The term patent usually refers to an exclusive right granted to anyone who invents any new, useful, and non-obvious process, machine or article of manufacture.

Milestone has a distinguished and unparalleled history of innovative achievements. One of the cornerstones of Milestone is the "Device for initiating and/or furthering chemical or physical processes in a material, especially sample material. This innovation has allowed to develop the SRC technology which is the first step of the creation of two milestones: the UltraCLAVE and the UltraWAVE (EP 050 1285, USA 5,382,414 and EP 0 728 038, USA 5,725,835).

Milestone’ innovation does not stop there.

NEOS and NEOS GR microwave units are based on "Solvent-less extraction of natural products" (EP 1 439 218) and "Hydrodiffusion for isolation of natural products" (EP 1 955 749).

New patented technologies are on the way to come.

The International Symposium of Essential Oils, held in Turkey, was a big success for Milestone. It was the right occasion to show the potentiality of the NEOS and NEOS GR, the unique solvent-free microwave extraction system, developed in cooperation with the Université de Réunion and with the University of Avignon in France.
These two new patented green, solventless, extraction devices can substitute the commonly used Clevenger technique.
The solvent-free extraction time is only 10 -15 minutes.
Several books and articles have already been published in this regard.

Milestone worldwide seminars

The organization of workshops and seminars is aimed at deepening and widening the scientific education of scientific community. This can be achieved strengthening the contacts with the network of chemists worldwide in all the fields related to sample preparation, clean chemistry, organic and inorganic synthesis, mercury analysis.

We are organizing several international workshops to explain the advantages of the SRC technology and the technological innovation leaded by the UltraWAVE, the Simultaneous Automated Microwave Digestion System. The workshops usually cover the steps of microwave digestion, including preliminary steps, digestion methods, temperature and pressure conditions, study of the mechanism of action, laboratory optimization, and qualitative results followed by practical hands-on experience.

Several top-level scientists in the field have accepted to participate. The workshop will be a means to establish new connections with academia and companies, and will be an occasion for the Milestone team to advertise its new competence to the international community.
