Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer leaked the timetable on when consumers will receive the new operating system for smart phones.

Microsoft Corp CEO Steve Ballmer gave the word to financial analysts that a timetable for Windows Mobile 7 has already been set for early 2010. The news of the timetable comes about a week later when Ballmer presented Windows Mobile 6.5 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

Ballmer, in his unpredictable manner, gave financial analysts the information during a forecast meeting in New York. Ballmer told the analysts about the timetable and when the new mobile software will launch. While this may surprise most, the company already stated in previous announcements that a newer version would ship with Windows 7.

Windows Mobile 7 might debut with Microsoft's new operating system for computers.

Windows 7 is the new Microsoft operating system which promises to deliver faster performance and features. Microsoft is trying to upgrade users and to drive home missing revenues from Vista. A large percent of Windows XP users did not upgrade to Vista over concerns of bug reports and hardware requirements.

The news of the timetable spread like wildfire among bloggers and Web sites. Critics are concerned that everything presented last week on Windows Mobile 6.5 is already obsolete. Furthermore, it is obvious that one insider at the meeting leaked the information to the public.

There are no specific details on the new smart phone operating system, but the company could start promoting it sometime in the fourth quarter.

Windows Mobile 7 details on what it will feature has not been released. Ballmer gave no specifics regarding the new mobile phone operating system during the meeting. However, if the new mobile OS is only six months away, then Microsoft will probably start promoting it sometime in the fourth quarter.

This could also mean that Windows 7 could launch within six months.

[source: http://www.newsoxy.com]

Peter Vardy Car Dealer

Peter Vardy is a new and used car dealer with locations across Scotland, specialising in new and used Vauxhall, BMW and MINI. Save money by monitoring all your data transfers

Either you have an expensive data plan or a cheap one, it is highly recommended to monitor the costs, unless you get your traffic for free. Spb Wireless Monitor is such a tool that helps users measure data traffic via all types of connections and calculate network usage costs according to their data plan. Spb Wireless Monitor is an easy-to-use traffic management tool for your Mobile device. By monitoring all the data traffic and limiting the bandwidth, the software might also increase the network efficiency immediately and offer cost-effective traffic control, depending on the user’s plan.

After installing the trial version of Spb Wireless Monitor, just click and launch the application. The initial screen will welcome you to the program and will give you access to the program dialogs and features. From the Menu you can access the program’s About screen and register the product. The next screen available is Reports, which is your primary tool for analyzing data traffic and costs. Spb Wireless Monitor provides four basic report types, changed via Menu->Report Type submenu.

For each report type time periods and a specific connection can be specified. There are six predefined time periods that can be selected from Menu->Period submenu: Today, Yesterday, This Month, Last Month, This Year and Last Year. You will also be able to specify an arbitrary period using the Custom option. Furthermore, a connection can be selected from Menu->Connection submenu. In case you opt for Choose All, you'll have all the connections combined in a single report. Any report can be viewed in two different modes: table or bar chart. View mode can be changed via Menu->View submenu.

The Alarms screen is, as its name suggests, used to manage alarms. These will notify you when a certain amount of data has been sent or received over the selected connection. For example, you can configure an alarm to notify you when you have run out of free traffic included in your data plan. The creation of multiple alarms is also possible.

The Connections and Tariffs screen is used to select connections that you intend to monitor and assign their tariff plan. The tariff settings wizard is a straightforward process for configuring the connection tariff so that it can be calculated automatically.

The Export feature allows you to export data usage information to a file that can then be opened in a spreadsheet program such as Microsoft Excel. There's also the option of exporting the file to HTML or CSV format. A CSV file can be easily imported into Microsoft Excel, Access, and many other desktop applications.

The Today Settings plug-in allows you to view data usage information for a particular time on the Today screen. For each connection, total traffic and speed are displayed. Zentomino is sort of like TanZen, but harder. The game, like TanZen, involves moving, rotating, and flipping puzzle pieces to fill in a shape. So what’s the difference? Well, TanZen used smaller pieces and different stuff. Zentomino uses more pieces, larger, and feels different, as well as being harder.

Find your Zen again, with this relaxing, yet challenging, take on the traditional pentomino puzzle game! Forget high scores. Say goodbye to timers. It's just you and the puzzles. Simple. Serene. Zen.

Position up to twelve differently shaped pieces to form a larger shape.

Features:

* 144 puzzles to choose from.
* Freeform play. Solve puzzles in any order you'd like!
* Bright colorful pieces, making it easy to tell one piece from another during play.
* Puzzle memory. Stuck on a puzzle? Go try a different one, and come back to it later. Your past progress will be restored.

download
rapidshare

PyNetMony Monitors Your Current Network Settings

PyNetMony is an application for Symbian devices which will get you all the details of your current network. Anyway, Sony Ericsson has fierce rivals such as Samsung and LG, who have also announced some 8 Megapixel camera phones, including Samsung INNOV8 and LG KC910. Unfortunately, C905 was released on the market one month after INNOV8, so its sales dropped a little bit than it was first expected. Nevertheless, time doesn't mean too much in the eyes of those that are looking for a good camera phone. If you are one of these people, then Sony Ericsson C905 will definitely not disappoint you. The solution is added to the Cyber-shot series portfolio, as the new high standard for future camera phones.

Announced in June 2008, Sony Ericsson C905 was made available on the market in October, the same year. As a high-end device, C905 can be acquired for about 520 US dollars, free of contract. Users can choose one of the four available colors, namely Night Black, Ice Silver, Copper Gold, or Tender Rose.
read complete review at softpedia.com

Luxury home sales

Whether you're a first-time home buyer or a veteran, buying a home is a complex process. Its tools permit rapid application development, and the ability to create stand-alone S60 applications written in Python. The device installation package includes the Python interpreter (based on Python 2.2.2), select Python Standard Libraries, a script shell for launching Python scripts, many native extensions, and a Python Console for interactive development. Python for S60 can also be added to S60 SDK's for PC-based development, testing, and creating application installers. Basically we get a lot of new goodies with the new release and a few drawbacks.

Pros:
* Python 2.5.1 core. Yes, that means more modules and improved versions of the already existing ones will be available. This is very good when it comes to stability.
* Official packaging method. This is my personal favorite. The very useful Ensymble has been given a rather nice GUI which makes it easier to use.
* Better error handling. If the application raises an exception on start-up it doesn't just terminate silently but prints the traceback on the screen.
Cons:
* Much longer installation and start-up time. Really, you'll notice the difference. But like the thread says, this will be fixed.
* No support for S60 2nd Edition. Sadly, this part of the S60 family will no longer be supported now or in the future, because there are dependencies on OpenC libraries, which aren't available for 2nd Edition.
Notes:
* This release works on S60 5th Edition like the previous ones did, but it doesn't explicitly have any special features for it (like support for touch events).
* In a strange yet understandable way, the runtime isn't signed by Nokia with all capabilities like before. We only get the user-grantable set this time.
* Apparently PyS60 has moved from sourceforge and has a new home: https://garage.maemo.org/projects/pys60/
* The documentation no longer comes as a pdf file (at least this time it didn't) but as a much more comprehensive collection of HTML documents. I think this is better in pretty much every aspect.

Download
the Python S60 free for Symbian OS

Nokia Entering Laptop Market

Nokia's CEO, Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, indicated that his company, the number one mobile phone manufacturer in the world, is considering entering the laptop market. Kallasvuo had the following comment about the future convergence of mobile phones and traditional computers:

"We don't have to look even for five years from now to see that what we know as a mobile phone and what we know as a PC are in many ways converging. The next iteration of the Windows client brings to the table a range of mobile broadband enhancements, which will see a strong support from a variety of Microsoft partners. The Mobile World Congress 2009 in Barcelona acted as the stage for more than just Windows Mobile-focused announcements, as Microsoft also made public a line-up of partners that had already pledged to support the native Windows 7 mobile broadband enhancements.
According to Microsoft, the following companies are ready to make sure that Windows 7 is embraced seamlessly by mobile broadband connections: Acer, Asus, Birdstep Technology, Dell, Ericsson, HP, Fujitsu Siemens Computers, Huawei Communications Technologies, Option, Qualcomm, Sierra Wireless, Smith Micro, T-Mobile International and ZTE.

“Windows 7’s Mobile Broadband enhancements give people a more reliable way to connect to the Internet using a wireless modem. Taking advantage of this feature is just like connecting to any other wireless network, and is done using the View Available Networks feature,” Brandon LeBlanc, Windows communications manager on the Windows Client Communications Team, revealed.

Microsoft initially demoed Windows 7 Mobile Broadband at the Windows hardware Engineering Conference in Los Angeles in early November 2008. And even at that time these partners were ready to jump aboard, since Sierra Wireless revealed that it would offer support for the enhancements since that particular moment. Via Windows 7 Mobile, Broadband users of the operating system will be able to take advantage of mobile broadband services turning to nothing more than the View Available Networks feature.

“A consistent experience for customers on top of a common infrastructure for partners to build off of enables several benefits including lower support, maintenance, deployment and management costs. It also allows partners to focus on higher-end services instead of having to focus on basic connectivity development,” LeBlanc added.

VideoFab Converter 1.0.1.9 Beta Multilanguage Portable

VideoFab Converter 1.0.1.9 Beta Multilanguage Portable | 8.17 Mb

VideoFab Converter is a tool to convert source video file on your PC to target device. Both devices also come standard with Nokia Messaging that, when added to the company's corporate email clients, gives people the most efficient solution for accessing the world's consumer and corporate email on the go. In today's climate, the costs and benefits of technology are under closer scrutiny and email is an essential driver of efficiency and productivity.

"Efficiency is about doing more with less and focusing on what's truly essential," says Kai Oistamo, Executive Vice President at Nokia. "With direct access to Microsoft Exchange and IBM Lotus Notes, companies can potentially save up to a third of their operating costs as there's no need for middleware or additional servers."

With the latest Eseries devices, people will no longer need to boot up a PC to get a full desktop email experience. The enhanced email UI includes folder and HTML email support, expandable views and sorting capability by date, sender and size, as well as the most commonly used email functions just a single click away. On top of email, the devices also offer improved calendar capability, as well as contacts and task management.

Nokia E55 Pictured Left

"With the Nokia E75 we took a lot of inspiration from the Nokia 9300, which was our first mini communicator," adds Oistamo. "Owners of the Nokia 9300 loved the messaging functionality a full keyboard provided, but also used the traditional phone keypad a great deal. With the Nokia E75 we kept these essential ingredients, significantly upgraded all of the features and made it as compact as possible."

"When we launched the Nokia E71 last year, we really set a new standard for just how compact a full QWERTY device could be," continues Oistamo. "We have continued on this theme and have come back with the world's most compact messaging device, the Nokia E55." With the benefits of a compact QWERTY keyboard - as well as one click access to the most commonly use programs - reading, managing and responding to emails is quick and efficient. Another standout feature is the extensive battery life, with the Nokia E55 providing up to 28 days of standby time. "With the Nokia E55 we have made messaging as efficient and pocketable as possible," continues Oistamo. "In our usage tests, the Nokia E55's compact QWERTY keyboard has been proven to be fast to learn and quicker to use than standard phone keypads."

dded to the Nokia Messaging service, both devices come with full Nokia Maps and assisted GPS with integrated 3-month license for turn-by-turn navigation, and a great gaming experience with N-Gage on board. With Ovi Files, also included on the Nokia E75, important files stored on a PC can be remotely managed and shared, even when your PC is switched off. The new handsets come in the wake of the most successful year for Eseries to date, with more than 10 million units shipped in 2008. "With companies looking to consolidate costs and assets, and with the number of email-enabled devices in the Nokia range and our direct access model, Nokia look set to continue this performance in 2009," concludes Oistamo. The Nokia E75 is expected to ship in March at an estimated retail price of 375 EUR, before taxes and subsidies. The Nokia E55 is expected to ship in the second quarter at an estimated retail price will be 265 EUR, before taxes and subsidies. By charging with the solar panel located on the back of the phone, users can generate enough electronic power to call anytime anywhere. Samsung Blue Earth touch screen cell phone is made from recycled plastic called PCM, which is extracted from water bottles, helping to reduce fuel consumption and carbon emissions in the manufacturing process. The Samsung Blue Earth handset, including cell phone charger, is free from harmful substances such as Brominated Flame Retardants, Beryllium and Phthalate.

Blue Earth Samsung Eco phone
The latest in a series of eco-friendly mobile products, Samsung Blue Earth phone comes with a unique user interface which is designed to draw attention to preserving our fragile environment. Simple to set screen brightness, backlight duration and Bluetooth to an energy-efficient mode, this new user interface allows the user to be energy-efficient with just one click of 'Eco mode'. Through the ‘eco walk' function the user can count their steps with an in-built pedometer, calculating how much CO2 emissions have been reduced by walking as opposed to motor transport. This unique function allows user to calculate the value of this footprint through the number of trees that have been saved.

Samsung Blue Earth Solar phone
The packaging for Samsung Blue Earth phone is designed to be both small and light, made from recycled paper, and comes with a 5 star energy efficient charger which uses standby power lower than 0.03W.
