxegen festival along with Eminem, Jay-Z, Black Eyed Peas, Kasabian, The Prodigy, Florence and the Machine and more. The festival takes place from Friday the 9th of July to Sunday the 11th at Punchestown Racecourse.

Official Muse iPhone App

Warner Music Group today released a Muse iphone app to apple's app store which can be found here.

The app includes music, video and artwork from The Resistance, interchangable app skins, access to music videos, an interactive map and camera enabling users to take, tag and publish photos from Muse gigs on the go, plus fully integrated forum, RSS feeds (including yours truly!), tour calendar and more!

Sing with Muse on Stage

Muse are looking for a few lucky fans to sit in on the final dress rehearsal for the show on Friday February 26. As amazing as that may be, it gets better. Muse recently hit the road in Australia, performing a cover with Nic Cester of Jet each night of one of their favorite songs, AC/DC's 'Back in Black'. Now they want to do that song with you. Yes, its live band karaoke with the biggest band in the world backing you up.

Interested? Of course you are. Here's what you gotta do:

1. Record a video of you singing 'Back in Black'. Creativity is encouraged but not necessary.

2. Upload the video to YouTube and send the link to contests@99X.com with 'MUSE' in the subject. Deadline for videos is 12noon on Wednesday February 24th.

3. We'll select ten finalists. Thursday the 25th the finalists will head to Wild Wing Cafe Alpharetta, where we'll have a live band backing you up as you try to impress our music professional judges with your rendition. One grand prize winner will be rocking out Friday night with Muse as their backup band. If you don't get picked as a finalist, we will pull a few people from the WWC crowd to give it a shot too.

Muse to Cover John Lennon

Muse were interviewed by BBC 6Music during the Music Producers Guild Awards event, and releaved interesting plans for their performance at Glastonbury:

"Hopefully we'll get Eavis onstage. Get him to sing Imagine by John Lennon. It's 30 years since he died or something so we are going to try and put all those things together and get the wise farmer to sing some very wise words." - Matt.
