Before a sold-out crowd at the River Cree Resort and Casino, Hollett (11-3) submitted fellow heavy hitter Aron Lofton with an armbar at 3:02 of Round 1 in the night’s main event. Lofton (7-3) arguably had the edge in the early exchange of strikes and put Hollett on his back with a strong takedown but “The Hulk” positioned himself perfectly to apply the fight-finishing submission.

Travis “The Serial Killer” Lutter stole the thunder from the return homegrown star Jason “The Athlete” MacDonald as he scored a unanimous decision victory in the main event of the Maximum Fighting Championship’s MFC 22: Payoff.

Lutter (10-5) used a dominating display of jiu-jitsu over the first two rounds to pull ahead before surviving a desperate ground-and-pound attack from MacDonald (21-13) in Round 3. All three judges scored the fight 29-28 for Lutter. The fight went down before an amped-up, sold-out crowd at the River Cree Resort and Casino just outside Edmonton, Alberta, and aired live on HDNet Fights.
