You may noticed a lot of questions being posted nowadays on twitter, facebook and have been discussed on a lot of magazines and TV shows. It’s why we don’t talk a lot these days, and why people now prefers to stick to their computers instead of going out or even seeing friends and family. Here are my reasons.

Computers don’t complain. That’s the best thing about computers and tech. They does precisely and perfectly anything you want, quickly and without saying “I can’t do that”. They are designed to always and forever say “Yes”.

My computer will not blame or insult me if I didn’t open it which is the opposite to what people does. You have a lot of duties to finish and you “must” call everyone you know, and everyone your family “knew” and everyone your family knew just a few days ago, or, they will say that you don’t have the least of respect, and eventually you will end up with a trouble.

Computer will never lie, unlike people who always and forever will keep lying to you because they want to cover every piece of mistake they did to you, they love to look and sound like angels.

Computers are designed to help and support you while there are many people who wait you to fall because they want to look at you and say “He failed”. Your computer will always find you a solution to all your problems and will not laugh when you done something unsuccessfully.

You still want to ask this question?

I always say that I am not a professional photographer, I’m a good one with the passion about taking good photos as much as possible, but what I have of tools do not help that much to be a professional photographer but it’s okay, I don’t have to take everything quickly because anything can wait, until I learn enough, I’m still a beginner who want to improve his skills.

The point is, everything you are new with, you need enough time to know it, and being a beginner doesn’t mean that I am not learning. I think that I am learning a new thing with my camera, everyday and one of of those things which is amazing, is how to take shots. I think it’s a good question to answer.

I have always wanted to take good pictures, but I always end up with multiple and different shots of an object, sometimes bad position that caused a light problem or unclear details. but between those multiple pictures there is only one that has a true meaning and it’s the best for a certain object.

I always wanted to take good pictures no matter how hard it is or if I like it or not, just a good picture that may impress someone on flickr or one of my friends. What I discovered was amazing, you should add your feelings to the shot you are going to take because you will never like if it has no feeling. Just point your camera and press the magical button as quick as you feel this is what you want to “see“. It’s all about you.

There is a quote everyone says which I didn’t believe:”Photography, it’s all about the photographer not the camera”. I always say that a camera is the main and the most critical piece of tool to every photographer, but I changed my mind when I started to see many pictures taken with an iPhone camera and they looks much better than ones taken with Canon G10 or G11. I might agree on the quality of the Canon camera but when I look to the ones taken with iPhone, I feel like they are better and pretty expressive, I feel and love them, truly.

Anyway, you may have different views about this point but I think if my point is not useful then it is good and make sense. Try to check my gallery on flickr. I wish you better and better shots, always.

I have got a lot of problems during my 2 years and 2 months blogging experience, I stopped for 2 months and got back again, I stopped comments section and enabled it again, another disable and enable and today, comments section is permanently closed on all posts.

Comments takes a large ear of each page what make me angry and it’s even harder when I don’t get a comment on a certain post. I appreciate your comments guys but here is why it’s closed permanently:

This blog isn’t a social media or news blog, I mean it’s not like TechCrunch or Mashable, it’s just a simple and personal blog. I just write my thoughts because I like to share my them with all. Eventually, getting comments on my posts is not my goal and it’s not important but I enjoy reading your comments, tho.

I always receive spam comments even after adding DISQUS comments system. I really hate that so much.

They invent what we call “Email”. If you have a serious reply to any post I write, you can email me anytime and say whatever you want, and be sure, I will reply very soon because my email is running 24/24 on Mac, iPhone and iPad, so I will get your message anyway.

Your right to comment ends at my front door.

I really appreciate all your comments, negative positive and even the aggressive ones. Thanks for stopping by.

Wakoopa, is a great web application that let you add what you use of apps and websites to your account, you can added friends and check apps reviews, and it’s cross-platform, Mac, iPhone, Web and Windows. A small free app running in the background collecting only running apps information and send them to your profile. It’s helpful to track your usage of the internet and your apps. It shows a graph with colorful representation of your usage, web, multimedia, utilities and even social networks apps and tools. Everything you use is available on Wakoopa.

I like how Wakoopa handle my levels, daily usage and show them overall as a level. There are 7 levels begins with Newbie and ends with Overload. I reached this level which is the final one 6 days ago. That explains a lot.

I think I took about 9 to a year to reach this. It doesn’t mean I am a good man but it tells me that there is something wrong I need to change in my life. I always check to see that my usage of the internet and desktop apps are between 17 and 20 hours a day. That’s isn’t great, at all.

Facebook, who the hell in earth didn’t hear of it before? unfortunately, nobody. I really hate it but I couldn’t delete my account because simply, they didn’t invent anything much popular than Facebook, yet.

I want to be respectful and say that I really hate when a facebook friend tag me in a picture or post because people either add you to pictures that totally sucks (ex: drunk, naked, or even in bed) or good pictures that also sucks.

Someone tagged me with 30 others to a photo says: “You are donkey”. Jackass, I bet, he was expecting us to comment nicely and “loling” to make him laugh. I was like crazy wondering what the hell he was thinking when he posted this photo and tagged us to it.

Why facebook didn’t apply tagging restrictions? I mean, it requires me to accept requests of all kinds, so why not tagging?. I don’t want to disable this feature but I want to be free choosing what to accept or deny.

It was a good to see Steve Jobs on the stage replying to all news regarding the iPhone 4 antenna issue, I was really happy to see Apple holding a conference to talk about their products and its issues. I don’t think other companies will act the same, because Apple really cares.

Jobs, provided a lot of details to the audience that shows how the antenna issue isn’t big or annoying as people says on their blogs and twitter. Do I really believe him? the answer, Yes, I do. But I have a couple of things to discuss before I say what I am gonna do.

I posted a tweet, asking my followers to mention a reason for buying an iPhone 4 despite its antenna issue:

I’m really happy with people who replied to me, I didn’t expect to get such replies but thank god, this is a good push forward.

@ylootah replied on with 3 tweets:

I will give you my reason why I’m keeping mine? It could have antenna issue but it is the smart phone in the world!

antenna issue is limited to weak signal area but this is will stop from using the great screen, best cam, hd video, better battery

I don’t think I can go back to my 3GS if you use 4 you can’t go back! If I have to use bumper I will use since I use a case on 3GS

@LuayRahil and @khaled replies were positive:

LuayRahil: I have an iPhone 4, no problem w the reception so far

khaled: no issues with me

@Qandil and @AmaZHD replied a little beyond the question:

Qandil: Well to play HD games

AmaZHD: I won’t, the iPhone 3GS is enough – don’t see any useful changes in the iPhone 4

I’m really happy to hear such replies, AmaZHD mentioned a good reason that may fit a regular user not me. because the new features of iPhone 4 are totally critical (i.e 5mb camera, Flash, Retina Display and etc). No one mentioned a problem regarding the antenna at all.

It was really bad to hear that the only solution to the reception issue (if available) is to use a bumper, but i took an hour thinking seriously of the issue. Why using a bumper is bad? It will solve the issue (again: if available) and protect my phone as well. it’s a good deal for sure.

Now, Am I going to get me one? I say, Yes. Until they bring it to Jordan or UAE, I will be watching news and updates.

The general form of technology is to provide better life and make it easier to people, to interact, benefit from their time and also to let them try out what technology is providing to all, no matter who is the producer or the device. Technology is always the coolest thing in life, if and only if, Tech masters are doing better from year to year. But what about the increasing gap between technology and users?

We are following tech news all the time but we are really confused about the endless stuff companies and individuals are developing all the time. Android, iPhone 4, tablets, BlackBerry 6, Google Cloud, Web Apps, Desktop Apps and even mobile apps. We are lost with all these stuff, we don’t know what to buy or what to recommend to others. Quality is good but perfection is something you cannot get these days. All these stuff are making us a little bit worry about what the future is hiding for us.

Today, when you want to buy a new mobile, you will end up with a loop of endless models and different features, you will be hearing pros and cons on the same mobile and you will never ever see 100% agreeing on your chosen device. For an example, Nokia 3320 was the first choice and everyone was saying it has no problems. We were totally satisfied with our limited mobile phones and we were happy. That thing is not noticeable these days and you can barely pick a phone without hearing “It sucks!”.

Patricia Seybold, Said:

“A lot of people think that the new economy is all about the internet. I think that it’s being fueled by the internet – as well as by cell phones, digital assistants, and the like – but that it’s really about customers.”

and Stephen King, added:

“Buyer should be aware that ‘Cell’ is a violent piece of work, which comes complete with zombies set in motion by bad cell phone signals that destroy the human brain.”

For the record, I’m missing my Nokia 3320 so much. There was nothing to care about, no applications, no complicated software issues! All you need is to make a call and do your job. That was awesome. These days, I spend a couple of hours daily to find new apps for my iPhone and iPad. It’s all about being curious what this app does, and how about giving it a shot, you will not be able to resist. Eventually you will find that you are paying for apps you don’t use or at least you don’t need. Eh, but you are happy, tho.

I’m missing those days and at the same time I cannot go back for less features devices. God, I must stop reading news and only focus on what is much important.

Android is a great smartphone operating system, I like it and I truly think that it’s a only competitor to the iPhone. I {wrote about my 3 days experience with Android}, it was little bit bad but I think that it could be better. Google didn’t announce anything about Android 3.0 (a.k.a Gingerbread) and I don’t think they are going to say anything about it because Froyo still too fresh to be updated. but here are my main thoughts on the must added features to Android 3.0:

Multitasking: Android multitasking is confusing, that’s because Android keep processes running in the background giving them a short time before killing them based on “You may need this” idea. I think that every Android app must add “Exit” button to the app menu to let users decide either to kill or to keep a particular process running in the background.

Languages: Google must design Android to be a multilingual platform. Arabic language is one of the most important languages to be supported in the next release of Android.

Networks: A smartphone must handle all network connectivity without any need to do manual configurations. One of the annoying issues I was facing with Android is the need to setup the GPRS connection manually because Android do not get the network info automatically. what makes the problem even harder is when I visited the company and they told me that they do not know or support Android yet. The story becomes even worst when you travel, you don’t know how to configure a connection or even the number to call customer support. iPhone handles all GPRS, 3G and cellular data networks automatically and thats one of many reasons makes me stick to my iPhone. I’m not trying to compare iPhone and Android but I am to trying to address an issue and say that a Android is a an operating systems for smartphone and it should go back way to 2001 when the data networks were absolutely buggy and settings are unstable.

Touch: I don’t really know if the touch function is a software or hardware or both issue because with Android phones Touch technology is little weak. I cannot compare it to iPhone sensitivity and response because it’s truly the best out there. Touch must be improved for sure or at least Google must address the issue if it’s a software or hardware problem. I think nobody can say that’s wrong.

Android Marketplace: The App Store competitor must get updates. Google must add a couple of sections and features like: Top Paid Apps, Top Free Apps, Staff Picked Apps, Whats Hot/New and enhance the update processes.

Android is great, promising and absolutely powerful if and only if they keep enhancing and updating it. Android is good but still need a lot of work and enhancements to go through the same track of iPhone, not to copy it but to provide us better features than the iPhone. These features are mandatory to any smartphone. I will be watching Android’s storm.

I always feel confused when I check the AppStore to get new apps or when I want to get an app for a certain purpose because the results of my search query are too much while the real good apps are 1/3 of what I found which means that numbers of how many apps available or how many developer coding iPhone apps gives no indication about the real story.

This annoying fact is applicable on Android Marketplace as well. I’ve spent 3 full days with Android mostly searching Android Market for iPhone apps alternatives. I expected to get better search results than the AppStore but they were worst. Apple says that they have +220,000 apps in the AppStore and I believe that but I think +40,000 apps are totally unusable and useless apps and for Android Market I can remove up to 10,000-15,000 apps that are fully ugly, useless and unusable apps. Apply that to Windows Mobile Market and every platform stores around.

Firefox has a big challenge now with the its coming release Firefox 4. Try to browse Firefox Extensions, Plugins and Themes libraries to realize that there are many extensions and themes should be removed right now because they are insanely ugly and pointless. I can tell you that seeing a very old theme or extension has no meaning and I’m wondering why Mozilla still host them.

The problem with Apple, Android and Firefox Stores is the fact of their willingness to host as much as possible of apps, themes and extensions to their platforms no matter how good or usable these stuff to users. They want bigger numbers of developers and apps on their stores and the user is a secondary issue to care about because their excuse always is “Users will eventually get what they are looking for”.

Actually I think Apple, Android and Firefox will not take this issue for real because I mentioned previously, they need bigger and attractive numbers to gain more users. If you think that a question like “How many apps?” is not popular then I tell you, you are wrong. Today’s smartphones aren’t a big deal and that simply because there are hundreds of smartphones out their, but the winner is who gain and build a solid platform for app developers. Statistics says that many users aren’t satisfied with their smartphones but they need to use there favorite apps, they cannot switch to a new mobile device and start exploring alternatives to what they left behind and that applies the rule “No everyone is a geek”.

There are many ways to make a store less crowded and at the same time full of useful and usable apps. They may have a lot of ideas on how to do that but here is what I suggest or truly believe in:

Platforms creators must force and apply Support rule on all developers to keep updating and enhancing their apps and keep supporting and response to users reviews about missing features,

There should be Demo versions of paid apps to let users test an app before pressing buy button and start complaining on their unfair deal. I don’t care about demo period but let me be fair with developers and say that 1 day is enough. Demo versions of paid apps is a feature of Android Market

A new technique is to delete any app if it has no popularity or if it remains for 2-3 months without any user purchase. That could be better for filtering apps and discover what users have dismissed.

Platforms creators and developers should know that users will surly stick to their platforms and apps when they notice increasing enhancements and support for what they paid for. I would love to see many apps in Android Marketplace and Apple AppStore but only useful and featured apps.

I’ve got a new iPad Wifi 16 Gigabytes 3 days ago and actually it started to change a lot things in my life by giving me many choices to get things done. The iPad is not a consumer device like a few people were saying “It will disappear, shortly” it’s pretty useful and surly if you can get one do not hesitate because you will be happy with it, regardless any review you have read.

I couldn’t say that your life will stop without the iPad and I couldn’t say that iPad is the replacement of your mobile computer. iPad and tablets in general will never replace Laptops, but they will offer you many ways to get things done the easiest way. for that matter you don’t need to carry your laptop when you go out to chill with your friends, and if you are running a business with email, web and documents usage, I can tell you that the iPad is totally enough, Don’t get a laptop for your work.

Now I don’t feel the same when I read email messages, Google Reader feeds or even browsing a website on my Mac. I feel like there is another device that can handle all that in a very simple and beautiful way. Now I always check my email and documents on my iPad because simply, I don’t want to launch my laptop operating system while I can work on these stuff quicker, I don’t need a whole computer to do that.

Apple iPad iOS (the current is iOS 3.2) is missing a couple of features, the multitasking and folders that are associated with iOS 4. Fortunately, iOS 4 will be available for iPads sooner or later before the end of this year and it will provide all iOS 4 features like the iPhone version. Multitasking, Folders, Email Indexes and much more. I wish to get that release as soon as possible.

iPad is really a new and awesome experience I’m happy with it, It’s changing the way I read, write and even think about a small, fast and movable computer-like. I think that I’m already iPad addict.

This is my 3rd day with nexus one running android froyo 2.2 and fortunately it’s really solid and the performance is just great. Froyo added a lot of improvements and it was a big enhancement since I tried 2.1 with a friend of mine. I’m here now saying “I want to go back to my iPhone”! Yeah, this is what I say and I will do soon. Let me explain why.

The multitasking in Android is great and works so good but you must use a third-party application from Android Market to kill running processes which I think it’s not acceptable at all. Why they didn’t integrate it with the system?. With iPhone you need to double press the home button to see what is running in the background so you can close or launch, but with Android the story is strangely different because you need to go to the settings area (Settings> Applications> Manage applications> Running tab) what the hell is that? do I really must do that every time I need to check running applications? this is ridiculous and not logical.

What is worst is when you get a process manager like “TasKiller Free” to kill process and weirdly see that there are many applications running in the background you didn’t even launch. I couldn’t really understand the way it works. An example: I installed Yahoo Mail and Messenger applications to test them but I didn’t open any of them until this moment, but it’s totally odd to see Yahoo Mail running in the background, I didn’t touch it at all.

Another story on the connectivity. I don’t now if this aspect is a hardware or a software issue or both but I noticed that wifi connectivity isn’t stable at all while my Mac and iPad are having a very good connectivity. Edge is a big deal here, with iPhone I don’t need to configure anything because it handles all that smoothly, when I am out where no wifi signal and I request to use the browser or when I run an application that requires Internet connection, iPhone start processing that and quickly display “E – Edge -” on the top bar. With Android I must configure that manually. Zain JO which is the carrier I use didn’t give enough info on its website to let my Nexus One run Edge, I tried to call the customer service but unfortunately they have no clue what Google phone or Android means. I was like “Come on man, you didn’t hear of Android before? nexus one?” and he answered “I know iPhone, Sony Ericsson, Nokia and Motorola, but this one looks new, sorry sir”. PHEW!!!!

A new big issue is around, open your ears “Android Do NOT Support Arabic Language”. I’m wondering how come Google support Arabic language in its all services and products except Android OS. I don’t write Arabic, I don’t use Arabic apps but I need to read Arabic. The funniest part here is the solution, it’s to root your device and install a new ROM. HOLY SHIT!! Apple is natively support Arabic on iPhone, iPod, Mac and Mac OS X Servers while Google dismissed Arabic.

The 5 Megapixel camera is just a big fail, iPhone 3GS with 3.2 megapixels takes better photos than the Nexus One, no real zoom or feature to support your photos and photography apps in Android Marketplace are totally useless so it’s better to forget taking good shots with Nexus One camera.

Android applications are fully poor, poor design and limited feature and I don’t like that at all because one of my reasons to love the iPhone is the way apps are being designed and coded to give the best user experience to users. I believe that iPhone “at least” has the best apps out there.

Do I have enough reasons now to switch back to iPhone? YES, I DO. I have enough reasons and issues to switch back to iPhone, if it’s not to iPhone 4 then to iPhone 3GS which is totally better for me.

Since the well know iPhone antenna issue and Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs message regarding holding the iPhone, we are still waiting the fix for the reception issue which is iOS 4.01. Until this moment, Apple didn’t release any announcement regarding this issue and we didn’t hear any thing. That was confirmed by Apple discussion forum users who also reported that Apple deleted that topic about iOS 4.01 and that’s seriously makes me feel worry.

I’ve started to count many fails for Apple since iPad and now with iPhone 4. Unfortunately, I think that Steve Jobs message was such a confirmation that reception issue isn’t a real issue and it will not be solved in the next release of iOS 4. Steve Jobs said that you should use a Bumper or simply don’t use your left hand to hold your iPhone 4. This is really ridiculous and not acceptable.

I don’t know if they really know how the issue is big and annoying because I doubt they check youtube. There are thousands of videos about this issue. Many users started to switch from iPhone to Android to avoid having any further problems. Personally, and regarding all Android’s issues I’m thinking seriously of getting an HTC Desire with Android Froyo 2.2.

I don’t want to switch but Apple left us no choice of making a decision what to buy. We supposed to get the new update yesterday but they didn’t release anything so far. Crossed fingers.

Yesterday was such a horrible nightmare to all iPhone 4 early adopters The iPhone antenna problem is driving people crazy, making them think twice before knocking Apple Stores. But what about the rest of iPhone 4 users and who didn’t experience this issue?

Steve Jobs reply to the user who reported the antenna issue wasn’t acceptable to all including me, because I really think that Apple is reinventing the way people hold their mobile devices. here is Steve’s reply:

Gripping any phone will result in some attenuation of its antenna performance, with certain places being worse than others depending on the placement of the antennas. This is a fact of life for every wireless phone. If you ever experience this on your iPhone 4, avoid gripping it in the lower left corner in a way that covers both sides of the black strip in the metal band, or simply use one of many available cases.

Technology has something called “Wise” and it’s about holding your money and wait for early customers, users or reviewers to publish their opinions on something. Nobody reported any problem except the antenna one and it’s now the most annoying problem to all of us and the worst to those who purchased iPhone 4.

This issue reminds me of a famous quote says:

Never let technology fool you, hold your money and wait for the moment of perfection.

I badly want to get an iPhone 4 but antenna issue is making me confused. We don’t have any Apple Store here what makes it hard to return your iPhone and get another one. I think that we all should wait until knowing that the issue isn’t available anymore. I really wish Apple to find a solution for that problem as soon as possible because we want to get it but the antenna issue is not a thing you can deal with. My advice here to everyone is to wait until the solution.

Update:

Comment regarding the antenna issue from FastCompany [The $0.001 DIY iPhone 4 Antenna Fix]:

No, the problem does not affect all iPhone 4s. I’ve been trying all morning to reproduce the problem. I spent some time doing this yesterday, too, in three different locations. So far I’ve been unable to affect the number of bars.

Well, that’s looks weird but yeah, I’m not going to jailbreak my iPhone 4 and that’s the most correct choice I have ever made after facing some troubles with installing iOS 4 to my iPhone 3GS. Let’s take a look of why people likes to jailbreak their iPhones and discuss them.

1st Reason: People want to get AppStore apps for free, they won’t pay for an app they may use for one or two days. People mostly loves to test new apps for free and I am obviously one of them.

2nd Reason: Cydia offers a lot of hacks and tools that may enhance your experience. With iPhone 3GS people want to use themes and set some beautiful wallpapers, they want to install hacks and play with their iPhone.

3rd Reason: Unlock the iPhone to use any SIM card from any carrier.

Actually the 1st reason is meaningless. I was sitting and writing down my favorite apps that I will use on my iPhone 4, I have started to consider them as Used and Unused apps. I figured out that I don’t really use 40% of the currently installed apps, I started to delete unused or useless apps. I ended up with 5 pages and 2.5 pages were containing free apps and the other half was crowded with duplicated apps like Twitter for iPhone, Echofon. Why I want to use 2 twitter clients? why not only one app? Twitter for iPhone is the official app of Twitter Inc. and it’s free. I started to replace paid apps with free alternatives and eventually, I had the same experience with the free alternatives.

For an example, Awesome Note is such a great notes taking app but the question that you should ask to yourself is “Do I really use its all features?” I don’t really use any feature except the main feature which is taking notes. Now the associated Apple “Notes” app which is also free contains many features including tags and folders. It’s totally enough, then why to pay for an app with a few certain features that are already available in free original app?.

The final result is “Cost” after calculating how I should pay for apps I cannot really live without them I found that I need to pay $25 and that’s equal 17.58JOD, lets say 18JOD. Most of apps costs $0.99 only. Why won’t we appreciate developers work and efforts and pay these cents? Come on, please! [My top paid apps].

The 2nd reason is dead to me. Do you really think that I like Cydia? I really hate this illegal piece of software and its endless problems and uncounted bugs. Between the lines I want to ask all of you iPhone users, Do you fully trust Cydia apps and hacks? my answer is No. I install hacks from Cydia on my own risk. Many times I ended up with iOS crashes and problems and I was searching the web like a crazy to find a solution to my problems and I rarely find an answer to my questions.

Cydia sources are offering great apps like Backgrounder and ProSwitch for Multitasking, SBSettings to control connections and Categories to create folders, but now iOS 4 offers these features which were implemented the best and niftiest way. Multitasking and Folders are already available beside many features you can read here [iPhone 4 Features]. Now I say “Go to hell Cydia, I don’t need you anymore”.

The last reason which is the 3rd one is a little bit confusing. I don’t want to make the same mistake and get Unlocked iPhone, I’ll make sure of getting the Factory-Unlocked iPhone 4 that will not need any Jailbreak/Unlocking processes to use your carrier SIM card which applies the 1st and the 2nd summery of what I said. U.S. users will be with AT&T which is totally nice.

My ratings always were 5 stars and when I meet anyone and during any conversation I ask “Did you watch Up? The movie?”. A few people answered me with “Yes” and they were really lucky because who didn’t watch it, has received a huge and endless flooding of anger and “Question Marks”. Eventually, I advise everyone to watch it. ~Avoid my anger.

Mr. Carl Fredrickson is the main actor of Up. He is really my favorite real and 3D character of all time – Let me explain Real-3D thingy later. The question here, Do I really look like Mr. Fredrickson? any chance?

I have been told that I look like Mr. Fredrickson or at least I will look like him when I reach Mr. Fredrickson’s age. I truly love him and I will be really happy if that was true. furthermore, I’m not going to kill myself if the answer was no.

Again, Do I really look like him? or will I?

Project365 is such a great and amazing project with a super unique idea. This project main idea is to take a photo everyday during the year, regardless your camera model or quality or your photo hosting service.

Actually, this is a great idea and I totally loved it so much. There is no need for a pins and papers. Storing your daily moments with a good picture then save, publish it -as you like. Try to not see them until the end of the year. Wouldn’t be great? Yeah, seriously fabulous.

I’m in love with this project but who to start after the day 170? It’s a late start but not bad at all. I wanted to start now and continue from now. I have created a new photoblog for that project [mhdbadi.com/Project365] and posted today’s photo (Day 170/365, June 19th 2010).

There are many ways to keep your photos organized and manage publishing your photos. There is a free iPhone app “Project365 – iTunes Link” and it’s really good. You can also create a free account on Project365.org and upload your daily photos to your account.

I have created a dedicated photo blog for this project because it deserves to be taken seriously.

A couple of hours ago my Mac shown me a message says that my magic mouse batteries are starving, I check them to find that the remaining of my magic mouse batteries life is only %10. I wanted to replace mouse batteries with my wireless keyboard ones. I tried to open the cover of the magic mouse but I failed. The only idea was to search Youtube and happily, I found what I want.

After I changed them I noticed that I am relying on the internet always and in every piece of problem. How to open the cover wasn’t a serious problem but the problem here is my laziness to try more and more . I went Youtube and I have found the way.

I want to quote a few words by Douglas Adams:

First we thought the PC was a calculator. Then we found out how to turn numbers into letters with ASCII – and we thought it was a typewriter. Then we discovered graphics, and we thought it was a television. With the World Wide Web, we’ve realized it’s a brochure.

And another one by Eric Schmidt, CEO of Google:

The Internet is the first thing that humanity has built that humanity doesn’t understand, the largest experiment in anarchy that we have ever had.

Do we really need the Internet in everything? Actually, Yes, we do. The issue isn’t the Internet but it’s the decreasing rate of using our brain and reply on the Internet. Now I use the Internet to know how to open a mouse cover.. I don’t doubt that I will be searching for “How to wash a car” -By the way, There are many people asked this to google, Check it out.

Actually the most frequently asked question of all Internet users is :”Which ISP to subscribe with?”. The answer is well known :”Subscribe with a popular ISP”. This answer is totally wrong and not a decision to make. The reason behind this answer or advice is because people think that the popular ISP is recommended always because it is the most powerful. Powerful here means that they have new devices and their system is fairly reliable to trust them and go pay. Logically that’s right but not anymore.

Networking guys knows that the answer is “Subscribe with the newest ISP in your country”. That’s the most correct one. I don’t want to explain how your service is handled by the ISP because it will take a long time to explain QoS and a few more factors but the issue is about “Sharing“.

The principle is simple, imagine yourself walking through a street with many people, previously, someone told you where to put your feet when you want to walk. you are walking without any problem but your “feelings” will be much better when the street is less crowded.

Feelings above means Performance, when your ISP links are less crowded you will get the best out of your ISP. That’s the real story of our issue, but here is a few questions to ask about the new ISP you want to subscribe with:

Stability of the connection.

Download limit (Bandwidth) – If available.

Customer Support.

If the answer of these questions is positive then do not hesitate, go and subscribe directly but incase it was negative, you should wait.

A few things to consider before you subscribe:

The “home” connection isn’t feasible anymore. People now are looking for Internet connection wherever they go and the home connection isn’t that good if you want to enjoy the internet inside and outside your home. This is a feature you should consider and take care of this side. (a.k.a USB Internet).

Download limitations: In Jordan, we are limited to a fixed download limit. 15GB monthly for 1.MB subscription. The more bandwidth you get the more happiness you feel.

I am trying to get used to Twitter Lists instead of Google reader and all mobile apps. I think that’s the best thing I have ever done before regarding social media resources and I will continue trying to replace everything to be integrated with my twitter account. Robert Scoble wrote about this when Twitter Lists weren’t available for all and he mentioned his reasons. I just want to quote what makes the difference here:

Google Reader is FREAKING SLOW. It sometimes takes longer than a minute to open it up. “But my Google Reader account is super fast,” I can hear you saying. Yeah, but you don’t have any friends and you don’t have many things you are subscribed to. Compare to Twitter lists or Twitter itself. I’m following 10,000+ people. More than 100,000 are following me. Yet Twitter opens instantly.

That’s what is changing the comparison. to go for Twitter Lists not for your slow Google Reader. Instantly, you can get everything you want and publish it within a single click.

The problem is having many RSS feeds, feeds you like, feeds that add a value to your work or study and etc. but having them in one place and loading them all is just pointless. Why would you add everything you like and what “may” benefit you in one place and load them all then switch from folder to folder to find your targeted feeds? what a waste of time.

Twitter Lists are quite powerful and better – at lest to me – than RSS readers like Google reader and the reason is here, I don’t want to get exhausted with thousands of links and resources, and I don’t want to open blog posts to read it then decided to “Fav” it or just delete it. what I want is a brief description of what’s inside and I need to have the choice of read any post or send it to Instapaper. What is much wanted nowadays is technique to keep you up-to-date with your favorite blogs on your mobile device. Google Reader does not offer a good mobile experience.

I like Robert Scoble @Scobleizer lists, he a strong follower of social media, web all tech stuff. I follow Most Influential In Tech, Tech News People, and Founders. Tim O’Reilly @timoreilly has great lists as well, I follow Web 2.0, Tech News and more. You can discover more and more of useful lists from your friends and from people you follow.

The good part is you have the choice to create or just follow anyone’s list. This is a great feature and tool that nobody want to miss. Another good thing is that you don’t need to follow Mashable, TechCrunch or anybody else because they are in your lists. Less stress and load to read and more flexibility.

What about mobile devices? Okay, for the iPhone there are many twitter clients with Twitter Lists integration like Twitter for iPhone, Twittelator, and Echofon. For super users there is a dedicated iPhone app for that called TweetList. I use this app and I can not delete or replace it with any twitter clients. I’m a Twitter for iPhone (Formerly: Tweetie 2) strong user but TweetList makes the process much exciting and time saving.

Mac users? This is good mention for Mac OS X users. I use Nambu the free and feature-rich twitter client for Mac OS X with fully lists integration. There are YoruFukurou (Awesome twitter client for Mac OS X), Socialite and more.

What do you think? Am I mistaken or you think that this issue could be solved in another way?
