Disc Herniation

As Murrieta Chiropractors Dr Hoyt explains how spinal disc herniation, incorrectly called a “slipped disc”, is a condition affecting the spine, in which a tear in the outer, fibrous ring on an intervertebral disc allows the soft, central portion to bulge out. Degenerative disc disease makes the disc more susceptible to herniation (rupture) which can lead to localized or radiating pain. The pain from degenerative disc or joint disease of the spine is usually treated conservatively with rehabilitative excercises, gentle chiropractic adjustments and non-surgical spinal decompression.
