The mornings have been simply beautiful though, and you can finally feel the temps start to drop when the sun goes down.... so according to Phoenix standards, we are heading into our season of Autumn!

This candle was one of the projects we did in our last Technique's Class. We learned how to "stamp" on candles, and in this case, we heat embossed the leaves from Autumn Splendor in gold embossing powder. Some of us sponged autumn colors on the tissue paper before adhering it to the candle - others left it alone after embossing the images, and still another stamped in Versamark, then an autumn-colored ink and embossed - it was equally beautiful any way it was done. We also played with shrink plastic to make the ribbon tags. I love how small the images became - they are too cute!

I hope that you are having a wonderful weekend - take care!

A Couple More for Christmas

Here's a couple more cards using the pre-packaged eyelet cards I briefly spoke about in the previous post. The beautiful, contemporary reindeer stamp is called Dasher and can be found on the last page of the main catalog. It was stamped in Night of Navy ink. The snowflake is stamped in Bashful Blue ink, and it comes from the Level 1 hostess set, Patterned Pines. It was stamped on the cardfront repeatedly without re-inking, so that you end up with snowflakes of different shades.... a very pretty 3-D effect! A line of silver brads accent the left side of that card.

The snowmen stamp is from the Level 3 set, The More the Merrier, and the snowmen's scarves and nose were colored in with a Real Red and Only Orange marker. A quick and cute splash of color!! A strip of knotted ribbon finishes off that little panel, and Real Red cardstock backs the eyelet area to "Pop" that eyelet pattern.

Have a great Friday! :)

Two for Christmas

Hello! A quick post for today to show you a couple of Christmas cards made mostly from products available in the Holiday Mini catalog. The white cardbases are from pre-packaged eyelet border cards found in a big box store. I added strips of cardstock to make the eyelet border pop a bit. On the left, the colors are Rich Razzleberry, with the Level 1 Hostess set from the mini called Patterned Pines. The ink was stamped in Versamark, then inked, and heat embossed with Iridescent Ice, so it's super sparkly IRL. The snowflakes were die-cut from the Merry Details Sizzlet and adhered with brads on the side. I love this card!

The card on the right used Garden Green cardstock with the Delightful Decorations ornament heat embossed with Versamark/Real Red ink and Iridescent Ice embossing powder. This was punched out with the Ornament punch and popped up with dimensionals. The pine stamp came from a retired stamp set (sorry, can't remember the name offhand) and was stamped repeatedly to create a branch. I used a small length of the silver cording to complete the hanging ornament. The sentiment comes from Four the Holidays.

I hope you have a great day!
