Vicente Del Bosque: Messi should have been given the Golden Ball award

Spain National team coach Vicente Del Bosque said that Lionel Messi deserved the Golden Ball more than Diego Forlan.

Del Bosque who led Spanish team get win their first World Cup said that he would have liked if it was some of his players, but if not, it should have been given to Lionel Messi for his performance in World Cup.

Apart from our own, I preferred Messi. Each game he played he made 20 chances to score, he is a phenomenon.

We would have liked it to have been one of us. Messi deserves the Golden Ball more than Forlan.

Diego Forlan who won the Golden Ball in the World Cup for his 5 goals at World Cup. Even though Messi was awesome in World Cup, he didnt score a single goal which is the main reason for him to not win the Golden Ball. Diego Forlan scored some amazing goal, free kick against Ghana, long distance goal against Netherland and another amazing goal against Germany and he truely deserved it.

But winning World Cup at Brazil for Argentina would be an amazing achievement for Lionel Messi. Lets hope World Cup 2014 goes to Messi :)

Lionel Messi have officially thanks all his fans for their great support on Messi official website. They have also reported that the statement from Lionel Messi which all the media and blogs are reporting are false which said, Messi is disappointed and he just wanted to go home. Messi never made such statement and if he wanted to make any of the statement, he would have used his official website to do so.

Heres the official message from Lionel Messi to all his fans,

“It’s over, A dream and the dream of winning this World Cup with Argentina and my choice to give it a joy to my country, who deserves it more for their unconditional support!

I feel very sad. In fact it is the biggest disappointment ever known throughout my career. Germany is to be congratulated for the great game they played. They were better than us.

Now I have to think of only lifting my mood, take on new challenges and continue to work hard to look for the next goal Argentina: Copa America 2011.

Thank you very much for all your support at all times!

2010 – 3rd July

Argentina played against Germany at the World Cup,in Cape Town.

Messi played perfectly,as always. Unfortunately,Germany won…the result was 0-4. Argentina nearly scored a goal…the problem was that it was an ambush.       Anyway,Argentina played amazing. There are some rumors,which says that Diego Maradona won’t be the coach of Argentina any more…well,I hope that he will stay,because I think that his players love him,and he loves them too,and he’s a really good coach.

In my opinion:  I think that Argentina would deserved to win,the germans had just luck.And Messi hasn’t scored any goals in this World Cup..though I think He is the best.Maybe 4 years later…:)

Messi ready to attack Greece

It has been a wonderful start from Lionel Messi in this World Cup, but only things that lack is goals, which wont be a problem if he keeps playing like he did in last two matches. Maradona and others have praised Lionel Messi for his performance, tonight Messi will hopefully start his goal tally in the World Cup and as we all know, it will just take one match for Lionel Messi to get above everyone else :)

With 6 points already in the bag, Argentina have made it to next round, so tonight Maradona will be resting few players, but he have already said that Lionel Messi will be playing tonight which will make it. Greece will have to fight for three points as second place is still open. Although they will fight for their life, they will have to face Lionel Messi who looked in great shape, even though Higuain have scored 3 goals for Argentina, its Messi who have had the most number of shots in this World Cup.

Everything is set for our little genius to show his magic against Greece tonight and hopefully he gets his hatrick tonight :D

Messi leading scorer in Champions League

Lionel Messi is yet again top scorer in Champions League with 8 goals, four superb goals from Arsenal helped him to become the top scorer in the Champions League, even though Barcelona were not able to play in the finals of Champions League, and with Olic not able to score any goals in Champions League final, Lionel Messi was confirmed as the leading goal scorer in Champions League.

Messi have already become the top scorer in Spain and Europe and now yet again lead the Champions League goals tally this season. Opening goal and the closing goal of Messi 8 goals started at Camp Nou, but he would have been sad that he wasnt able to finish his goal scorer at Madrid, but who cares now :)

Lionel Messi scored spectacular 47 goals in the season 2009-2010, the goalscoring started very slow for little Messi, but then he picked it up to another level where no other players could have reached to pickup Pichichi award and also European Golden Boot of season 2009-2010. Everyone who would have thought that 38 goals in one awesome Barcelona season was the best Lionel Messi could have reached, would have felt guilty of doubting a player who just doesnt want to give up and keep fighting harder and harder every season to prove that he have become the greatest footballer player in the history of football, if you dont agree then just wait and watch.

Lionel Messi – Pichichi and European Golden Boot of the year 2009-2010

It was great season for Lionel Messi, not only scoring highest in Spanish League but also scoring more than any other player in Europe. Messi scored his 33rd and 34th goal of the season against Real Valladolid which also took to become the top scorer in Barcelona Club history to score 34 goals in one season alongside Brazilian Ronaldo.

Messi who scored 34 goals in league matches which took this points tally to 68 points in the Golden Boot charts which means he finished eleven points above Chelsea’s Drogba and Udinese’s Natale who both scored 29 goals each.

The 34 goals record was set by Ronaldo, who only spent one year at Barcelona and was highest scorer in Barcelona history to hold the record, but Lionel Messi two goals against Real Valladolid helped him to levelled with Ronaldo records, which is incredible for Lionel Messi.

Lionel Messi will be receiving Pichichi award for the first time with 34 goals, ahead of Higuain who scored 27 goals.

An incredible have come to an end for Lionel Messi, not only beating his previous record of 38 goals in season but taking it to another level and have already register his name as the 7th highest goalscorer for Barcelona. The way Lionel Messi have developed, you wont be wrong to say that next season will again be an incredible season for him.
