My sister in-law has a bad problem with allergies, and she sees her doctor.  It seems like an all the time thing.  I know this because I’m the one that has to take her there all the time because she doesn’t drive.  I told her maybe she needs a new doctor because she goes all the time, and still has the same problems with her allergies.  She feels it helps her so I keep my mouth shut, after all I’m just the driver, and not the doctor.  I did find it very weird when he told her that she should look into some kind of allergy bedding.  I don’t understand how that will help, but like I said it’s her doctor, and not mine.  She feels seeing him really has helped her with her allergies.  I feel some doctors just milk you a long to get more money.  Doctors seem to need to keep you coming back no matter how small the issue is, and they always need that “CheckUp”, or “FollowUp.”

I called my auto insurance company to see how we could maybe lower our insurance costs.  They basically said that it is what it is, and that they can’t go any lower.  I’ve been saving all the ads for auto insurance quotes that I get in the mail.  You have seen the ones that say you can save this much a year if you switch to them.  Well, I started calling them.  So I’ve taken some time in calling them to see if this is true, and find out how much better they are in price.  I called a few of them, and gave up after that because it took me forever on the phone with them.  Hubby feels it’s best that we just leave it alone.  I feel that I’m a good driver.  I have no tickets, and no accidents, and should be able to pay less because of this.

Two weeks ago when we were getting all of our lovely snow here in N.J. I found myself wishing that I went with my in-laws on their vacation just to get away from all this snow, and cold weather that we’ve been having.  All I could think about while I was shoveling the snow was how they were enjoying the warm weather in FL, and this by no way was making me feel warmer while I shoveled the snow.  My mother in-law called me when she got home, and told me how she would never take any Orlando vacations in Feb. again unless it was extremelly cheap.  She said this was because it was in the 50’s while they were there.  Though this made me feel better because before they left all they could say in a joking way was “Enjoy the snow, and cold.”  But I will say that I did feel bad that they couldn’t enjoy the warm sun.  This also makes me wonder if when we go at the end of March if it will be warm, or cold for us.  This is something I’ll have to have hubby look into so I know how to pack for our trip.  By the way isn’t FL supposed to be warm all the time?

My little one turned ten not too long ago, and I think she is growing up too fast.  At this age she is starting to notice boys are cute, and how much fun make up can be to wear.  So I told her that as far as makeup goes she can only wear lip stick, and a little eye shadow.  I feel she’s too young for all that other stuff.  I told her too much makeup could result in giving her bad acne, and boys don’t like that.  Even though I came up with a good resolution she informed me that it’s ok, and they make really good acne medicine now, and it will help if that was to happen.

I  don’t know who they are helping.  It cannot me because I would like her to stay young for as long as I can.  I don’t know why kids want to grow up so fast anyway, because getting old is not fun.  Dad doesn’t want her wearing makeup much at all because he doesn’t want her to look trashy.  We both love our little one just the way she is.  Impressing boys isn’t something we really care about, as she is still to young to have a boyfriend.

Did you ever notice how hard it is for some people to get disability?  My mom had a very hard time, and she had proof that she couldn’t work.  I know a few people who had to file a disability appeal just to get their disability.  I do know a lot of people apply that don’t need it, and maybe this is why it’s so hard for those who do need it to get it.  It is just like Social Security… There are a lot of people out there that don’t need it, but got it, and now they aren’t looked at twice.  This is something you work, and pay into in case you ever need it.  Why if there ever comes a time that you need it you can’t get it without hassle?  They fight you anyway that they can, and sometimes that can take years.  In the end most people end up getting it anyway.  It just seems like a waste of time, and money if you can prove that you need it, and they just tell you no.  I’ve heard of people losing a lot, or almost everything before they end up getting approved for it, and it’s not much that they get to live on.  It’s because of all this that I hope my family, and I never need it.

When I first started on my weight loss journey I knew that it was going to be a hard thing to do.  I wanted to find the best weight loss supplements to help me with my battle.  I didn’t have a clue what I needed so I joined a diet class to learn what I could do to lose weight, and keep it off.

Aside from regular exercise, and eating the appropriate foods I found out that protein is also helpful in weight loss.  So I’ve been using a protein supplement along with eating right, and exercising, and it’s really helped me loss a serious amount of weight.  A few years ago my doctor wanted me to get the “Surgery”, and I declined.  I don’t want to have to worry the rest of my life about what I eat, and if it will have side effects on me.

But as far as keeping it off it’s going to take a lot of discipline, and dedication.  I keep telling myself that it’s O.K. if I mess up once, and a while, and I just remind myself how far I’ve come so far.

For some reason when I go for a walk in the morning I feel like I have more energy for the day then if I just worked out.  I’ve been having such a hard time with all this snow that we’ve been getting so I can’t go for my walks.  All I want to do is lie around, and hibernate like a bear in the winter.  I’ve been trying hard to stay on track with my diet.  It’s times like this that I wish I could find a diet pill that works, or maybe even Mother Nature would at least play nice while I’m dieting.

What do you do to beat the winter blues?

I remember when I was a kid and my mom would try to show me how to do things like remove wrinkles from clothing, and lots of other things.  I just never paid attention, and she would get so mad.  I wish she knew how to remove wrinkes from photos.  I could use that education badly.  She would tell me that she feels so sorry for my family.  They will not only have wrinkly clothing, but they will starve because I don’t want to learn how to do anything.  My one friend who loves to cook goes nuts when I tell her what I made for dinner.  She tries to get me to make a fancy meal, but I tell her like I use to tell my mom… “If it is not easy, then I’m not doing it.”

When it comes to school projects, and reports I’m so clueless.  I take the little one to the local library, and still have a hard time finding everything that I need.  So I asked my friend where see finds the stuff that she needs because her kid always finds a lot of info, and photos.  She told me that they use a web directory on the internet.  She told me that you can find most anything on the web.  I so hate looking up things on the internet because it’s easy to get a virus, or spyware even.  But I will say I have an easier time finding stuff for her reports.  On top of that when we go to the library I do most of the work looking for the books she needs.  Now she can look up whatever she needs on her own at home.

Recently I was picked to host a Digiorno game day party.  I was given all kind of stuff for at least 15 guest and six free pizzas to have at my party.  Being that I have never had their pizza before I was worried that I wouldn’t have enough food, so I made a salad to go with it, and some football cookies too.  I made two types of pizza.  Cheese pizzas, and pepperoni with the rising crust were what I made, and I ended up with a whole pie left over.  Out of the two kinds I made my guest they seemed to like the cheese ones the best.  My bird also got lucky when someone was nice, and gave her some pizza.  This made her a happy spoiled bird.  When the party was over I had pizza coupons that DiGiorno gave me for my entire party of guests to use the next time they go shopping.  My friends were so happy.  They said that they can’t wait to pick up some, and make it.
