Sr. Storage Solutions Engineer The Storage Solutions Engineer role includes both customer billable and pre-sales technical support activities. The engineer must have the ability to develop comprehensive Storage solutions for our clients based on detail analysis of the business and technical requirements. This includes gathering key business and technical requirements, developing Storage architecture and design, implementing and configuring Storage products. The Storage Solutions Engineer must have excellent oral and written communications skills with minimum of 3 + years of Tape, Disk and Tivoli Storage Manager experience. The engineer must have a good understanding of IBM and HP Disk and Tape and Storage Area Network products such as Cisco and Brocade. IBM and/or HP certifications are preferred but not required. Ability to travel up to 50%. Key Job Duties: Assist with pre-sales activities to help educate customers in Storage technologies that MSI offers Analyze customer business and technical requirements Prepare and deliver customer presentations and product demonstration Develop work services estimate, design and Statement of work Provide technical response to RFI/RFP Maintain customer relationships as a trusted Technical Advisor Develop Enterprise Storage architecture and design Install, maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot complex Storage infrastructure problems Work independently on multiple projects in diverse customer environments Key Qualifications: Minimum of two years technical pre-sales support for IBM disk, tape and Tivoli Storage Manager products and/or services. Minimum of 3 years of hands on experience in IBM and/or HP and Tivoli Storage Manager products Have a good understanding of IBM and HP Disk and Tape storage portfolios and Cisco and Brocade Storage Area Networking products.
