Four days left.

Tonight, I’m suppose to be packing. Instead, I’m eating ice cream, watching Castle and drinking a glass of wine.

It’s been a rough day. Random things throughout the day, layer upon layer just being crappy.

Including learning that the book I preordered a while ago (the amazing Elizabeth Messina’s The Luminous Portrait) was going to be delivered next week….and if I changed the address so it would arrive to the new address, it would take even longer. So I canceled the order, figuring I’d just get it at Barnes and Noble on the way home. Yeah, Receiving didn’t even know which box they were in.

It helped. That I discovered she did the cover to Portland Bride & Groom. So I got to enjoy her images anyway!

Add into it the joy of being a woman and light food poisoning from the chili at Sweet Tomatoes, and I’m done.

So I’m taking a day off. Breathing and enjoying my daughter being in a good mood tonight, watching Dragon Tales quietly in her Minnie Mouse dress. The sounds of Ryan watching TV in the bedroom. Remembering the blessings I have in my life.

Last night, we all got to sleep around 8 which was wonderful since all three of us were tired. The unfortunate thing with that is that she woke up early. Most weekday mornings, she doesn’t wake up until we get to the babysitter’s house. Today though, she snuck into the bathroom while I was showering. Her hand over her eyes to keep the light out of it, she turned off the fan (“too loud, momma!”) and asked if we were going to the new house now.

After explaining to her again that it was still several sleeps until we would be going to the new house, I convinced her to go pick out what she wanted to wear for today.

I get out of the shower to find her with piles of clothes laying around her as she is sorting through everything.

She found what she wanted to wear.

Forgive the dramatic forhead pose. And the messy pantry behind her. Let’s concentrate on the outfit my darling baby girl picked out.

For the day, she added on a pink zip up sweatshirt.

Oh, and she picked out my clothes too. Rocking my styling pink heels today!

Needless to say, I am still wearing those shoes!

What was I thinking?!?

Granted, we’ll have 30 days still with our current apartment in order to fully finish moving out, but our official move in day where we move big things will be the 28th of April.

“Wait, you’re moving?” you might be saying to yourself…granted, since I haven’t been writing as often as I would like to, yes….we are!

We are moving back to my hometown. We’ll be closer to my parents, which is going to give me amazing peace of mind.

In addition, we are moving from a 2 bedroom apartment to a 3.5 bedroom farm house. With a garage that will be an amazing studio. Oh yeah, and it’s right across the street from a park.

Things are working out the way God wants them to. We are blessed. Now, I just need to breathe so that I can get all packed up.

Holy cow, I’m insane…..

But at least I’ll have a cute photographer to get the evidence!

Her favorite color is pink, she loves getting her nails and makeup done and would wear at least one dress, if not 3 every day if she had enough.

So when she found one of my dresses in a pile of folded clothes she just had to put it on. Of course, it’s not even close to her size….but we made it work. Even if it was backwards.

She even ASKED me to take pictures of her.

I love that a knee-length dress on me becomes a formal dress with a train on her.

She looked so beautiful and so happy.

I can’t wait until we get to go dress shopping for real. Then again, never mind. I want her to stay my baby forever….

In this outfit, there is a sundress that her papa and nana got her when they were in Hawaii, a silver tutu from Christmas pajamas two years ago, a brown corduroy skirt and plaid pants from a friend and shoes also from a friend. Underneath her pants, she also has a pair of pink striped leggings with seahorses on them.

Overall, a very common outfit in our house!

Life has been crazy. For the past 6 months, I’ve been working four jobs. Now, at 30, I’m down to only 3 and they are all separate options in the photography industry.

I get off my main full time job at 3:30 and have the rest of the day and the full weekend to do my other two jobs (photography and business consulting and helping other photographers).

This also means I get to spend more time with my amazingly inspiring husband and incredibly crazy daughter.

The two of them love each other so much and I am so happy I get to see them more often!

I love these two! So much.

And now that I have more time, I’ll be able to post more and be around your blogs more too! Hurray!

I’ll find something and repin it and think about what it means to me. It’s crazy how accurate and honest some of the pins are.

I look back at the past few years and know that God is working in my life. Everything that has happened has happened at the time it needed to happen. If Ryan had to have a stroke, that was the time to do it. Everything was in the situation it needed to be in order to allow things to work how they needed to.

So I feel blessed. Continuously. Thankful for the people in my life, the opportunities that have happened and inspiration that I am able to discover.
