We are officially booked not once but twice in 2010 at Bay Lake Tower in Walt Disney World! I thought about booking our October trip at a different resort but I just can't get past the location of bay Lake Tower and how modern it looks - which at first, was something I wasn't sure I liked. Just take a peek at the living room in the villas:

So contemporary! Complete with plasma tvs too! All the comforts of home - and MORE! I can't wait to see this place for the first time!

I finally made dining reservations for our upcoming Disney vacation! One place we are going to try is the Cape May Cafe at Disney's Beach Club Resort. By the looks of it, I better just take my fat burner pills along on this trip! Not only is the Cape May Cafe a buffet but Beaches and Cream is also at the Beach Club Resort and well, you can get this there:

Disney Travel

We are less than 6 months away from our next Disney vacation!

We are going to drive down again. All this driving makes me think we should look into buying a motorhome! Hahaa! Then we'd need motorhome insurance as well. Actually, we really need to look into flying to Florida since we plan on going often.

Traveling for Medical Help

I never even heard of medical travel until I was reading something online about cheaper care in Mexico. I was like 'seriously? It's cheaper/better in Mexico?' Apparently lots of people travel abroad for medical procedures - it's more common than I thought! I am not so sure I would do this but then again, I guess it would depend on the severity of the situation.

Conjugated Linoleic Acid

I know, what are conjugated linoleic acids, right? Well apparently this is a healthy fatty acid your body needs for basic functioning. Most people have stayed away from it because it is a fatty acid but guess what? It has actually been known to burn fat at doses of about 300 mg!

Pretty interesting. I love the internet, I learn new things every day!

Just Not feeling It

We're almost 180 days from our next Disney vacation and I'm still 'thinking' about losing some weight for the trip. I am just not motivated. We have a treadmill and I KNOW using it for an hour a day will help me lose weight and I will feel better but I can't get myself to actually do it.

Maybe I need a different piece of equipment, like a dip machine to change things up a bit? I don't know - someone kick me in the butt!

Olivia had fall pictures taken at school already! I can't believe we are half way through October! I wish I would have taken a picture f her before she left for school that day - she had all kinds of jewelry on. I noticed she was even wearing one of my diamonds, which of course I promptly asked for!

She settled on wearing a nice necklace her daddy made for her. As soon as I get the photos back I will post them!

Countdown to Disney

Only 6 months and 16 days until we are back in Walt Disney World! I am so excited! I know, I say this every time we plan to go but it is truly a wonderful experience and an awesome time!

We are officially Disney Vacation Club members and so we'll be staying at Bay Lake Tower for the first time! Now, I know some of my friends who don't go to Disney often aren't interested in becoming DVC members or even staying in the park, so I know of some awesome orlando hotels to check out too! Just ask me!

Weight Loss Diet

I go in to weight loss mode in the Fall/Winter. I now more people seem to do that in the Spring but not me! Just curious what you all are doing as far as a weight loss diet, if you're doing this at all?

I like to ask family and friends, I trust what you guys tell me. It's interesting to learn what other people are doing and how or if it's working for them.

Medical Malpractice

Medical malpractice is found everywhere. A friend's daughter is actually going to law school to be a malpractice lawyer. She really idolizes a Bronx medical malpractice lawyer and that person has truly been her inspiration.

I certainly wish her the best of luck. Unfortunately I think more and more malpractice lawyers will be needed if this health care bill is passed.

Emerging From the Sickness

Wow- we have ALL been down for the count. It started with Olivia - she had an adenovirus infection, pharyngoconjunctival fever - pictures of Livi and because this was a virus, no antibiotics could be given, this just had to run it's course.

However, I got a sinus infection, CJ got strep throat and a wicked upper respiratory infection and the boys got ear infections and upper respiratory too! Pictures of the boys Then my grandma got sick - even though we stayed away from her. You know, you're contagious before you ever know you're sick so that is how she got it I'm sure. She wade t through the fastest! The woman who is 87 years old and has congestive heart failure!

Yesterday my mom was kind enough to run to the grocery store for us and of course, I forgot to ask her to get cat supplies but hey, who cares, I can't smell the litter box anyway! LOL

End of the Year Bills

Well, we got our home owner's insurance yearly bill - but we pay that with our mortgage, so luckily I don't need to worry about that one! The one I am not looking forward to is the car insurance bill! Now that we have the Mustang added in, I know it has gone up.

I think it's best I start looking for an auto insurance quote just t see what's available out there. I think we have a pretty good deal now but hey, ya never know, it doesn't hurt to look!

Another Year Goes By

Well, Dante is now 4 years old - another year just flew right by me and I still have the belly fat! LOL! Today is his actual birthday but we had cake and presents this past Tuesday since CJ had off of work. We didn't want to get a whole bunch of kids toys so we settled on one big item, the Fisher-Price Imaginext Adventures Superfriends Batman Batcave - which he LOVES!

I am not that 'party planner' kind of mom. I like things simple. I hate chaos and that's just what ya get when there are a slew of people and kids over for a birthday party. No thanks. I'll stick with a family dinner followed by cake and presents.

Can't Give Up My Coffee

The mornings KILL me. I literally need to gt up about an hour before anyone else in this house gets up just so I can 'wake up' and I know that exercise will wake me up - it's just so hard to get on the treadmill when I'm still half asleep! I thought I'd skip the exercise and just rely on fat burners and coffee to do the job for me, LOL

In the end, I wind up getting up maybe 30 minutes before everyone else and instead of exercise, I make a pot of coffee. I sit and read email and just relax. At the time, it's certainly much better than sweating on the treadmill. I just can't give up my coffee!

When 'EX' Family is Still Family

My ex-mother in law has had some health problems lately. She's worn a heart monitor, I think a Philips AED at one point and she has sleep apnea so she must wear a device at night when she goes to bed. Recently Jeff told me his mom had some lesions/blemishes on her face that the doctors felt best should be removed.

Well, turns out they were cancerous and supposedly all cancer has been removed but she has 18 stitches on her forehead from this removal. To make matters worse, those stitches are vertical down her forehead. You know, she may be my ex's mother but I will always love her and I will always care about her. Just because I divorced Jeff doesn't mean I divorced his entire family.

Well, school has started and the Labor Day holiday is over, back to my routine. I've been going through clothing, rearranging closets and trying to get this house organized.

A friend of mine, Marisa, recently asked if I still had my maternity clothes packed away but I don't, I gave them to my cousin and old her I wouldn't need them back. Turns out, Marisa really only needs some maternity bottoms so I told her where to find thee 100% made in Italy wholesale maternity jeans and she LOVES what she's found! I am so glad I was able to help!

Last Summer Outing

I actually love going shopping for kids clothes because it's fun! I know, many moms would not agree with me as many moms dread school shopping. I guess I'm lucky, I don't have to go 'school shopping' like other people seem to.

My kids usually wear summer clothes to school for the first month or so, then really, all I need to do is to make assure they have a few pairs of pants for fall. Dante's birthday is in September and he usually gets some clothes - same with Wyatt, his birthday is in November. By the time Yule rolls around, they all get clothes so we are set! I have to do the spring/summer shopping! Hey, that's cheaper!!

Cleaning My Mother's House

My mom left for vacation today and I immediately began cleaning her house because well, let's just say she is a pack rat and holy shit does her place need an overhaul!

I started in the kitchen. I trashed some old ugly plates and replaced them with these new rooster decor plates she still had packed away. My mom always loved rooster decor and they look really nice in her dinning room, not sure why never used this new set.

Tomorrow, I will finish the kitchen and start on the dinning room and living room.

I was sitting here going through bills and trying to figure out what I am going to do regarding life insurance (it's that time of the year to pay that bill) so my mind was consumed with ping pong thoughts of term life insurance or whole life insurance when Olivia came up to me and made a profound statement.

She said, "Mommy, I just cannot believe that I am a REAL person. Actually, I just cannot believe that I am a person who can move and see and everything. it's soooo weird!"

I'm still trying to figure out how to respond to that...

When we finally finished the basement, we wanted to get a new desk and computer since it is now an office/family area. I searched all over, going from store to store looking for deals, mainly for computer related items. We really wanted a good set of computer speakers because we figure the kids can use the downstairs computer to play their learning games on. I finally decided to look online for the best deals since I wasn't finding anything good around here.

Interestingly, I kept seeing the same deals on all kinds of sites, from store specific sites to those sites that supposedly list all stores. I quickly came to find that those sites were only listing the stores that actually paid to be listed, so that meant there were other stores that may have better deals, I just wasn't finding them. That was very frustrating.

I stumbled upon a site called ShopWiki and there they were - different stores. Not only different stores but different deals. This expanded my choices and I was able to find all sorts of computer equipment at a sweet price. The first section I looked in was the desktop computers since we needed a new one for the basement office. I was pleasantly surprised to find a well written article there giving advice and details regarding the different styles and then there was a list of manufacturers on the page as well. I found what I needed and more - like a cool keyboard and a printer too!

So, just a head's up. Don't be afraid to research the online stores you may buy from and definitely check out ShopWiki.com

The Countdown to Halloween

It's official, the countdown to Halloween is on - at least according to my kids! I'm fine with that, I LOVE Halloween!

This year they want to have a Halloween party in the newly remodeled basement. Olivia is already bugging me to pick up some Halloween party invitations because she has already made her 'list' of friends she wants to invite.

I think maybe we'll have something small, invite the neighbor ids over and that's it.

Since the Basement Has Been Completed

What can I say, I hardly see my children because they have their own little sanctuary down there. My office is down there too and it works out, to a point. The problem begins when I need to speak to a client. I either have to kick them out of the basement or I have to leave myself. Either way, it's okay - we all love it down there.

Decorating has been fun too. I've always wanted red walls with white trim but was afraid to take that chance in our living room, so we did that for the basement and it worked out well. I think the black furniture is the perfect accent too!

We were going to get a tv stand but I think the tv on the wall works out better, this way all the wires are out of reach and the ids can't gt to the tv itself.

Anyone know what the top acne treatment is these days because it seems my body thinks I am a teen again! I haven't had this many breakouts since I think I was 15 - I am not even joking.

I wonder if this is some mid-life thing? I will be 36 next month - I thought the pimple days were long gone! Maybe it's my body's way of tricking my mind into thinking I'm still a young chickie? Hahaaa
