It has been announced that UFC welterweight champion Georges “Rush” St. Pierre has signed a multi-year sponsorship deal with Under Armour.

According to Sherdog.com, St. Pierre, a native of St. Isidore, Quebec, will become the face of Under Armour’s BockerJock and BoxerBrief Underwear line this Spring, and will be featured in a multi-platform advertising campaign for its ColdGear and Recharge post-workout suit.

- Ricardo Almeida has pulled out of his November 21 bout with welterweight contender Jon Fitch at UFC 106 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The bout was expected to be Almeida’s first at 170 lbs after a career at middleweight. Fitch told MMA Junkie he’ll now get a “bigger fight instead.” [MMAJunkie.com]

- Former UFC heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia will be appearing on the upcoming K-1 Dynamite! show on New Year’s Eve. Former PRIDE light heavyweight champion Wanderlei “The Axe Murderer” Silva will make his first appearance at middleweight in February when he takes on top contender and K-1 veteran Yoshihiro “Sexyama” Akiyama.

The report comes of USA Today who states the bout is rumoured for UFC 111 on February 21 when the UFC makes its first appearance in Sydney, Australia.

Yahoo! Sports is reporting that former UFC light heavyweight champions Tito “The Huntington Beach Bad Boy” Ortiz and Forrest Griffin will rematch at UFC 106 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Griffin will be replacing UFC Hall of Famer Mark “The Hammer” Coleman who was forced to pull out of the bout after suffering a tear in one of his medial collateral ligaments.

The Ultimate Fighter veteran Junie Allen Browning was arrested on Tuesday in Henderson, Nevada.

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Browning was taken to St. Rose Dominican Hospital’s Siena campus after he ingested a reported 16 pills of Klonopin. The report also states that Browning tried to leave the hospital and while doing so he pushed a female nurse, punched a male nurse and kicked a male nurse.

The LVRJ report states that Browning yelled, “Do you know who I am? I will kill you and rape your family.” Browning faces three counts of battery on a health care provider.
