<title>Being Frugal: This Christmas Give Presence</title>
 <link>http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/MNetwork/~3/-tQ-N3AbT78/</link>
<description>No, that’s not a typo in the title.  This Christmas, instead of giving presents, give presence.  That’s the message the people behind the Advent Conspiracy want you to hear.
Click here to view the embedded video.
Let’s make this a Christmas where we all worship fully, spend less, give more, and love all.  That’s my goal this year.  Less stuff, more worship.

<title>Cash Money Life: Pros and Cons of Rewards Checking Accounts</title>
 <link>http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/MNetwork/~3/a8z5MHYQxEw/</link>
<description>As you have probably noticed, interest rates have plummeted over the last two years. Not long ago it was easy to find saving account interest rates in the 4-5% range, and CD rates slightly higher than that. Right now the best savings accounts are offering interest rates just under 2%, which is a far cry from what many people were used to. To take the place of the high rates that were so commonplace a year ago, many banks are now offering high interest checking accounts &amp;#8211; some with interest...

<title>Gather Little By Little: Are you as leveraged as Goldman Sachs?</title>
 <link>http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/MNetwork/~3/T5Fwa_5qcYE/</link>
<description>For decades, many of us have been putting more and more of our money into real estate. Strange enough, it is an asset class that many owners do not even consider when they answer questions about their stock portfolio or investments even though it is by far the most significant in many cases.
Are you among those who complained about the major banks’ excessive leverage?
Chances are that you or your neighbour is leveraged at least as much if not more. Think about it… If you own a house that is ...

<description>I&amp;#8217;m still trying to figure out why people think I&amp;#8217;m foolish for using a credit card instead of a debit card.  I&amp;#8217;m a Dave Ramsey listener and fan so I&amp;#8217;ve heard him rant and rave over the credit card &amp;#8212; burn it, torch it, drown it, just be sure to kill it (if you&amp;#8217;re not familiar with Dave Ramsey here is an introduction).  Seriously though, don&amp;#8217;t you think the whole no credit card intolerance has gone a little too far?  When you take off your thinking cap...

I&amp;#8217;d just like to take a moment to recognize and thank those who have served and are serving in the armed forces.  Because you were and are willing to put your lives on the line, we enjoy our freedom.  Thank you for making the sacrifices you do for the benefit of our country.
