Senator Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said the health care bill passed last night by the House of Representatives is "dead on arrival to the Senate."

Graham argued that the House bill was "written for liberals, by liberals.

"Just look at how it passed; it passed 220 to 215. It passed by two votes. You had [39] Democrats vote against the bill," Graham told "Face the Nation" host Bob Schieffer Sunday.

He also admitted that if it were to come down to it, he would join his independent colleague Senator Joe Lieberman, I-Conn., in filibustering a bill including the so-called public option should it come to the Senate floor.

CHICAGO — Chicago Department of Public Health officials say they've vaccinated almost 51,000 people against the swine flu in seven days.

More than 8,200 doses of the vaccine were delivered Saturday. The health department has seven vaccine sites across the city.

The vaccinations are available for free to Chicago residents at increased risk for flu and flu complications.

Those considered high-risk include pregnant women, people 6 months to 24 years of age, people who live with or care for infants younger than 6 months and adults with certain health conditions.

Jim Carrey's Scrooge is collecting holiday donations from movie fans with a $31 million opening weekend for his new take on "A Christmas Carol."

SEATTLE, Washington (Nov. 8) - A suspect in the shooting of a Seattle, Washington, police officer is also believed to be behind the bombing of four police cars, Seattle Assistant Police Chief Jim Pugel said at a press conference Saturday.

Christopher Monfort, 41, remained hospitalized in serious condition after being shot by officers during a confrontation Friday.

"This man, from everything that we can tell, appears to be a lone domestic terrorist," Pugel said.

NEW DELHI -- India will take appropriate steps next year to wind down its accommodative fiscal stance, and the country's economy is poised to grow more than 7% next fiscal year, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said Sunday.

"The performance in highly adverse circumstances indicates the resilience of our economy," Mr. Singh said at the India Economic Summit.

India's economy expanded 6.7% in the fiscal year ended March 31, sharply lower than an average 8.8% growth in the previous four years. It is estimated to grow 6.5% this fiscal year.
