I had the privilege tonight of seeing director Wes Anderson and actor Jason Schwarzman converse onstage in Manhattan. It was fun being in the same room with them, and watching them interact with each other. I just wish that Anderson would have been asked better questions.

I know a lot of talented writers who spend most of their time creating, and are not particularly followers of, or even interested in, the world of social media. Once in a while, one of these talented offline people will get something published online. Galvanized by the idea that more pageviews is better, they clumsily

Tonight is the premiere of the ABC science fiction series V, which is a reboot of the NBC franchise that ran, in some form or another, from 1983 to 1985.
The 12-to-14 year-old me loved the original show, which I now recognize as, most likely, being pretty horrible, even without having to go back and re-watch

Today I was woken up by a phone call from a guy who wanted to know if I would do a “check by phone” to pay the $10 that is overdue on my Chase credit card.
This guy, who was obviously reading from a script in India, didn’t balk when I refused to confirm my checking
