I was looking at my picture folders and realize how little pictures I had taken during this year 2010. Let me tell you what are my excuses.

First, I notice that I have taken less and less pictures ever since we upgraded from compact digicam to DSLR. Weird right? Cause hubby and I actually dislike bring along such a huge ‘baby’ – quite a hassle. I still prefer having a compact digicam with me, can put in our pocket or bag. So yea, I’m eye-ing to purchase Canon camera which is around RM800. I forget the product series but it’s Ixus for sure.

Second, this town has nothing interesting to be photographed be it the foods or the places (if you haven’t know, I move to this small town since married to my other half on end of last year).

Wootz… So it’s September already? Where does the two per third of year 2010 go?

Anyway, months with ending of -ber is usually related to raining season. And yes, it’s been raining for the past few days but sometimes when the weather is hot, it can be really really hot. Making me feel like jumping into swimming pool to cool down the heat. How great it is if we have our own private swimming pool at our house’s garden area! Girl can dream eh?

I am so ready to change pool filters once in a while. In return, just let me own the pool all by myself.

On December this year, it will be 3 years since I jumped into freelance work and collaborating with my then-boyfriend (read: now husband ). It is such a blessing for us to be able to use our skill and talent, while working from the comfort of home. There goes the stress of dealing with traffic jam, bus which comes late, office politics, and the list goes on. I shall leave it for another entry about freelance and SOHO.

Although we are pretty happy with our web design business right now, we are still looking forward to expand and venture into other industry, maybe online auction or online app site? Still thinking to have our next startup project.

Let’s work towards a brighter future.

In this century, having a free wifi is like a must-thing for a coffee shop and cafe. Surfing the internet while sipping a cup of coffee either via smart phone or netbook has become a lifestyle.

Years ago an insurance agent has to bring plenty of paper while meeting up with his prospective buyer. But now, he can just bring a netbook and show online insurance quotes to the prospective buyer. Easy and effective!

The down side is, although there is free wifi sign at some cafes, it’s actually locked and we need to ask for password to use the so called free Wifi. Oh well, that’s the definition of ‘free’ now eh?

This town was greeted by flood on last weekend and the peak time was on Monday. It was the result of heavy rain from other smaller town hence the river’s water level increased. Town center was flooded until the height of knee, at least. So many houses were flooded, imagine the furnitures on first floor of the house.

Kids still went to school on Monday. Holding their shoes and walk across the flood to school. Time to look for Best Online Schools so can stay safe at home during flooding time. One step ahead than home schooling.

I am not girlie at all but I have a special crush towards pink color and whatever stuff that is related to pink, except hot pink car which is too much for me. So when I walked into an accessories store and came across this pinkie straps for mobile phone, I was about to buy all of them.

Put aside the pinkie stuffs, what I like from the store is their barcode and POS systems along with great customer service. I bought hair band, earring, many more and some of the barcode sticker was kinda dirty but their scanner still able to read it in one go. I dislike those lousy barcode scanner that wastes your time cause after several attempt of scanning, it still fails and the staff has to manually type it in.

Everything around us is a form of art, do you agree on that? Yes I do. Kitchen cutlery is an art and how you place them on the dining table is an art too. Just that they are either ordinary art or special unique art.

That’s why I am so in love with Bali the paradise island. Nothing is ordinary there, even home ventilation can be created in unique way. Just look at the crafting around the mini cottage in the above picture. So artistic and inspiring. It brings a whole new energy to our morning while having breakfast there.

In 1990s, we would be bringing map on our hand while driving to avoid getting lost on the messy highway, especially in the big city. But as technology getting better, we can have our very own road assistance, named GPS! Hehe..

I started to get in closure with GPS system when hubby worked in the big city. We used to get lost pretty often and decided to search gps reviews online. We decided to buy smart phone with GPS inside to save cost and multi-function. What a helpful tool!

Oh yeah, this is the picture of the dirty toilet from an old shop. I guess the shop has been put there without people renting or living there for years hence the ugly situation.

Recently it goes through construction project. I don’t know how the workers did it, but the after situation is very clean with new floor tile. I don’t have the new picture though.

There is a cultural festival going on in town for 10 days. Since I just moved here end of last year, this is my first time visiting the festival. Reading from previous year reviews, I hold up expectation that this will be an interesting festival with lots of culture related stuffs going on. Basically, an eye opening experience, that’s what I was thinking about.

In reality, there is less cultural related stuffs, but more to food fair, trade fair and fun fair. You can find tractor, horse tack, breads, etc there. Seeing this festival as a whole, it’s quite entertaining indeed.
