I remember when I was researching once looking for information about entrepreneurs and I just kept finding the same rehashed information saying the same stuff. Nothing original! One of the things I often do is to take PLR articles (most of which are deadly boring) and re-write them into gripping new documents. If you want then to join your newsletter, then guide them to that action and somewhere in your article ask then to give you their email address. If you want then to buy something from you, you need to tell your visitor about the benefits of the product, why they should buy it and the difference it will make to them and then finally actually ask them to buy your product. So many people do not actually ask for a sale.

Niche Articles written for search engines should contain keywords sprinkled throughout the article, but not too much as the search engines do not like what is called “keyword stuffing.”

Search engines are not interested in the content for reading, but for relevancy and will rank you based on many different factors, but relevant fresh and new content is always a good way of getting the articles ranked high. High ranking will help you when it comes to grabbing visitors to your site. It is estimated that the number one ranked site will generate about 40% of the visitors to the search pages. Well worth getting!

Niche Article writing is a major part of your online marketing experience and needs to be done on a regular basis. Would you by a weekly magazine if the content was the same every week? Probably not and likewise your visitors do not want to see the same content every time they come to your site. They want to see new interesting content just the same as you do. So give it to them.

I am assuming that you are open to the idea of writing about any subject that makes you money. You may need to do some fast research about your subject and set up a website very quickly with some fast social site marking, but this is the way I would find an idea without any ideas…

Go to Google Trends and Google will show you a list of the top 10 niches that are exploding at the very minute you search. When I searched I came back with the following:

I noticed that items 2,4 and 5 seem to be related and indeed upon further research they were. This is about an online unemployment benefit system and seems to be going particularly hot in Orlando, Miami and Jacksonville in Florida according to Google Trends, which could be used in advertising your site at a local level.

I then jumped over to Blogspot and logged into my account and checked to see if www.fluidnow.blogspot.com was available and yes it was. I then quickly went to Whois to see if www.fluidnowflorida.com was available and yes it was (Fluidnow.com is obviously taken already).

I have established that it is possible to make two sites with the keywords already and could get both of these on line in minutes with a quick site and a fast bit or research and writing.

Now I have no idea what these sites are about and I have no product for them yet, so I would make these sites information sites and use Google Adsense or some other advertising medium and look to see if I could act as an affiliate for other sites in the same niche. With a day or two I could research more and get a product up about unemployment or finding a new job or starting my own business or something similar for the unemployed.

Now this is just one of many ways that can be used to find niche Ideas and what I like about Google Trends is that it is fast and up to the date and gives you results based on what is really happening at the moment of search unlike Niche Software and keyword software which gives you results of what happened in the past.

Google Trends is real. Real people searching for real things and if you can move fast, then you can make small mini sites and blast the local areas with information to capitalize of the changing trends.

Well here is the truth about real internet marketing strategies and you may not like it but here goes:

Let us go back to why we started our own business. Wasn’t it to earn money? At the end of the day remember we thought we could give up our day job and earn thousands of dollars on line and that’s why we started it.

So let’s get real with this Find Your Niche stuff.

There is absolutely no point to internet marketers being online following their passion if their passion does not make them any money. All they are doing is spending hours online writing and surfing and very little else.

I see tens of websites telling their readers to follow their passion when finding your niche and if you can make money with your passion then brilliant, but for many their passion simply won’t ever make them any money online.

The point of niche marketing software is to help you find niches that will help you make money.

I absolutely could not care less what niche my site is about, what product I sell and what my articles are about if they are making me 2 million dollars a year. I couldn’t care less if I was number 1 or number 1000 in Google if I am making 2 million dollars a year online.

I want to make money online and so I have given up following my passion and instead started following the money.

I would rather write about a subject that I know nothing about and make 10$ than write about my passion and get paid absolutely nothing!

I went into internet marketing to give up my day job and do what I want in luxury not to spend all day struggling to pay bills and write about my passion.

Niche Software is incredibly important to use for you niche success as it will speed up the research process by huge amounts.

Niche Software won’t save you 15 or 20 minutes but literally hours each day. 1) There is good and bad Niche Software

As with everything else there is always good and bad software and care must be taken when choosing your software. I am a great believer in “you get what you pay for” and generally this is true in the software world too. You can find some excellent software that has a relatively reasonable onetime price so that you do not have to pay monthly fees to certain service agencies.

Google offer some excellent services but do not as far as I know offer one complete package that does all the keyword research for you but there services are free.

2) Niche Software is a machine

Niche software has no emotion and it cannot think like a human who has very strange emotional feelings. Niche software can only work on bits and bytes and pre-programmed instructions and as a result will not always give you the exact results you may want and it should not be relied upon as the end of all your worries.

Depending on your location and even the time of day, it will give you different results so the results should always be viewed as a guide rather than a dead certainty.

3) Niche Software only tells you who is searching

Niche software only tells you who is searching it doesn’t tell you who is clicking through to the websites.

When I do my niche searching and I see that a specific keyword has 100 people a day searching for it, for all I know it may be 100 people doing keyword research rather than genuine visitors.

The niche software does not tell you how many people actually visit websites. To get that kind of information you need to use services such as Alexa.

Niche Software is an excellent product for you to buy in order to help you do your niche research and I use it all the time. I use an excellent service called Market Samurai, but I always use it with the above thoughts in mind.

I thoroughly recommend you use niche software as it will save you lots of time homing in on your chosen niche, but once you have found the niche you want, you may want to double check it using the manual methods to check it.

Niche Keyword research is critical to business success. Starting a business and opening your door will not get you success. It doesn’t matter if you are a huge shop or if you are a single proprietor – if you do not have any customers you won’t sell anything or put another way:

Niche Keyword research can be long, tedious and boring unless you like spending hours looking over hundreds of words going back and forth between Google and loads of other sites.

One of the ways to find keywords that will work for you is to find keywords that are working for others. So how would you like a list of keywords from the number one website in your niche? If you used the same keywords as the number one site, would that give you some help? I think it would certainly aid you. Now it will not guarantee you that you will be number one as there are many reasons why the number one site is at number one and keywords is only part of it, but it is a step in the right direction.

When carrying out my niche keyword research I use a site called Semrush where you can type in your competitors website URL and it will give you a list of the keywords that your competitor is using to get them to that number one position.

If you start using these keywords, you too may find better results.

Taking your niche keyword research a step further you will also be able to dig down deeper into the list by clicking on each of the keywords given to you by Semrush and this will give you a longer list. This will help you get more traffic which is basically what we want.

Obviously this is only part of the recipe and there is much more to getting to number one and getting loads of traffic and some of these ways will be discussed in other articles on this site.

Niche Marketing Research is very important as you will learn what people are actually looking for.

Remember that you cannot sell what you want to sell – you can only sell what people want to buy. You may have the best gadget in the world to you, but if no one wants it you won’t make any money and this is where a lot of people go wrong in business. They go and make a product and then try and sell it.

Niche Market Research prevents you wasting time and money as you will get an idea of what they want before you start.

Now as I say the information should not be taken as gospel. It will only give you a rough idea and I advise that you also do other research offline to really find out the real desire for products, but this is always a good place to start.

Niche Market Research for me starts with choosing a subject and then narrowing it down a bit into a smaller market.

So as an example let’s assume that I am an avid stamp collector (I am not by the way)

Now go to Google’s Keyword Tool External and type in the keyword “Stamp Collecting”

Do not forget that in Google Keyword Tool External you can select areas for your search. You can choose specific countries should you choose if it helps you in your niche market research.

Now I found an interesting keyword – “Buy stamps online” and so I did another search using the keyword “buy stamps online” and came up with the following:

Buy Postage Stamps – 220 searches a day
Buy stamps online – 180 searches a day
Buy stamp online – 43 searches a day

So in total there are over 420 searches a day so it has potential and what I like about this is that it is 220 people looking to buy and this is very important to know.

For the next part of my Niche Market Research I want to know if there is a lot of competition or not and so I go over to Google and do a search using the keywords in inverted commas. When I used the keyword “Buy Postage Stamps” I was pleasantly surprised to find that there were only about 12,200 other competing website and this is an excellent niche to have found and well worth continuing our niche market research.

The next part of my Niche Market Research is to go over to Amazon and type in my keyword “Buy postage stamps” into the search bar of amazon and I was happy to see that there was over 4 pages of results, so it would appear that there is a buying and selling market. amazon would not list them if they did not sell.

Once I have established through my Niche Market Research that not only is there a group of hungry buyers, but that there is also a market, I head on over to Google Trends which showed me that there is a fairly constant demand all year and it also showed surprisingly that New York had the biggest demand. Might be interesting information later if you want to target your websites for that area or if you want to advertise in New York.

This is a really great way to start your niche market research. There may be other sites you like to go to, but these four that I mentioned now will give you a great starting point to go from.

Niche market Research is essential to your success and so many people fail to take their time in doing it. As niche market research is so important you do need to take your time doing it. Let the statistics talk to you. They do not lie and do not fall in love with your keywords and use them when the statistics tell you that no one is interested. Listen to the statistics and you will be well on your way to success with niche market research.
