What is your idea of style? How would you define your personal style?
Fun and comfortable. Those are the first two things that come to mind when I think of style. Though I love experimenting with fashion, I will never ape a trend because it’s ‘in’. My personal style should be a reflection of me and my personality and not someone else’s.

What was the first fashionable outfit/accessory you ever wore?
I think it was a pair of black heels. For every girl, it’s a big fashion moment when you can finally wear your first pair of heels. But as a child, I never payed too much attention to fashion. I was more interested in sports where I would put on a pair of shorts, a tshirt and my sneakers and I was out of the house.

In your wardrobe, what is the one fashionable outfit/accessory you cannot do without?
My favourite pair of jeans. It’s like an extension of my skin. They stand by me on good days and bad. And then my LBD. When in doubt, always run to the chic little black dress, heels and accessorise .

Have you ever mixed and matched trends?
I love playing with contrasting trends. So it could be a kurti with tights, a ganji with a maxi skirt or dhoti pants and kolhapuri chappals.

What’s been your biggest fashion faux pas?
Thankfully I haven’t had any yet. I’d rather be safe than sorry.

Name one trend that you just don’t understand.
Bumbags! They just look odd and should be restricted to tourists.

Name a celebrity whose fashion sense you admire.
Anne Hathaway and Blake Lively have impeccable fashion sense. Though their styles are very different, they are both fearless in terms of their fashion choices and look fabulous in whatever they put together.

People follow celebs. Where do you, as a celeb, get your fashion tips from?
There is constant inspiration around us. But I do tend to browse through a lot of fashion magazines to pick up tips, or tap my friends, who themselves are designers and stylists.

PATETI - is the Parsis New Year Day. The last day of the previous year is the time to close off all accounts for that year. The significance of this day is that it is the time to consider the wrongs and sins of the previous year and atone for them.

In India's multicultural society the Parsis have a significant position. They have lived in India for centuries. On Pateti day they visit their temple called the AGIARY. In the Agiary is kept the sacred fire which was brought from Persia when they first came to India and is always kept burning by their high priest. They worship Ahura Mazda, symbolized by fire. They renew their promise to have good thoughts, use good words and perform right actions.These are the three tenets of their religion. The word "PATETI' comes from PATET which means repentance.

Parsis wear their "kushti" or sacred vest. The men wear their tradtional dress called 'dagli' while the women dress in their traditional 'Gara' sarees. A 'Jashan' (worship) is performed and sandalwood is offered to the fire.

As for most festivals, cleaning the house is important. Chowk Chandan, which is rangoli stamped out of tin molds decorates the steps and threshold of the house. Guests are greeted at he gateway with a garland. A tilak is placed on the forehead of the children, new clothes are worn and elaborate menus prepared. After the Jashan, ( thanksgiving prayers) in he temple the rest of the day is spent in meetng and visiting with friends and family. The traditional greeting is "Sal Mubarak" (Happy New Year).

PATETI is celebrated six days before Khordad Sal, or the birthday of the prophet Zoroaster.

Growing up in Poverty -

Kishan Baburao Hazare alias Anna Hazare born on 15th January 1937 at Bhingar Village in Maharashtra's Ahmednagar district. Poverty forced the son of an unskilled labourer to shift to the ancestral Ralegan Sidhi village in 1952.
His childless aunt paid for his education, he sold flowers in Mumbai and struggled to study till class VII.
1963, joined the Indian army as a driver after the India-China war of 1962. Took voluntary retirement after 12 years and returned to his native village Ralegan Sidhi where agriculture output had dropped owing to a draught.
Anna Hazare got Rs. 20,000/- on retirement from army in 1975 and that amount was spent to renovate the Yadavbaba temple at Ralegan Siddhi village, 80 km from Pune. He lives in a single room, attached to this Yadavbaba temple.
That was the first of a series of constructive deeds that would change the barren, despondent village, now of 2500 people, into green, prosperous and happy.

How Kisan Baburao Hazare becomes Anna Hazare -

There is a more romantic version. "Government of India had appealed to young Indians to join the Indian army. Being passionate about patriotism, he promptly responded to the appeal," says a website authorised by him. During his 12 years as a truck driver, Hazare narrowly escaped death twice — once in action and once in an accident — and served on borders with Pakistan and China.

War broke and in September 1965, two Pakistani jets bombed Hazare convoy. Later, Hazare wriggled out his mangled truck. He was the only on to come out alive, amid the numerous dead bodies strewed around. Hazare reportedly asked God. "You saved me but why." He resolved the existential ist question by deciding to quit the arm] and serve the people of his village. Bu then he decided to wait until he becanw eligible for pension.

Returning to Ralegan Siddhi, Hazare became 'Anna' as he began to organise villagers for watershed development and to fight against alcoholism and untouchability. Anna's volunteers beat up liquor vendors who refused to shut shop and those who were caught drunk. In one instance, three drunken men were tied to a pole and Anna flogged them with his army belt. The villagers mobilised money for a school and a boarding that houses students who were repeatedly failing. "So that they can improve," says Jaisingh Mapori, panchayat president. Anna encouraged children to learn English and to join the army - there are more than 200 of them today.

Along with his reputation as a village reformer, Anna's proximity to the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) also grew.

ANNA AS GANDHI -

Winning an election is no indication His first national foray came in late 2009, when Kejriwal anointed Hazare as the face of a campaign to appoint ex-IPS officer Kiran Bedi as Central Information Commissioner. larger campaign against corruption. The role ascribed to Anna, that of a new-age Gandhi, is not easy for the 74-year-old. At some times, like Natha in Peepli Live, he is trying to act the role; at others, he comes across as a caricature of Sunny Deol in Ma Tujhe Salam: 'I am willing to face bullets for the nation.' Gandhi wrote: "Reform is one-legged, and so proceeds haltingly. Anyone who loses patience can never become a pure Satyagrahi.... The thing is that a reformer should be free from egotism. Why should we assume responsibility for ending all evils? ....to think "I do this, I do that" is ignorance."

AWARDS AND CONTRIBUTIONS - RISE OF THE CRUSADER -

Hazare began implementing his watershed management plan in his village. He used all his savings and inspired people to provide free labour propagating Gandhian philosophy. The ground water levels rose and irrigation was available for 1,500 acres. Food-grain yield, too, rose and the villagers became self-sufficient.
In 1980, with an increase in agriculture production, launched a grain bank for people who did not have enough food and spearheaded a campaign against alcohol in his village.
In 1990 the government awarded him with the Padma Shri honour.
Unleashed his first battle against corruption in 1991 when he launched the Bhrashtachar Virodhi Jan Andolan with a campaign against the collusion of 40 forest officials and contractors. All officials were later suspended. The next year, in 1992, he was awarded the Padma Bhushan.

NO MINISTER -

In May 1997 Hazare protested against alleged malpractices in the purchase of power-looms by the Vasantrao Naik Bhathya Vimukt Jamati Vikas Manch and the Mahatma Phule Magasvargiya Vikas Mandal, under control of hen Maharashtra Social Welfare minister Babanrao Gholap of the Shiv Sena and his wife. Gholap filed a suit against him. Hazare was arrested in April 1998 and later released after spending three months in jail, Gholap quit the cabinet on April 27 1999.
In 2003 Hazare raised corruption charges against 4 NCP ministers and started a fast unto death. He ended his fast after then CM Sushil Kumar Shinde formed a one-man probe team to look into the charges. The commission found some charges to be true resulting in resignations of two ministers. The same year, he won the Integrity award instituted by Transparency International for his efforts to end corruption in the government and forestry sector.

THE INFORMATION ACTIVIST -

In 2000 Hazare started a campaign that forced the Maharashtra government to enact the RTI Act. When the Centre enacted the RTI Act in 2005 he walked 10,000 km to create awareness about the law.

FEISTY AND FASTING -

In November 2010, Team Anna decided to launch a campaign for the Lokpal Bill.
In January 2011, Anna announced he would start a hunger strike at Jantar Mantar.
On April 5, he went on a fast and four days later, ended his protest after the government notified a joint drafting committee for the Lokpal Bill.
On June 16, after seven meetings, the joint drafting committee failed to reach a consensus and Hazare announced he'd fast again from August 16.

The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Mumbai police crime branch on Friday arrested four officials of a controversial web-driven multi-level marketing company (MLM) SpeakAsia (http://www.speakasiaonline.com) launched from Singapore, for duping a Mumbai-based investor of Rs. 6 lakh. The total volume of fraud is feared to be more than Rs 1.300 crore.

Joint commissioner of police, crime, Himanshu Roy said while the chief operating officer of the company, Speak Asia, Tarak Bajpai was detained in Indore and brought to Mumbai. its financial manager, Ravi Khanna and the web portal's designers — Rajiv Mehrotra and Raees Khan — were arrested in Mumbai.He said all four had been remanded in police custody till August - 4. They have been booked for cheating and hatching a criminal conspiracy.

Another top investor-turned-conduit in the fraud, Dipankar Sarkar was detained in Raipur. Roy said he would be arrested and brought to EOW custody soon. The CEO of the company Manoj Sharma is absconding while its chairman, Haren Kaur, a Singapore citizen of Indian origin, is holed up in that country.

Roy said the EOW had received a complaint from the Mumbai-based investor some time ago. He had been induced to invest Rs 33,000 with the promise of Rs 6 lakh returns. But, when he went to withdraw the money he found the account empty. The EOW conducted its inquiry and finally lodged an FIR on Thursday and the arrests followed.

Roy said the company, launched in April last year, has more than 12 lakh investors and 137 branches in India, 18 of those in Maharashtra. In Mumbai, the company has four offices. Whenever they were asked about the source of their income, they would say they generated the money by conducting market surveys for reputed companies. "However, these companies clarified they had never hired this company for any market research," Roy added.

Initially the company managed to hook investors by giving returns in cheques or transferring the money online to the customer's bank accounts. Their cover was blown when the company began defaulting even after taking money from investors.

A Small Introduction to Google's New Social Networking Project - Google+ ::-

Google has tried several times, without much success, to take on Facebook the master of social networking. Now Google, the king of internet search but a bust on the social front, launched its rival to Facebook a social networking service called Google+, — which happens to look a lot like Facebook. The service, which is initially available to a select group of Google users who will soon be able to invite others, will let people share and discuss status updates, photos and links, much as they do on Facebook.

Where Google+ is differ from Facbook or Difference between Google+ and Facebook or Google+ Vs Facebook ::-

Google’s senior vice president for engineering Vic Gundotra said in a blog post about the long awaited social networking, "Online sharing is awkward. Even broken. And we aim to fix it."

Google+ gives users to separate online friends and family into different "Circles," or networks, and to share information only with members of a particular circle. Bradley Horowitz, a vice-president for product management at Google says, "In real life, we have walls and windows and I can speak to you knowing who's in the room, but in the online world, you get to a 'Share' box and you share with the whole world" Gundotra added, "We want to make Google better by including you, your relationships and your interests."

One of the criticisms of Facebook is that updates are shared with all of one’s friends unless a user has gone through a relatively complicated process to create separate Facebook Groups. While in Google+ Gundotra says,"Not all relationships are created equal, So in life we share one thing with college buddies, another with parents, and almost nothing with our boss. The problem is that today’s online services turn friendship into fast food, wrapping everyone in ‘friend’ paper, and sharing really suffers".

Google+ project will be different in one significant way, which Google hopes will be enough to convince people to use yet another social network. It is meant for sharing with groups - like colleagues, roommates or hiking friends - not with all of one's friends or the entire Web. It also offers group text messaging and “Hangouts” which allows for video chatting among friends.

Google+, located at http://plus.google.com, is currently being tested by a small number of people or is available by invitation only. But Google said in a message on the site that it "won’t be long before the Google+ project is ready for everyone".

Facebook users are unlikely to duplicate their network of friends on Google+ and post to both sites, but that they could use them for different types of communication.

Google+ could also attract Facebook holdouts who have been uncomfortable sharing too publicly.

Some Analysts says Google+ may already be too late. In May, 180 million people visited Google sites, including YouTube, compared with 157.2 million on Facebook, according to comScore. But Facebook users looked at 103 billion pages and spent an average of 375 minutes on the site, while Google users viewed 46.3 billion pages and spent 231 minutes.

Zuckerberg had nearly 35,000 people following his updates on the service, more than anyone else in a broad survey of Google+ profiles by Social Statistics, an outside service.
