The Kansas Jayhawks, winners of 5 straight, can clinch the Big 12 title with a win tonight over Texas Tech. In other words, this game means something.

For bettors, Kansas games have meant something all year: huge profits! The Jayhawks are 17-6 ATS this year including a sparkling 12-1 in conference play. In addition, they’re 10-2 ATS this season coming off a win of 15 points or more.

There’s also a pretty strong generic trend favoring them to beat the 10.5 point spread tonight as well. Over the last 5 seasons, good offensive teams scoring between 74-78 PPG are 24-9 ATS (72.7%) against poor defensive teams who give up more than 78 points per game following a game in which they scored 85 points or more.

Meanwhile, the Red Raiders come in having dropped 6 straight SU including their last 3 at home and are just 2-9 ATS at home this season.

History? The last time these two teams squared off, last March, resulted in the largest margin of victory in Big 12 history, a 109-51 Kansas laugher.

Happy Betting!

When it comes to betting on NBA games, most average bettors prefer to stick to the teams they know. It’s no secret that teams like the Lakers, Celtics, Cavs ans Spurs almost always are giving away 1 to 2 points more than they deserve to be for no other reason than they garner the most action.

Meanwhile though, it’s the teams that you don’t know a lot about, the ones with the horrible records that are almost never on tv that can sometimes offer you the biggest profits. For instance, this season, the bottom five teams in the NBA (Clippers, Grizzlies, Thunder, Kings and Wizards) are a startling 18-4 (81.8%) OVER when they are facing another team ranked in the bottom 5.

In addition, the OVER has hit on 77% of games that fall into this situation over the past 7 seasons!

With those kind of odds, it’s one of the few systems that we recommend doubling up on after a loss. After all, there’s a ton of money to be made on a system that consistently hits 8 out of every 10 times!

That brings us to tonight’s matchup between the lowly Washington Wizards and the Oklahoma City Thunder. Inside the numbers, the Thunder are 8-2 OVER facing another bottom 5 team this season while the Wizards are a perfect 4-0.

Of course, with Oklahoma playing without leading scorer Kevin Durant and leading rebounder Jeff Green tonight, you’ll need to take a hard look at tonight’s line adjustment before making a commitment.

How would you like to get only 20% of your NBA bets right and still make money? Get the secret system that the pros use to make huge profits week after week, month after month!

Weber State has had a great season so far. At 20-8 overall (14-1 Big Sky) and riding an 11 game winning streak, a date in the dance is looking more and more likely. Despite their success though, their last loss sticks out. It came at home against Montana State, a team that stands just 13-15 overall (6-9 Big Sky) and is just 5-11 on the road.

The Wildcats will get a chance to avenge that loss tonight when head out to Bozeman to face the Bobcats.

Oddsmakers obviously had the first game in mind when they set the spread for this game at just 3.5 points despite the fact that Weber State has covered their last 9 in a row including 4 times as a dog and 4 times on the road.

A Weber State victory vs. the moneyline is backed by a strong trend that has favorites revenging a same season loss to an opponent and coming off two straight 10+ point victories against conference rivals winning straight up at a 84.6% clip (126-23) since 1997.

Meanwhile a victory against the spread comes backed by the fact that road favorites that outscore their opponents by 4-8 points a game are 37-13 ATS (64%) following a game in which they scored 85 points or more and facing a average defensive team.

Meanwhile, almost every other major trend favors Weber State as well.

Weber State is 7-1 ATS vs. teams with a losing record in the second half of this season.
Weber State is 10-1 ATS vs. poor pressure defensive teams this season (forcing 14 or fewer turnovers).
Weber State is 10-4 ATS on the road this season.
Weber State is 12-3 ATS vs. Conference opponents this season.
Weber State is 8-1 ATS revenging a same season loss over the past three seasons.

Definately something to think about.

Happy Betting!

At 82 games long, it should come as no surprise that even the best teams in the NBA hit a rough patch every once in a while. Indeed, each one of the top five teams in the league (Los Angeles, Boston, Orlando, Cleveland and San Antonio) have lost 2 or more games in a row at least once this season. The Lakers are the latest victim coming off back to back road losses in Phoenix and Denver.

Which brings me to one of my all-time favorite, and best performing NBA betting systems. Top 10 teams (according to ESPN’s Power Rankings) are 23-4 (85%) this season SU and 19-8 (70%) ATS following two consecutive losses.

UPDATE: This system moved to 24-4 SU and 20-8 ATS after the San Antonio Spurs easily covered last night against the Clippers.

And this performance isn’t an abberation. Over the past 7 seasons, this system has hit an average of 83% SU and 68% ATS.

Getting back to the Lakers, this is only the third time that they’ve lost 2 straight this season. The first time, they won straight up at Memphis but failed to cover the 12 point spread and the second, they dismantled Cleveland 105-88 at the Staples Center.

Looking at tonight’s game, they’re once again facing Memphis, this time giving away 15.5 points, but this time it’s on their home floor. The Grizzlies come into this game having lost 7 in a row SU but have covered 3 of the 4 games during that stretch in which they were double digit dogs.

How will the Lakers respond? Well, I think it’s pretty safe to say that a straight up win is almost certain. Of course, the moneyline, even if the books actually post one on this game, will be way to high to even think about betting it. So that leaves us staring at a fairly significant 15.5 point spread.

For what it’s worth, the Lakers are just 5-10 ATS this season when favored by 12 or more points while Memphis is 4-1 ATS when getting 12 or more. Of course, being back at home against one of the worst teams in the league following two straight losses could just render those records irrelevant.

Happy Betting!

How would you like to get only 20% of your NBA bets right and still make money? Get the secret system that the pros use to make huge profits week after week, month after month!

As sports bettors, we all know that there’s no such thing as a sure thing. Just ask Buster Douglas or the 18-0 New England Patriots about guaranteed victories! Once in a while though, a situation crops up that, while not a guaranteed win, is as close as you’ll ever see. The Nets and Bucks provide us with just that kind of opportunity tonight.Without going through the motions of previewing the game, we’ll just cut right to the chase. Home favorites (Milwaukee) facing a team that covered the spread at home in their last game but lost straight up as an underdog are an incredible 35-1 vs. the moneyline since 1996!

If that’s not enough, good offensive teams that score between 98 and 102ppg (Milwaukee) are 22-8 (73.3%) vs. the moneyline when facing another good offensive team (New Jersey) that is coming off of 6 or more consecutive overs.

Again, not a sure thing, but you’ve got to like these odds.

Happy Betting!

Just one point separates the Carolina Hurricanes from the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. They had a golden opportunity to snatch the 8 spot in their last game visiting the woeful Thrashers but gave up 4 straight goals en route to a 6-2 loss.

Things only get tougher from here.

Tonight, the Canes face the 40-19 Washington Capitals at the Verizon Center where the Caps are 25-7 on the season. More importantly for sports bettors though, it’s a place where the Washington is 16-8 OVER against teams ranked outside the top 10 in ESPN’s power rankings.

The Caps are coming off their own surpisingly tough loss, a 6-2 beat down at home at the hands of the up and down Florida Panthers. The good news for bettors though is that Washington, who is 11-2-2 OVER in their last 14 overall games, is 14-4 OVER after allowing 4 or more goals this season and 8-1 OVER following a loss by 3 goals or more.

Carolina who is 8-4 OVER in their last 12 games helps our trend out with a 7-1 OVER mark following 5 straight games with 30 or more shots on goal and an impressive 11-5 OVER mark after having won 4 of their last 6 games this season.

With Carolina having two full days of rest between road games and having a lot to play for, and Washington looking to bounce back from an embarrassing home loss, the trends certainly could be pointing us in the right direction in this one.

Happy Betting!

After making a little run, the Dallas Stars have come crashing back to reality scoring just 6 goals in their last five games (all home losses) and currently find themselves in 11th place in the Western Conference.

Meanwhile, their opponent tonight, the San Jose Sharks, own the NHL’s best record at 42-10 and are returning home after a 4 game road trip (2-2) that saw them struggle a bit offensively as well scoring just 6 goals.

Despite the recent poor offensive output of both teams though, there is reason to believe that at least one of them will snap out of it tonight and send the score over the posted total of 5.5.

Here’s why:

Road teams revenging two straight losses vs. opponent where they scored just one goal or less are 22-4 OVER (84.6%) over the last 5 seasons.

Dallas is 7-3 OVER (70%) on the road against the top 10 teams in the NHL this season.

San Jose is 7-3 OVER (70%) in their last 10 home games.

San Jose is 13-6 OVER (68.4%) at home vs. teams ranked outside the top 10 according to ESPN’s weekly power rankings this season.

Happy Betting!

There’s simply no way to sugarcoat it, the NHL’s lone game tonight (Avalanche at Islanders) is an absolute stinker. Of course, just because it’s won’t be pretty to watch doesn’t mean that sports bettors should stay away from it. After all, there’s just as much money to be made off of bad teams as there is from good ones.

The problem with these two teams (at least the main one) has been their absolute inability to stop the puck from going into their own net. Colorado ranks dead last in the Western Conference in scoring defense at 3.16 goals allowed per game. The Islanders meanwhile are one of three clubs that allow even more.

With this in mind, and the total line at Ov5.5, it would seem like a no-brainer to go with the over in this game. And yet, despite the signs that point toward a lot of goals being scored in this game, there are some powerful trends pointing in the other direction as well.

For instance, the Islanders are 10-3 UNDER against poor defensive teams, defined as a team that allows 29 or more shots on goal per game and allows opponents to convert on 17% or more of their power plays, in the second half of this season. And using the same definition, Colorado is 11-3 UNDER on the road against poor defensive teams this season. The Islanders are also 10-3 UNDER at home against all teams during the second half of the current season including a pair of shutouts against contenders (New Jersey and Buffalo) over their last three contests.

Of course, the fact that tonight’s matchup not only pits two bad teams against each other, but pits two tired bad teams against one another (Colorado is playing 4th road game in 7 days and New York is playing its 3rd game in 5 days) might lead you to believe that the defensive intesity might not be there tonight. Well, consider that home teams (Islanders) coming of a home shutout win and playing their 3rd game in 5 days have gone under the total 67 out of 98 times (68.4%) since 1997 including 9 of 13 times (69.2%) this season.

Meanwhile, marginal losing teams (40-49%) such as Colorado are 68-32 UNDER (68%) playing terrible teams (25-40%) on the road when playing in their 4th road game in 7 days since 1997. This trend is 6-3 so far this season.

While these trends certainly don’t guarantee anything, they’re important tools that you should consider before putting money down on tonight’s game.

With that said, here are today’s top sports betting trends:

Game: Philidelphia 76ers at Washington Wizards
Trend: Teams (Washington) in a triple revenge situation (three straight losses to their opponent) facing a team coming off a loss as a road favorite (Philidelphia) are 32-8 ATS (80%) over the past 5 seasons.

Game: Portland Trailblazers at San Antonio Spurs
Trend: Underdogs (Portland) coming off an ATS win where they lost straight up are just 10-41 ATS (19.6%) over the last 5 seasons when playing a good team (60%-75% winning percentage).

Game: San Jose Sharks at Detroit Red WIngs
Trend: Teams that have allowed 2 or fewer goals in 3 straight games (San Jose) are just 12-29 against the moneyline (29.2%) over the last 5 seasons when facing an opponent that has played in 3 straight games where 7 or more goals were scored (Detroit).

The Dukes go into their final regular season home game tonight against conference leading Virginia Commonwealth having ripped off 7 straight ATS wins which puts them at an eyepopping 18-8 versus the spread for the season. They’re 7-3 ATS at home and 12-4 in conference play.

A big part of the reason for their continued success is freshman forward Julius Wells who is coming off his 4th CAA rookie of the week award on the season. Wells has scored 20 or more in 4 of JMU’s last 6 games and is the team’s leading rebounder.

Meanwhile, despite a 19-9 overall record (12-4 CAA), VAC is just 10-15 ATS and have dropped 8 of their last 10 against the spread.

With the Dukes consistently playing better than the oddsmakers give them credit for and playing in an emotional final home game in which three seniors will be honored, the 2.5 points that bookmakers are giving them might be just what the doctor ordered to keep the cash rolling in.
