Since we've probs all head some Watch the Throne, or at least tell me you've watched the Otis music video (it's steeze-tastic) then I thought I'd throw up my fav two from the collection, although I'd argue each and everyone a fav in various ways... I'm curious, I've heard many mixed reviews on this album, and I'm not sure if there's something I'm missing or if haters are just gunna hate on something cuz it's mainstream. The album is extremely well produced, maybe they took it too far in some situations, but the quality I think is superb for a hip hop album.

After giving 4 another chance I decided I liked it... I always find with Beyonce's albums they need a few run throughs before the repetitive hooks stop being annoying and become kinda catchy, the albums fun, about her favourite topic - Love - but really, does she sing about anything else? Not that I don't like it, I'm a sappy 14 year old underneath it all... I just find it rather humorous. My fav song is probs Love on Top (click to watch), which she performed at the VMA's havin a cute little belly rub after to acknowledge the swagger-filled child in her belly, you should really watch it, even when she's pregnant she can work the stage like no other mother.

Just to continue this Will Ferrell theme I have goin on here. When K-os's Anchorman Mixtape this track was talked about as much as his drizzy drake track. I thought forsure it'd be a radio jam... it seems only this summer is it beginning to pop up on local radio stations. It's a really good track co written by Ryan Dahle who describes the song like "religious heroin private jet hybrid with open bar..."

Tyler The Creator came out with a Summertime mixtape... I must say its extremely enjoyable. He alters some songs, like slowing down I Get Around and Frontin, which surprisingly really works out and adds in his little blurbs about the songs. This will be over played no doubt. It's got a soulful/Blues/indy/smooth hip-hop vibe, perfect for a hot afternoon with a glass of lemonada! GET INTO IT!

So I've been neglecting you for far too long. Its getting out of hand. Its come to the point where its almost like I can't write anything cause its been so long. You know that awkward phase when you havent talked to someone in so long, and you feel like if you do they'll just be mad at you for it being so long, so you avoid it. That's what I've been doing, but the most pathetic part about it all is that I'm technically the only person who my lack of attention to this bad boy has effected, as I know very few people who actually read this. I recently saw the end of Lykke Li's set when she played here in Toronto at the Pheonix. To say the least it was amazing. She's amazing. What I would do to have that kinda steeze. Her most recent album Wounded Rhymes is just bomb. Its a little more mellow than her last, less dancy jams n more chillaxers/alternative electronic jams. I'm into it.

My favs are Get Some and Love Out Of Lust... heres a nice lil remix for you. GO GET THE ALBUM.

What I'm trying to say is every song is radio appropriate, but that doesn't mean I dont enjoy it. I must say that my favourite is the one featuring John Legend - Never Forget You, but I'm sure that one's been overplayed by now. HIs flow switches up quite a bit in the different songs but I like the electronic R&B stteeezzee that MDMA contributes to the mix! Checkkk it out.

As you may know, yesterday rapper Nate Dogg passed away at the age of 41. Exactly a week after the death of Hip Hop Legend B.I.G., the cause of his death is unknown.

I remember falling inlove with his steeze when I heard him on the hook of Tupac's "Thugs Get Lonely Too", his voice bringing humour to the song, easing Tupac's aggressive flow. He's also worked with top Hip Hop artists such as Snoop, 50 Cent, Eminem, Warren G, Dr. Dre. He had a humorous n light hearted style when he rapped and was famous for his smooth hooks in some of Hip Hop's biggest songs.

He will be greatly missed, RIP Nate Dogg.

Obviously Mike Posner covers one of my favourite songs, Adele's Rolling In the Deep. It's killer. He some how did an amazing job, considering how powerful that song is. He also has little samples of her voice thrown in the mix so it's fabulous.

Jazz Pianist Robert Glasper has a resident spot at New Yorks Blue Note Jazz Club. On February 27th, Lupe joined him for a little show before a concert at the Music Hall of Williamsburg. Kanye West and Mos Def joined him for a two man cipher that has got my mind blown. Two of my favourite rappers. I'm happy about it. Mos Def kills it, at first Kanye seems to be slacking a little bit, but it gets much much better once he gets his flow going.

It's pretty aggressive, the video is badass, his flow is incredible, his content is jokes, almost scary. I think this kid needs some professional help, he claims he has a therapist so I guess he's on the right track. He's only 19, born in 1991, clearly angry as shit. At least he has an outlet for the aggression, some how it works pretty well in his favour.... I wasn't sure if I should post it, but I've been seeing it everywhere! Kanye even tweeted it calling it the video of the year. Big tings for such a lil guy.
