I cannot count the number of times someone has told me, "Oh Wendy you can handle it, you're the strongest woman I know." While I have been through some tough situations in my lifetime; I am only human and sometimes, I just want someone to listen to me, a shoulder to cry on, or someone else to take care of things.
Know that it's ok to ask for help; it's ok to cry a while; it's ok to lay in bed for the day; it's ok to not be able to fix it all; it's ok to let someone take care of you for a change. That doesn't mean your weak; it only means you are in touch with your true feelings, wants, and needs; and in all honesty, it takes a really strong person to admit their weaknesses.

Craft Hope Project 12 – Bracelets for Russian Orphans

I’m so behind on posting that I’m playing catch-up with my projects, charity, gifts, and “stuff”!! That’s what I get for being lazy!!!!!!!

The following pictures are my contribution to Craft Hope’s Project 12 back in April and May 2011. The project is over, but Jade seems to think that we may be doing something similar in the future for another orphanage, etc.

... that God will get you through the pain. Everyone experiences pain sometimes, emotional and physical. Next time it threatens to overwhelm you, take a deep breath. As you breathe slowly, picture God holding you, crying with you, giving you the strength to get through.

There are times when life can be overwhelming;
We don't know why we are feeling certain feelings;
We think there's something wrong with us;
We just can't seem to figure it all out;
Take a deep breath and know;
It's ok not to have all the answers;
There is nothing wrong with you;
The answers will present themselves when the time is right;
For now, Just Be Where You Are!

1. The only question is “to be, or not to be?”
2. I wish to make my charity Christmas stockings all in one day.
3. Three things on my desk: Dust bunny Momma, Dust bunny Daddy, and Dust bunny babies. LOL!
4. Go to the local thrift store is the one thing I HAVE to do today!
5. I love playing with Yarn.
6. A trip to Wal-Mart overwhelms the senses. (and not in a good way!)
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to starting another crocheted beret hat for my girlfriend and her daughter; tomorrow my plans include yard work if it doesn’t rain; and Sunday, I want to …..hmmmm…. not sure yet. Maybe visit with my Dad!

One Saturday – Lifetime Memories

I took grandma on an adventure today! At first I was just going to stop at Wendy's for a sandwich, then Walgreens for a few things, but changed my mind. I kept driving and we ended up in Chesterland! We stopped and visited with three of my friends, saw my brother, then ended up at my Dad's. Grandma LOVED all the horses!! She was sooo cute! Today, I made special memories for my heart!

A man and woman had been married for more than 60 years.
They had shared everything. They had talked about everything.
They had kept no secrets from each other except that the little
Old woman had a shoe box in the top of her closet that she had
cautioned her husband never to open or ask her about.

For all of these years, he had never thought about the box, but
One day the little old woman got very sick and the doctor said
she would not recover.

In trying to sort out their affairs, the little old man took
down the shoe box and took it to his wife's bedside.
She agreed that it was time that he should know what was
in the box. When he opened it, he found two crocheted dolls
and a stack of money totaling $95,000.
He asked her about the contents.

'When we were to be married,' she said, ' my grandmother told me
The secret of a happy marriage was to never argue. She told me that If I ever got angry with you, I should just keep quiet and crochet a doll.'
The little old man was so moved; he had to fight back tears. Only two precious dolls were in the box. She had only been angry with him two times in all those years of living and loving. He almost burst with happiness.
'Honey,' he said, 'that explains the doll, but what about all of this money? Where did it come from?'
'Oh,' she said, 'that's the money I made from selling the dolls.'

Sometimes I find myself spinning in circles;
Trying to figure out where it is I belong;
Feeling as if I am all alone;
Searching for my special purpose, that special gift;
Ya know, the one everyone keeps talking about;
But I seem to be opening the wrong door;
What am I really here for?
As the thoughts begin to take over;
I remember , it's ok to be in this place;
I am not stuck, I am growing;
I breathe in deeply, as a smile comes over my face;

When you feel as though you can't find the answers and you just feel like your going around in circles; know that you are right where you should be. I know this one is hard. I can remember being told this quite often, ( and still am for that matter) but it took where I was to get to where I am; and yes I still find myself going around in those circles, but I choose to believe that by persevering and moving forward, no matter what; soon I will be exactly where I want to be and By "Staying in the moment", things don't look so overwhelming. Take in all that you can from the Universe and your God. Breathe in the energy of positivity, let go of the negative. Do what you can and on those days that you just can't seem to do so much, that is ok too; everyone needs a break from it all , every now and then. In the midst of it all, know that you are unique and that you matter to many; that you make this Universe complete and are here for a purpose. I know those are powerful words and sometimes we don't feel them, but we were all wonderfully created, with a purpose in store for each of us. I am still searching for mine, while I do what it is that I love, and leave the rest to God; He will lead me where I need to go! Trust the process, my friends!" ~~~~~~Wendy

1. One of my favorite birthday presents was when my girlfriend had a company come and put smiley face signs all over my lawn. :)

2. I had enough of her lies and manipulations; it was as simple as that.

3. The moon knows many secrets, but tells no tales.

4. Loving someone includes warts and all.

5. I was tempted by his offer, but was reminded that he is not to be trusted.

6. Resting in a comfy lounge chair under a warm sun is one of the things I like to do on vacation.

7. And as for the weekend, today I'm looking forward to working in the yard if it doesn’t rain. Tomorrow my plans include visiting with a friend; and Sunday, I want to lay in bed all day!
