Hi everyone! This week I wanted to take a second look at movies in stitch – a sequel, if you will. Let’s get this thing rolling!

Penny Nickels made these pillows featuring Klaus Kinski and Werner Herzog. She pointed me in the direction of this clip from the movie My Best Fiend, Herzog’s documentary about their relationship. Now, even though Kinski is no longer with us, they can be together forever in pillow form!

Ok, I know I am not alone here – I know there are more of you out there that love the movie Clue. At the very least, there is weird_lover_wilde on Craftster, who made this embroidery referencing this wonderful scene.

This lovely stitch was made by effingboring. Sound familiar? If not, check out this scene from the awesome Blazing Saddles.

Oh, Breakfast Club. You taught the children of the 80’s lessons about valuing people for what they are. You also taught us this new term for nerd! Thanks, Spamberly, for stitching it up!

This line from the movie They Live has been named one of the best movie lines ever – mostly by people posting clips of the scene on youtube, granted, but still. Fiberartsy did an awesome job interpreting the seriousness of the statement in stitch. Check out the scene for yourself here.

Who doesn’t love Pee Wee’s Big Adventure? It’s one of my favorite movies, and if you haven’t seen it, here’s a taste. This portrait of Pee Wee Herman from GigglyMama is not only awesome, it also acted as payment for her amazing embroidery themed tattoo – read about that here.

Julia Livi, like a lot of people, is absolutely hooked on Mad Men right now. This shows in her latest project.

She doodled and embroidered on this GQ magazine cover featuring January Jones, one of the stars of the show. There’s so much detail, I would really love to look at this in person. As I was composing this post, I noticed that seamlessgem’s original post was transferred from the Needlework section to the Machine Embroidery section that resides under Sewing in Craftster. I think this serves as a reminder to people who (like me) tend to live in one section of the forum – there’s a lot of amazing things to be see in the other sections, too. From now on the pick of the week might be from any section in the forums – just as long as it was made with a needle of some sort.
