This little dude was a blast to be with. When he wasn’t cracking up at me, he provided the complete range of expressions any 5 month old might display. Below you’ll see a few of my favorites, including one of his parents convincing him to relax his furrowed brow.

Elm Bank Reservation

This family below was referred to me by another client (thank you!). They wanted the session held at Elm Bank Reservation in Wellesley and I’m so grateful they did. I had never been before and the beautiful grounds, wooden climbing structures and vegetable gardens were as much fun for me as it was for the kids. Here are some of my favorite expressions from the afternoon.

The mom of this family, Michelle, has been my kids’ swim teacher for the past 6 months (highly effective I might add). She asked me to photograph her three children with a focus on her daughter who has Down Syndrome. Michelle heard about how Target recently had a child model with Down Syndrome in their advertising and loved seeing this boy in the mix with other kids. Michelle knows how important it is for all types of kids to be represented in advertising, and is something she might consider pursuing.

I say go for it. Her daughter was darling and engaging and provided many sweet images. She was even cute in a patient sort of way when her mom had to redo her hair elastics. Her two brothers were such troopers as well. We spent the entire time in their big back yard, singing songs, chasing each other, and and playing games. What fun.

Turning 3!

I got to re-visit this family at their Cape home. Their twin girls were turning three and extended family was in town. Before we headed down to the beach we took care of the “nice clothing” group images – which I won’t show in case they are going to be used for holiday cards. I had such a blast photographing this crew tromping around the beach, finding mussels, submerged sandbars, and a whole new level of beach confidence.

I was able to once again photograph this family at their house on Cape Cod. Weather was iffy but the rain held off and created a majestic backdrop.

Below are some special people I have been meaning to thank with a photo session. The little girl in the first photo is a very expressive and passionate soul. She had a million things to talk about and managed to convey quite a lot without actual words. Her three cousins patiently waited for their turn and I was able to create a lovely holiday card photo for both families.

This little guy was a classmate of my daughter’s in preschool. He’s quite the charming fellow and I’ve become smitten with his little sister, too. After getting a few of the four of them together, we walked over to the bike path for some creative (we were being safe) photography.

So nice to come back and photograph this beautiful family. We just had to take a walk down their sidewalk because the neighborhood was drenched in amazing foliage. After playing around outside the girls wanted to head in for some bed jumping.

A fun playdate with this sweet family. We started by the Make Way for Ducklings statues and the girls warmed up and got comfortable with me taking their picture. Taking photos must have looked like fun, because by the end the little one started taking her own.
