Buying stocking stuffers for tween girls is lots of fun. They’ll love anything that is cute, colourful, smelly (nice smelly) and fun! Some things that would be great for a tween girl’s stocking would be:

I’m a day late with my Sunday Stumbles. I’ve been busy editing photos from the wedding that we did on the weekend. It’s been a crazy week so I only stumbled a few sites this time:

Peta from 7 little heads on 7 little beds shared her recipe for layered taco casserole a few weeks ago. We made it last week and it was a hit with the kids and definitely one recipe that we’ll be making again.

I’ve had a spa/jacuzzi on my wish list for a while now but I think that one of these portable spas would be pretty cool. Renting our home means that we can’t install a permanent spa so this would be perfect for us!

I love reading and I love lists! So this list of 100 Best Novels brings my two favs together LOL I’ve bookmarked this site so I can work through reading the books on this list that I haven’t read yet.

I love the idea of the journal jar and notebook as a gift! I wouldn’t mind making one of these for myself too

While going through what I’ve already bought I noticed that I didn’t have a lot for the toddler’s stocking. So I did some brainstorming about what else I could fill her stocking with:

• dried fruit

• bath squirt animals

Can you think of anything else that would be good for a toddler’s stocking?

I like to keep the magic of Santa alive during Christmas and it was all good in our old house because we had a fireplace with a chimney that Santa could come down.

But in this house there is no fireplace so we had to think of another way that Santa could come in on Christmas Eve, put the gifts under the tree and enjoy the cupcake and glass of milk that we always leave out for him.

So what will we do?

We’ll get ourselves a magic Santa key like this one or this one or maybe even make one like this!

I often buy bottled water when I’m out and I’m also guilty of reusing the bottle by refilling it with normal tap water. But when I read about the possibility of chemicals from the petroleum plastic bottles leaking into the water, I quickly stopped doing that.

Having one less thing to worry about at Christmas always helps because it’s such a crazy time of year!

So I take advantage of the pre-paid Christmas hampers that Chrisco and Castle offer. This year’s delivery will be the Traditional Hamper which has everything that we need for Christmas Day. My only problem is that I need to make room for it all in our freezer and pantry!

Being able to pay a small amount each fortnight throughout the year is so much better than having to fork out a couple hundred dollars in one hit for Christmas lunch!

What a dope!

I received a letter from the RTA today reminding me to renew my driver’s license which was due 18 OCTOBER!

I had been driving with an expired license since then! OMG!!! I freaked out when I read the letter and have refused to get in the driver’s seat, and won’t be, until I can get to the RTA to renew it.

Bugger! That means that Bill will have to be the designated driver at the wedding on the weekend! LOL

I {heart} eBay! Especially when I find, and WIN, an awesome bargain like these:
