Looking for hybrid car dealers? In this article I cover the topic in the following sections. First, I discuss how hybrid car buying works. Second, I talk about hybrid car brands. Next, I talk about online car purchasing deals. Lastly, I talk about buying hybrid cars through classified advertisements and your local car dealer.

Introduction

As more people are becoming open to the technology of hybrid and as more consumers actually buy such kind of cars, the more people are also being curious on how they can buy these cars. Although it may seem to b a new technology, finding cars like these isn’t really that hard to do. In fact, unknown to many, a lot of hybrid dealers are out there, just waiting to be asked for whatever car they have to offer.

How The Deal Works

In reality, buying this kind of vehicle is just the same as buying a regular car. Hence, there’s really no problem on where you should go or find deals; simply because they’re everywhere! Considering the popularity of hybrids nowadays, you wouldn’t have problems in spotting such kind of deals. So, here are some tips on where and how you could find different dealers that can suffice your hybrid needs.

It’s A New Thing

One thing that you should realize when hunting for a good environmental friendly car is that such kinds of models are relatively new. Hence, they could only be bought from stores that sell them first hand. It would be quite impossible or rather extremely rare for you to find them in stores that sell second hand vehicles. It would also be rare to find someone selling his/her second hand hybrid.

Nevertheless, the good thing is that new dealers are starting to stock them even more each day. This is especially true, since more people are now getting more curious about these vehicles and finding hybrid car dealers.

Starting With A Brand

Before heading out to look for dealers, it is recommended that you have a car brand in mind. In this way it would be easier to spot deals that are relevant to what you are looking for.

If you’re starting with a brand, there’s really not much to worry about since almost all manufacturers, such as, Toyota, Chevrolet, Nissan, BMW and Ford are all in this kind of industry already. In fact, such companies are getting more pressured each day to produce the best hybrid they can create due to the incessant need for alternatives to expensive fuel.

Searching For Hybrid Car Dealers Online

For starters, the Internet would be a pretty good place to start your search for various car deals. This would be highly recommended if you think you’re not up to getting sales talked yet by a car salesman. Additionally, this method would also be helpful in letting you know more first about the features that the vehicle you are eyeing for has.

Nowadays, car deals are very rampant in cyberspace. It is possible for you to find different Web sites on the Internet that has various offers for hybrid cars. In fact, you could even get different quotations for various dealers. However, you should understand that the key to getting a good deal online is by having good research skills.

Try your best to get to know more info on the car that you want. You could also compare and contrast vehicles that different manufacturers offer. It would also be helpful if you read reviews online, both by experts and consumers to get more realistic feedback with your research. Once you feel that you are well-informed and ready to face a salesman, all you have to do is contact the Web site that you are interested on inquiring with.

Explore Your Newspapers’ Classified Ads

One classic way of looking for hybrid car sellers would be your local paper’s classified ads. There are companies that advertise on papers and if they’re on your locality, then it would really be easy to drop by for a visit. However, you should be wary that you shouldn’t look on the second hand section of the ads, since as said earlier, most hybrids are not yet available in that kind of market.

Try Your Local Stores

If you’re looking for first hand experience, then you should try to observe your locality and see where you could find stores that sell cars. You could go directly to the manufacturer’s shop, if there’s any in your place or buy from hybrid dealers. Don’t hesitate to ask them if they have any promos or special offers, especially for hybrid vehicles.

Rhodes talks more about hybrid car dealers at Hybrid Cars, Hybrid Trucks and Hybrid Vans found at http://HybridCarsTrucksVans.com He also discusses hybrid motorcycles and hybrid minivans at that site, offering videos and advice on hybrid batteries and hybrid rental vehicles.

There are two things car dealers would like for you not to know. The first is how they are evaluated and the second is how they are rewarded. The evaluation process is based upon their sales goals. The dealership is given annual sales goals to meet and they are on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. The number of sales set forth in these goals will ultimately effect the dealer and make a difference on the price you are quoted for a new car.

This is very important to keep in mind, when looking for a dealership. At the end of each month there are some dealers still trying to meet their goals, while others have already reached or even gone past them. Research on reputable Internet sites like http://Edmunds.com and http://Automotive.com will give you a better perspective about which dealers are trying to meet their sales goals, and will most likely sell you at car at or below the invoice price.

The Customer Satisfaction Index is another factor involved in evaluations. The CSI ratings are taken from surveys sent out after a car has been purchased. One company that surveys customer’s opinions is J.D. Power and Associates. They typically send out a questionnaire or contact you over the phone, taking information that will help shape the direction of car dealer’s future business.

The opinions towards the car buying experience and dealership overall are very important. Be aware when dealing with salespeople, some might try and influence your answers on this survey. Keep this in the back of your mind when you are negotiating your new auto purchase. Consider taking the time to complete this survey. You will have an effect on the Customer Satisfaction Index, and ratings toward dealerships.

Dealers will be rewarded based up their performance on these surveys, their CSI ratings and if they reached their sales goals. The results of the CSI ratings can have a big impact on the car dealership. This will determine any incentives paid to the dealers, if the dealers are invited to car auctions and if the dealership is able to expand their business. If a dealership scores low in its evaluations it will be very costly in the long run.

A big source of income for dealerships is car auctions. By obtaining cars at cheap prices they are able to sell them for a profitable amount. It can work against them though, if they depend too much on auctions and shift their focus off selling new cars that will ultimately hurt their sales goals. Dealers will receive rewards from manufacturers when their sales goals are met. The dealer would like to reach their goals, and then some every month. It will not only benefit themselves, but their dealership. And if you do your research and choose a dealer who is ahead for the month, it will ultimately help you.

Through manufacturer-to-dealer incentives dealers might receive as much as $100,000. These incentives are not usually made known to the public, but through internet research you might be able to find out what some dealers receive. Dealers would like to keep this information to themselves as best as possible.

From the moment you walk into the typical car dealership the salespersons job is to land you on a car, talk you into taking it today and paying to much for it. They don’t want you to leave and go to next dealer and compare prices.

During the meet and greet the whole rehearsed process begins with finding out as much information about what kind of vehicle you have, how much you are paying now, if you are trading it in, what you want to pay for the new car, etc. etc.

After you drive and like the new car, the salespersons job is to have you pick one out on the lot, so you the customer gets emotionally attached and excited. Most people at this point can’t wait to take the vehicle home and show it to there friends and family.

Now the fun begins. The salesperson has already found out a lot of information from you during casual conversation and is now going to use it to sell you the car for the most profit possible.

If you the customer have done some research and your goal is to buy the car as close to invoice price (dealer cost) then the dealer just lowers your trade in price or increases interest rates. This will take back the savings you have gotten by lowering the selling price, but chances are they have made some or the entire discount back in another way. There are many ways for dealers to make money besides the selling price of the vehicle.

This whole negotiating process can take hours of your time. That is also part of the strategy to wear you down to the point that all you want to do is sign and get it over with. And if all this did not get you the price or payment that you wanted, then comes in the managers (closers) to wear you down some more and use lines like” I just talked to the owner and got the ok to sell it to you at cost”, “We will lose money on this deal but we need one more sale today”. And so on.

The bottom line is that unless you are one skilled negotiator and have done all the research, it is going to be impossible to know for sure whether you got a good deal or not.

For every hour of research you do, the professional sales person has weeks of training.

Looking at dealership profit on sales from vehicle to vehicle one can see that many more customers pay to much versus those who get fair deal.

How often do you hear of a deadly Volvo car accident? Not very often. They are well known for the safety and have been since day one. It is one of the few manufacturers that actually design their vehicles as sexy and safe. You hardly get the two in such an ideal package. Many people are buying Volvos because of this fact. With the overwhelming amount of fatal car crashes that occur everyday, it’s no wonder why consumers are now looking for a safe place to be while driving on the road. Manufacturers of other car makes are noticing this sudden increase in this safety trend and are beginning to design their vehicles more reliably.

Ford for instance, acquired Volvo car corp. in 1999 and have since then been using their connection with Volvo to raise its safety profile in the auto industry. The auto safety field is very competitive because of the increase in consumer awareness and consumers starting families earlier. When you have children and a spouse your taste in cars change drastically. You no longer want that two-seater or that car with the Lamborghini doors. You want a vehicle that can comfortably fit everyone and that will keep them safe.

If you have ever gone to a car show to see concept cars, then you have noticed that Volvo always has a really great vehicle with safety always in mind. For instance the rear view mirror senses when cars behind you get to close and if any cars are in your blind spot. These are known as active rearview mirrors. The mirror is connected to the sensors on the rear of the Volvo. When cars get too close an acoustic warning is augmented. This is a great practical design concept.

Another great idea that Volvo has are adaptive headlights. The headlights monitor the car’s speed and the steering wheel movements. While the car is driving fast, the headlights switch to a mode where you will be able to see in long distances ahead – with longer light beams. And at lower speeds, the beam is shorter. It even adjusts during turns, widening as you go. This great technology is possible through the use of fiber-optic methods.

The best so far is the night vision. Most people don’t see well at night and require glasses. It has been proven that red lights are easier to see in a dim environment. Utilizing that fact, Volvo makes another good grade in the safety department. Combined with the adaptive headlights, older drivers tend to feel more comfortable driving at night. Not only is this good for safety but it also moves the buyer metrics higher since people feel more comfortable driving and tend to buy at least one more new car in their lifetime. With Volvo’s infrared night vision, no one would have to worry about those winding dark roads.

Volvo safety has been a concept for its manufacturer since the beginning and it doesn’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon. Where as some manufacturers rely on gimmicks to sell cars, Volvo has built the reputation as the safest car around. So if you are looking to get a truly safe car with a wonderful track record, Volvo just may be for you.

You may have noticed that the truck market has become very hot lately. It seems that you don’t have to have construction type jobs to own a truck these days. In the past foreign trucks struggled with quality issues. Now a days all manufacturers have stepped up in quality and have produced their own profitable truck market segment.

The Toyota Tundra was previously known as a light-weight duty truck, but since 2007, the Tundra has upped the heavy-duty competitive bar. Toyota has also started an aggressive branding of their tundra line to compete more aggressively with American car manufacturers. By keeping the brand in front of the customer you slowly begin to program potential buyers into the fact that there is a better truck out there, and you don’t always have to buy American to get the best product. There newest commercials show the trucks being used by hard working laboring men in various jobs. This promotes some pride in the job and shows that it is ok to have a foreign truck doing an American job. This not only helps the bottom line for sales but also spurs on the transition from the industrial age to that of a global economy.

If you’re looking to buy a truck that is affordable and reliable, then Toyota might be the dealer to call on. The Toyota Tundra is well known for it’s heavy duty utility features and is appealing to many middle class families. Many people who work in the construction field look to buying a Toyota truck because of its quality. Heavy duty features are also promoted in television commercials which help you realize the quality design built into the truck. In the past foreign trucks did not always mean quality, just a lower price. They never really had a good reputation.

The Tundra also has 4 wheel drive, meaning that all wheels roll, verses the 2 wheel drive, where the two back tires push the front. You can buy a Tundra with different engines, so depending on how much torque you are looking for and how much heavy duty work you do, you will need to decide if you want a 4.7L V 8; 5.7L V8; or a 4.0L V 6. The lower the liters you get, the less oil you will have to worry about and the less gas it’ll burn. So if you do construction work and are looking for something that can survive toting around heavy tools, then you may only need a 4 liter. But if you are really into the construction field and are moving around large chunks of wood, heavy machinery and such, you may want to look at the 4.7L engine.

Besides the Toyota Tundra, there is the option of buying a Toyota Tacoma. This is truly a light-weight duty truck. There have been some changes to the Tacoma over the past few years and is now more spacious and comfortable to be in. The Toyota Tacoma pickup truck has 4 doors and a long crew cab. There are two choices of engines, the 4,0L V 6 or the 2.7L Inline 4. It can also tow up to 6,500 pounds.

Toyota manufacturers are known for producing quality vehicles and many people in the US love and purchase these Japanese owned vehicles. They are reliable and huge contender for Ford, Dodge and General Motors. If you’ve been thinking about getting a Toyota Tundra or Tacoma, you might be making a really good decision.

Buying a new or used car from a car dealership can be a daunting task. The Internet has made researching a car even easier than it was five years ago. There is a lot of good information out there and most buyers are more informed when walking into a dealer to buy a new or even a used car. Research is key. Knowing what sites to look at is also very important. Consumer Reports rates cars in a very stringent and efficient manner. If you follow their recommendations chances of you buying a reliable car are very high. Reliability is more important than looks or even price. Which car you buy now determines how much you spend keeping it up in the future.

Buying New

Knowing what the dealer pays is the first step in knowing what you can expect to pay. The smart guy wins in any negotiation. There is plenty of information out there that can tell you what the dealer pays from the manufacturer for the car. They will then tack on a lot of other pricing that brings it up to the Manufactures Recommended Sticker Price. They should really call it the dealers recommended sticker price, since this the price they would hope you will pay.

I always print out the vehicles that I have found and the price that is in print. Not too much can be argued with when you have it in writing. Also be respectful. Today’s salesmen are not the typical stereo types of the past. Although they will take your money, most of them know that they have to retain a good reputation since they most likely live in your town. Don’t be afraid to haggle and never take the first offer.

Buying used

The same research information advice for buying new cars applies for buying used. Always check the vin numbers of cars that your thinking about purchasing. It is very wise to get a car facts report to see if the vehicle has had any damage in the past. Dealers allow people to trade in older vehicles for new ones. They don’t give you the “best” price since they need to mark it up for profit. This is the area where you can negotiate. Used car sales are not the bread and butter of new car dealerships, so haggle.

General

Know what you want before you step one foot on the property. Pick out the model and make and even the color you like before visiting the dealer. You should already know exactly what you want before you ever step into the showroom. The only real reason to visit is to test drive the vehicle and do the paperwork. A salesman has a job to do, and that job is to not let you leave if he can sell you a car. Remember, it’s your money. Also figure out in advance how you want to finance the car. If you want to buy one with a promotion, make sure you know what your bank will finance and at what rate so that you can compare. The last part of the deal is trying to get you to buy add on services and products. Just know that is part of the game up front and be ready. Certain items are designed to play on the impulse purchase mentality.

If you do the research, then buying from the dealer is just a game. Play the game well and you will come out with a good deal. Use the Internet and all that it has to offer for research and you will be an excellent player.

New car research is much easier today then in the past. The use of the Internet has changed the way people buy cars. Not only with researching the cars, but in finding the availability of dealers vehicles and taking virtual tours of the vehicles. There are few items to keep in mind when getting ready to purchase a new car. These items will help your research go smoother.

Pick up a copy of consumer reports the car edition

Consumer reports rates cars every month, but that is going to take too long to read about three or four at a time. You need the addition that covers all the vehicles in one edition. This way you can have everything in one issue to get started. Start by looking through cars that you are interested in. Make sure you read through consumer reports ranking methods. One of the most important factors of their ranking system is their reliability report. If the car is a new model there will be no reliability information. Consider the source here and make a few assumptions. For example, if it’s a Honda or Volvo then you can assume that the reliability will be good. These vehicles always score high in this category. If it’s a dodge or Chrysler, then make a note. Those vehicles tend to report lower Reliabilities

Look at some details with a grain of salt

Here is what I mean by that. Gas mileage and performance are loosely based. If you live in florid and have the air conditioning on all the time, then your mileage is going to be less than what is advertised. A good practice is to at least subtract a mile per gallon from the reported statistic. This gives you a better idea of a realistic economy rating. If you drive mostly in the city this is very helpful since city mileage is always less than highway mileage.

Mark down prices and details

Compare the vehicles you are interested in and keep each on a separate piece of paper. By having them on a separate piece of paper you can make notes as you go along. Next go to the manufactures page and look up the model directly. Most sites now are highly interactive. You can take tours and see the car from every angle. This is good to do and will help you save some time from going to the dealer and doing this yourself. Keep in mind that the prices that you see on these sites should never be the price you are going to pay. If you were ignorant and walked into the dealer, this is where they would start. You need to know what the dealer pays (dealers invoice) then you can know where to start to negotiate. On each piece of paper right all this information down so you have it organized. Look at the prices of the options you are interested in and write those down as well. You should have a good idea what options cost . The reason is that you will go to the dealer and see a lot of cars in the lot. It can be overwhelming if you are not prepared. By knowing the model and options, you can work faster and accomplish your goal at the same time.

Now go to the dealer

After you have all your information, the real reason is to go and drive the vehicles. You need to make sure you like the way the car or truck rides and if it feels like a good fit for you. The process of decision is behind you at this point and you were able to make all your decisions at home where there is no pressure to buy anything. Ask the dealer what incentives are available from the manufacture. Make sure that you understand that the manufacturer gives you incentives but they also give the dealers incentives. That is their secret, they are going to get some sort of incentive to sell the cars and that you should keep in your back pocket. Some savy salesman may try to make you think he is not going to make anything on a deal if you low ball them. Carry your research paperwork with you and don’t be shy about having it. They will know that you did your homework and it helps at the bartering table.

At last take your paperwork and start to talk money. Be firm yet respectful and do not be afraid to walk away. For some reason there is a lot of back and forth in the negotiation process. Salesman have to steal away to ask their managers if they can sell for a certain price. When they come back and say that this is there last price, don’t be afraid to say its unacceptable. The business is highly competitive, they will try to sell you a car. If not, go to another dealer and start over. If you do your homework you will be much better off.

The Honda brand are some of the most popular and highest selling vehicles available today. It seems that every vehicle they make rates very high with buyers and they have developed a very good reputation. In the late eighties that was not the case. Some of the models had some reliability issues, but still there was a cult following. Since then a remarkable transformation has taken place. The quality has improved greatly and they have slowly invaded the coveted US market with great results. How do they do it?

Reliability

Honda vehicles have one of the highest reliability factors in the industry. Take the Honda Oddessy for example. This model minivan is always in high demand and you really could not get a deal when it came to price. Because the demand was high, the price stayed high. Still people paid because of the reputation. Today it is usually a shoot out between Toyota and Honda over the most reliable minivan market. Neck in neck is a good sign that there is quality there. Somehow the US automakers failed to realize that and deliver the product that the customers really wanted. Instead they stuck to the tried and true business plan that they have always dominated with in the past. Times are changing, we are firmly entrenched in a global economy. I would have to think that the good folks at Honda figure that one out earlier.

Style

Honda gets points for style and cutting edge design. In today’s market even smaller car companies have figured out that there is an edge to features. Honda has always led the way in giving the market solid cars with good engines and very practical features on the insides.

Price

Honda vehicles are not always the lowest priced vehicles. One reason is that they do not have to be. The financing promotions are not always the greatest either. Lately anything promoting less than 4.9% is very rare. Again the culprit is demand. Families today want value, and value is reliability. People use the Internet to research value and find out they are better off spending a little bit more and getting a better quality vehicle.

Innovation

Honda is not afraid to take chances and offer something no one has ever seen. Take the Ridgeline Truck series for example. The under the bed storage feature was a first in the industry. Ask any owner if he likes it and they may sit you down for a detailed story of how cool it really is. Another great feature of the truck is that it actually rides great, not like the typical truck. Seats that fold up in the rear give the truck some versatility that was missing in the market for a long time. Having the ability to put ones items in the back cab if it starts raining is a feature that sells itself. Honda proves that listening to their core market buyers pays off. The last feature is that the Ridgeline actually rides like a car. Imagine the fact that you can drive a truck that actually is a pleasure to drive. Ad in all the extra features and you have a vehicle that you will be proud to own.

Honda research is smart, they know their market. For this reason they will continue to dominate and you will see increased growth from this company. Any smart business would be smart to emulate them.

Picture this, your Uncle Tony drives up to your house in his brand new Cadillac Coupe DeVille circa 1972. It was a long as a Recreational Vehicle and drove as smooth as glass. It had a back seat that could hold a large family and an engine that was just as big. Every two years Uncle Tony bought a new one and proudly displayed it in the front yard. All of Tony’s friends had one too. The problem was, all of Tony’s friends were all senior citizens. They were the only demographic group that could afford the Cadillac luxury vehicle. You never ever saw a young man or woman driving the car, unless of course they were the parking valet. Slowly GM has figured out that the luxury market has a much wider demographic than it traditionally thought.

GM has stepped up to the plate to try and appeal to a whole new breed of luxury car owner. The Sporty CTS really delivers and has a lot of sex appeal. Just as important as having a good product, Cadillac backs it up with an aggressive marketing campaign. They install the good looks and luxury icon with the new middle class that can afford it. Having a good advertising campaign helps makes the car so appealing. The campaign drips a mixture of sexual overtones and performance. Interestingly there is not one reference to retirement or wealthy retired owners and their wives. Instead they focus on the trendy and successful younger crowd that is looking for luxury and appeal. Historically most people would skip the GM brand and move right to the foreign market. GM hopes to change this with the redesign and paradigm shift, so far its working.

You have been thinking of taking your car on a vacation this summer. But your car is 12 years old and you are concerned that it won’t hold up on a long drive. So, you have made the major decision to buy a new car. You’re all excited. Before you go to the dealer, I recommend you arm yourself with insider tips on buying a new car. After all, the last time you bought a new car you paid a lot more than your neighbor who bought the same car model from the same dealer.

Your neighbor knew those insider tips on buying a new car.

5 Insider Tips On Buying a New Car:

Be Prepared. Know the make and model you want. In fact, you should have 2 or 3 choices (from different manufacturers) in mind. Check out those automobile websites to find out what extras are available. Know list prices. Check frequency of repair ratings by the impartial consumer magazines. The consumer magazines also publish dealer costs, in separate publications. Buy them for the cars you are considering.

Know your credit rating. The dealer will tell you that your credit is not good or worse than it actually is. Check the rate that your bank will give you. Go to the dealer with that in writing . The last person you will deal with at the dealer is the finance manager, who will quote you a finance rate that is probably 2 to 3 percentage points higher than that which you can get from your bank.. This will give you room to bargain.

Know the trade in value of the car you are going to trade in. There are publications that are published several times per year with that information.

When Is The Best Time To Go To The Dealer? Go the last day of the month, when the salesperson has to fill a quota. In addition the manufacturer is looking at the dealer sales,as the dealer also has quotas. Also, do not go to the dealer on the weekends, when they are busiest.

Beware of monthly payment quotes from the sales manager. The Sales Manager will try to get you to agree to a monthly payment, rather than a total car price. The dealer will be taking your money on a monthly payment deal. You want to base the deal on the total cost of the car, mot the monthly payment.

Beware of extended warranties, as they are very expensive and full of conditions.

Remember, that everyone working at the dealer is there to take your money.

I have purchased many cars from compact cars to a Mercedes SUV. I’m sure that your experience with the car purchasing process has been similar to mine. I’ve been able to turn the process in my favor and save thousands by reading new insider car buying tips

I’ve saved thousands of dollars and you can, too, by checking out InsiderCarBuyingTips.info
