Few weeks ago, my hubby has a reunion dinner with the high school mates. I went along with him since we thought that others must be bringing their partner along too. But nah, everyone came alone leaving the wife and girlfriend at home.

Since hubby attended boy school, practically his classmates are all male. When male meets up, there is just two things that can pull them along together which is cigarette and beer. Add up with warm Amish fireplace, it’s a perfect match!

I can say that the reunion was quite a successful one with 40% didn’t turn up. But this is their first big scale reunion. I wish I can have mine soon.

I am not sure if I wasn’t aware before this or what, but recently (since last year actually) I notice that there is more and more high school or college mates whom are getting married. Probably because most of us have arrived at a certain age where either we are in a relationship or tie the knot.

With so many wedding invitations coming in, I have to hunt for wedding accessories and dresses. I try to use back (read: recycle) the old-but-still-looks-good item to avoid spending too much money on this. It’s just a matter of outlook and appearance after all.

Chinese New Year is usually equal to buying new clothes, especially red color which is to be wore on the first day of CNY. Most of the time I will buy red clothes but I skip it this year. Instead, I go for a custom made qipao / cheongsam. It gives me a more Chinese-y feeling and more grown up.

The above picture is my cheongsam, not that awesome as I expected. It is a bit loose hence it doesn’t show the curve really well. Now I wonder if I grow fatter and the cheongsam becomes too tight for me, I definitely asking help from dieting pills and probably adding with exercise. But now I am still too far from fat, hence it’s ok to eat more and put aside about the cheongsam and body size.

I gotta admit that I can get bore very fast. But it doesn’t happen everytime though. Sometimes I can stick to a routine for months or years and not getting sick of going through it. Just like how I can have noodle soup from the same stall as my breakfast for five days in a row and not complaining or whining. I’m weird sometimes.

I am not going to pick foods for now as I am planing to visit Plano cosmetic dentist at the middle of this year. It’s been in my agenda to go for teeth surgery, as in putting up teeth brace and do teeth whitening. Yes, I’m vain. But it isn’t just for the sake of beauty but also health. Uneven teeth has been bothering me in eating foods for years. Can’t wait until mid year is here!

Although I like the green and refreshing environment here, I can tell you how much I hate the traffic and the way people drives here. Yes, I am not the person who sits behind the wheel but it is frustrating enough to witness the ridiculous traffic. Lots of roundabout has been changed to traffic light since people here doesn’t have the courage to go ahead and take turn when it comes to roundabout. Traffic light is the best choice for them cause they just need to wait for the green light which means it’s their turn to go.

Sometimes I feel like pulling my hair, which is why hair loss vitamins will come in handy. They should have stay in Medan and experience the way we drive there. Initiative and daring, we cannot not having those two in our life.

Chinese New Year usually means gathering or visiting family and friends. Since it is just the 5th day of Chinese New Year, we take a day off and visit friend’s house. Have a good catch up, stuff this stomach with the sinful yet yummylicious junk food.

This mind is being tricky by telling oneself that Chinese New Year only comes once in a year hence it is OK to indulge in the junk food and get sick later on drink more water to stay healthy I mean. For the pregnant mom, consume more prenatal vitamins to stay healthy during this festive season.

The weather was very hot and sunny on the first day of Chinese New Year. But it continues to rain after that. Sigh.

One thing that I like from this small town is that it has more green space than Medan city. Just drive for a few minutes and you will see mini green forest. The left and right side of the road is filled with huge trees which is oh so calming.

I think if I were to stay here longer, my eyesight can be cured to normal cause one said that seeing green color (especially trees and leaves) will do good to your eyesight. My acne gel might last longer too since there is less dust here. Well who knows. The power of nature.

Hubby and I were so bored at home, despite that it is just the second day of Chinese New Year. We have no family visit thing or whatsoever hence we decided to drive to town and check out the treadmill promo. We have wanting to buy a sport equipment since ages ago. Having sit all day long in front of the computer without exercise will harm our precious body and we are very aware of that.

It was raining during our way there. Then there was this selfish irresponsible driver who drove in the middle of two lanes. Causing a long empty space in front of our lane. Ugh. Looks like somebody needs to attend driving school once again.

It is my first time celebrating Chinese New Year eve at this town, far away from my family. Hubby used to tell me how they celebrate Chinese New Year here. There will be firecrackers non stop especially during the eve. I finally witness it myself. They have started to play firecrackers since afternoon and getting hotter at night.

It is so loud and merry until I come to a point that I might need natural sleep aid incase I can’t sleep due to the noise. But we soon join in the firecracker party as we also bought some. What I like is, one is able to see the beautiful different styles of firecrackers from house’s balcony or when driving on the road, cause basically almost everyone has stocks of firecrackers at home to welcome this new year. What a way of having fun!

This town has been filled with red lantern since one month ago, be it in residential area, houses, cafes, restaurants, or shopping malls. The feeling of Chinese New Year celebration is so strong here. No doubt, there is lots of Chinese in the town. Anyway, the first day of Chinese New Year falls on Valentine’s Day. This could bring some dilemma to couple, of whether to spend the day with family or boyfriend/girlfriend.

Bad news is, I am somewhat not feeling well. There is a big chance that I might fall sick on the new year itself. Gotta consume more multivitamin supplement and drink more plain water to stay strong and healthy. It is no fun to fall sick on Chinese New Year cause there will be lotsa foods and snacks!
