We planned to go to Brastagi Highland to spend the Nyepi Day. Not like we were celebrating the day but it was a public holiday and we didn’t want to waste it. Before heading to the highland, we went to the shopping mall first to buy some colon and body cleanser, snacks and mineral water. We spend the tea time at Mr. Pancake, which was opened on last year.

On the above picture, it is called crunchy pancake, something like that with chocolate ice-cream as a topping. Nothing special for me to shout about. It’s the interior that worth mentioning (more on next post).

Relatives of mine were coming over to Medan on last weekend. Dearest hubby and I were pointed to be the driver during their visit, which luckily only two days on the weekend. Otherwise we wouldn’t be able to leave our work. Pfiuh.

We arrived slighlty earlier than the scheduled time. The domestic arrival area was oh-so-crowded with people. It was oh-so-noisy too just like a wet market or a coffee shop, where you can hear people talking about cheapest auto insurance to their kids academic result. Fortunately the flight didn’t experience any delay and it saved me from hearing more gossips.

We once joke that if we were to stay in a cool weather place like Brastagi Highland, we will have a very little chance of getting acne. Our face will probably be as clean and as smooth as a new ceramic. Oh well, I know it’s not the best comparison ever. But bottom line is, the face might be oily free and we won’t need to look for the best acne products to cure the ugly face.

Dearest hubby and I were chit chatting in the morning at the garden. The topic went from hemorrhoid treatment to cancer and all sort of heavy medical topics. Not sure why we suddenly have the interest in medical related stuffs.

Out of a sudden, he saw this weird worm hanging in the middle of the air. Having a high curiosity, he went on to see it from near and took the above picture. The blur background came originally from the camera since he was taking a near object. A weird finding for us.

With so many meals outing on last weekend which involves pork meat and seafoods, I can hear my brother screams for belly fat burner to help him from having a bigger belly.

The above picture show him, I mean part of his arm (cropped his face out on a purpose), posing beside the tank of a huge lobster. I’m not sure if huge lobster is the correct name to describe this thing, but whatever. Obviously we can only pose with it and not ordering it, since the price is way out of our budget. We might need to tie up our belt if we insist to order one.

I don’t mind having to queue with a long lane as long as the people is civilized, which means they don’t cut the queue and squeeze in out of a sudden. But I always have a bad experience when it comes to long queue. The latest one was when I was queue-ing for check in at the airport.

At every counter, there is at least two lines which goes into one line later on. Everyone trying to cut the line and squeeze in to check-in first. I wonder why they can’t stand still and follow the queue? After all, they will have their own turn. Not like if they wait longer, their adipex products or other hand-gifts will lost.

Queue-ing is a very basic manner and if it can’t be done right, this country won’t experience any growth.

Few weeks ago, my hubby has a reunion dinner with the high school mates. I went along with him since we thought that others must be bringing their partner along too. But nah, everyone came alone leaving the wife and girlfriend at home.

Since hubby attended boy school, practically his classmates are all male. When male meets up, there is just two things that can pull them along together which is cigarette and beer. Add up with warm Amish fireplace, it’s a perfect match!

I can say that the reunion was quite a successful one with 40% didn’t turn up. But this is their first big scale reunion. I wish I can have mine soon.

I am not sure if I wasn’t aware before this or what, but recently (since last year actually) I notice that there is more and more high school or college mates whom are getting married. Probably because most of us have arrived at a certain age where either we are in a relationship or tie the knot.

With so many wedding invitations coming in, I have to hunt for wedding accessories and dresses. I try to use back (read: recycle) the old-but-still-looks-good item to avoid spending too much money on this. It’s just a matter of outlook and appearance after all.

Chinese New Year is usually equal to buying new clothes, especially red color which is to be wore on the first day of CNY. Most of the time I will buy red clothes but I skip it this year. Instead, I go for a custom made qipao / cheongsam. It gives me a more Chinese-y feeling and more grown up.

The above picture is my cheongsam, not that awesome as I expected. It is a bit loose hence it doesn’t show the curve really well. Now I wonder if I grow fatter and the cheongsam becomes too tight for me, I definitely asking help from dieting pills and probably adding with exercise. But now I am still too far from fat, hence it’s ok to eat more and put aside about the cheongsam and body size.

I gotta admit that I can get bore very fast. But it doesn’t happen everytime though. Sometimes I can stick to a routine for months or years and not getting sick of going through it. Just like how I can have noodle soup from the same stall as my breakfast for five days in a row and not complaining or whining. I’m weird sometimes.

I am not going to pick foods for now as I am planing to visit Plano cosmetic dentist at the middle of this year. It’s been in my agenda to go for teeth surgery, as in putting up teeth brace and do teeth whitening. Yes, I’m vain. But it isn’t just for the sake of beauty but also health. Uneven teeth has been bothering me in eating foods for years. Can’t wait until mid year is here!
